Qin Haochen looked at little one’s adorable yet conflicted expression and encouraged her, "You only get birthday gifts once a year, so Ann can speak up boldly."
"Well..." Qin Sui’an tilted her little face up, her ears turning red with embarrassment. "Daddy, I want a matching outfit, the same as what Daddy and Mommy wear."
Except for wearing the kindergarten uniform from Monday to Thursday, kids could wear their favorite clothes on Fridays. Qin Sui’an often saw other children in matching outfits with their parents and thought it looked wonderful.
Even though Qin Haochen had guessed that little one wanted a birthday gift, he never expected it to be just a set of matching family outfits.
Suppressing his emotions, he bent down and kissed little one’s cheek. "Alright, Daddy will get Ann a set of clothes that matches with Mommy and Daddy."
His expression softened as he said, "Once your mommy wakes up, we can all wear the same outfits and go out to play."
Hearing his agreement, Qin Sui’an cheered joyfully, "Yay~!" She opened her arms and hugged her dad tightly, her sweet little voice saying, "Daddy, Ann loves you~"
Qin Haochen felt a pang in his heart, warmth spreading through him as he smiled down at her. "Daddy loves you too."
He was determined to fulfill little one’s small wish as best as he could. That day, his assistant, He Yan, received a new task from the president: to find a clothing designer.
This task seemed simple but was actually quite challenging. He Yan knew he couldn’t just find any designer; he had to carefully consider their style and capability.
While he didn’t need to worry much about the price, every other detail had to be meticulously chosen.
Soon, news spread that CEO Qin Haochen was looking for a clothing designer. He Yan’s workload increased as he had to carefully sift through the profiles of the designers sent to him each day.
After two full days, He Yan finally organized the materials for three designers and submitted them for the president’s review.
"President, these three designers are from—"
Before he could finish, Qin Haochen raised his hand to stop him. He quickly fell silent and stepped back to stand quietly.
Qin Haochen paused his work to seriously review the documents. A few minutes later, he pointed to one designer and said, "Check this designer’s availability. If they can free up their schedule in the next half month, finalize it, and also clear my schedule for that time."
He Yan was puzzled. While he could understand needing the designer’s time for a task, why would the president need to clear his own schedule?
Confused, He Yan asked, "President, do you need this designer to create clothes?"
"No." Qin Haochen closed the designer’s file and pushed it back towards He Yan, returning to his unfinished work. "I need this designer to be my teacher."
He Yan was stunned for several seconds, finally uttering in confusion, "Huh?"
The president was switching careers to become a clothing designer?
Qin Haochen shot him a glance, not bothering to explain. "Is there anything else?"
"No, nothing else." He Yan quickly snapped back to reality, taking the designer’s materials and respectfully saying, "I’ll contact this designer right away."
Following the president’s instructions was all he needed to do; no further clarification was necessary.
On the first of the month, the kindergarten held the birthday party as planned, where Qin Sui’an celebrated with other children born that month.
After the party, Qin Haochen arrived at the kindergarten entrance to pick up little one and take her home.
Seeing her sweet smile, he knew she had a great day. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
"Daddy!" Qin Sui’an ran excitedly towards her father.
Then, reaching into her pocket, she pulled out a rainbow lollipop and handed it to him. "Daddy, this lollipop is for you~"
Qin Haochen scooped little one up with one arm while accepting the lollipop with the other, unable to hide his smile. "Thank you, Ann."
"You’re welcome~" Qin Sui’an patted her pocket happily, her eyes sparkling. "I saved another lollipop for Mommy~"
"Alright, we’ll go find Mommy later," Qin Haochen said as he carried her towards the car, asking, "How did you get a lollipop? Did the teacher give it to you?"
Qin Sui’an nodded vigorously, then shook her head. "Well, it’s not exactly a gift, but it is from the teacher."
Looking up at him, she explained earnestly, "At the birthday party, we played games, and I won twice, so I got two lollipops."
"Just two lollipops?" Qin Haochen was slightly taken aback. "Then this one is for you."
Qin Sui’an immediately shook her head. "I already had cake, so the lollipops are for Daddy and Mommy."
If she wanted to eat lollipops, she surely wouldn’t have won only two games.
Understanding now, Qin Haochen put little one’s lollipop in his pocket. "Okay, then Daddy will save it to enjoy later."
"Mm-hmm!"
Once they were in the backseat of the car, which slowly drove away from the kindergarten towards the hospital, Qin Sui’an held onto her other lollipop, planning to give it to her mom as soon as they arrived.
Suddenly remembering something, she tilted her head towards her dad and said, "Daddy, Yiyin asked if there’s going to be a birthday party. She wants to come to Ann’s birthday party."
"Of course there will be," Qin Haochen said, gently ruffling her hair. "But we haven’t arranged the details yet. We can discuss it tonight with your grandparents, okay?"
Qin Sui’an blinked her round eyes, unsure why they needed to discuss the birthday party.
Seeing her confusion, Qin Haochen patiently explained, "We need to decide where to hold the party, how to decorate it, and who to invite. We’ll discuss all of that together."
"Oh~" Qin Sui’an blinked in understanding, then raised her little hand and said, "Ann wants to invite Daddy and Mommy!"
Qin Haochen couldn’t help but chuckle. "Alright, who else does Ann want to invite?"
"Grandpa, Grandma, Granddad and Grandmom, my brothers, and my uncles!" Qin Sui’an excitedly wiggled her little feet in the air. "And the big white goose~"
