Chapter 421: Little One Goes to Kindergarten

Ye Xiaoyuan turned his head, and before he could ask, he heard Ann’s sweet little voice:

"Big Uncle, the little bed is where Ann sleeps, the middle bed is for Mommy, and the other bed is for Daddy!"

His suspicions were confirmed by Ann’s words, and surprise flickered in Ye Xiaoyuan’s eyes as he looked at his parents.

Old Mrs. Ye calmly explained, "Yesterday, we went to a banquet with Ann. It got too late, so we let Haochen stay here for the night."

Old Mr. Ye nodded with a smile. "That’s right."

Ye Xiaoyuan quickly composed himself, a smile spreading across his lips. "So that’s how it is."

He walked over to the hospital bed, sitting down in a chair, his gaze filled with affection as he looked at his sister lying in the bed. "Zhaosi, I’m back."

His mission was complete; those connected to the kidnapping case had paid their dues and vanished from the world. Yet, even with those people gone, his sister remained in her deep slumber, not waking up.

Ye Xiaoyuan took her hand and said, "Zhaosi, don’t sleep so much anymore; wake up soon."

The person on the bed remained quietly unconscious, as if she hadn’t heard his words.

Lately, Qin Sui’an had been staying by her mother’s side, with Qin Haochen also around. He only left for work and spent the rest of the time with his little one beside his wife.

As the new semester at kindergarten approached, it was time for little one to start attending. Qin Haochen took her back to Bay Villa to prepare for kindergarten.

By age, Qin Sui’an should have started in the kindergarten’s small class, but the teachers conducted some simple tests before enrollment. Ann had already met the requirements for the middle class and could be exposed to more knowledge points early on.

After discussions among the Qin and Ye families, and considering Qin Sui’an’s preferences, they decided to skip the small class and go straight to the middle class.

On the first day of the new semester, little one was leaving home for the first time to explore a completely unfamiliar environment, with new teachers and classmates.

Everyone came to the kindergarten gate to send their little one off to school: Qin and Ye family elders, Ann’s dad, and her six older brothers, along with Ye family’s elders and her three uncles.

While the family felt a bit reluctant to part, Qin Sui’an was filled with curiosity about everything new. She held her teacher’s hand and walked step by step toward the kindergarten entrance, then turned to wave to her family. "Don’t worry! Ann will be home after school!"

"Goodbye, Ann!"

"We’ll come to pick you up later, Ann!"

"Ann..."

After saying goodbye to her family, Qin Sui’an followed her teacher inside.

Before reaching her middle class classroom, she ran into a familiar face.

"Little Ann!" Shi Yiyin, dressed in the same kindergarten uniform, happily rushed over and hugged her tightly. "This is great! Little Ann is at my kindergarten! We can play together every day!"

Qin Sui’an was squeezed tightly, her soft little face pouting slightly. "Yiyin is in the big class, so we’re in different classes."

"That’s okay! We can still play together!" Shi Yiyin was determined to visit little Ann in the middle class often!

The kindergarten teacher, anticipating what was to come, gently coaxed Shi Yiyin to let go of Ann. "Yiyin, the big class has its own curriculum, and Ann has her own lessons in the middle class."

"Then..." Shi Yiyin didn’t care much about the big class curriculum, but she didn’t want to disrupt little Ann’s classes either.

Reluctantly, she conceded, "Alright, I’ll come back to play with little Ann after class."

The kindergarten teacher sighed in relief; at least for now, she had managed to pacify Shi Yiyin, or else they wouldn’t dare to really stop her from coming to the middle class.

Everyone knew that the Qin and Shi families had a great relationship. Recently, a young lady from the Shao family had offended them, and she had been sent to a rehabilitation center for professional training. It was said that the Shao family was preparing immigration papers, waiting for her release so they could leave the country for good.

Shi Yiyin knew that since school just started, the class schedule would be delayed, so she accompanied Ann to the middle class classroom.

Shi Qinghan, also in the big class, was "ordered" by the teacher to come to the door of the middle class.

He immediately spotted little Ann surrounded by other children. He watched her for a while, but when the class bell rang, he remembered his own business.

Feigning calm, Shi Qinghan entered the middle class classroom and approached little Ann and his cousin.

He greeted Qin Sui’an first. "Little Ann, good morning."

"Good morning, Brother Qinghan!" Qin Sui’an replied obediently.

Shi Qinghan couldn’t help but smile, then turned to his cousin. "It’s time to go back to class."

Shi Yiyin pouted, clearly unhappy, but she didn’t want to disturb little Ann’s class, so she reluctantly followed her brother out of the middle class classroom.

On their way back to the big class, Shi Yiyin whispered her complaints. "I wish I could be in the same class as little Ann... Brother, do you think Mom would agree if I told her I wanted to switch to the middle class?"

Shi Qinghan thought about it secretly; if he went back to the middle class, his parents would be quite surprised.

He couldn’t go back to the middle class.

Concluding this, Shi Qinghan sternly told Shi Yiyin, "Only fools would downgrade. Little Ann is so smart; she’ll keep advancing."

By that time, they could be classmates.

Shi Yiyin’s eyes brightened, and she jumped up excitedly. "That’s right! Little Ann is in the middle class at just three years old, and I’m six in the big class! Little Ann is so smart! Amazing!"

Shi Qinghan didn’t voice the thoughts that lingered behind.

Little Ann was already so impressive now; she would only get better in the future.

If he didn’t work hard, he’d soon find it hard to keep up with little Ann.

He clenched his fists secretly and quickened his pace back to the big class. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮

Shi Yiyin realized she had lost some distance and quickly ran to catch up. "Brother! Why are you walking so fast? Wait for me!"

From this day on, Qin Sui’an’s kindergarten life began.

As Shi Yiyin said, she would run to the middle class to play with Ann right after class, only to be called back by her brother Shi Qinghan when it was time for lessons.

This back and forth became a routine, and the kindergarten teachers got used to it. Whenever Shi Yiyin couldn’t find anyone in the big class, they would have Shi Qinghan fetch her from the middle class.

And Shi Qinghan was happy about it too, as it gave him a reason to visit little Ann in the middle class.
