Chapter 31 Chapter 31 [Do you like him? ]

Liang Siyu was so angry that he vomited blood. [Lin Qianyuan! Can you put your love before your friendship?]

Lin Qianyuan curled his lips and said, "Yes."

"..." Liang Siyu didn't want to continue to humiliate himself, so he made his purpose clear, "Which ward are you staying in?"

Before Lin Qianyuan could reply, Liang Siyu was furious and sent out several messages in quick succession, his anger bursting out of his phone screen. "I advise you not to lie. You hid such a big thing from me, and I'm very angry now!"

There was a knock on the ward door. Aunt Wu stood up from the sofa and went to open it. A nurse came in with a medical cart. Lin Qianyuan glanced at her and held out his left hand to facilitate the injection.

Feeling the cool scent of alcohol on the back of her hand, Lin Qianyuan instinctively turned her head away, not wanting to look in that direction. Liang Siyu was still yelling on the other end of the phone. She frowned and sent him the address.

The stinging pain was fleeting. The nurse adjusted the infusion flow rate and left with a slight smile.

Wu Ma took out the notebook and asked, "Miss, do you need to rest for a while?"

Lin Qianyuan shook his head. It had been so long since he spoke that his voice was a little hoarse and weak. "You can go back now."

Wu Ma was worried and wrote with a pen, "I will be here with you."

Lin Qianyuan is having surgery tonight and needs to fast before the surgery, so she doesn't need to go back to make lunch.

"Where's my sister?" Lin Qianyuan lowered his eyes to look at the words on the paper, then raised his head again, "What about my sister?"

Having almost forgotten it, Wu Ma had to change her words: "I'll go back after you remove the needle."

Lin Qianyuan nodded slightly.

The frosted glass on the ward door reflected a shadowy figure, which stayed there for a long time and did not knock on the door.

Wu Ma was still standing beside Lin Qianyuan's bed, looking over there in surprise. Lin Qianyuan also noticed it and told Wu Ma to open the door.

Uncle Chen, who was outside the door, had just raised his hand when he was startled by the noise. He withdrew his hand awkwardly, his face wrinkled as he smiled so hard that his teeth were visible. "Would it be convenient for me to go in and see Miss Lin?"

Mother Wu looked back at Lin Qianyuan, who nodded slightly. Mother Wu turned sideways and said, "It's convenient."

After saying that, she closed the door and stayed outside.

This was not the first time Uncle Chen had entered this ward. In recent days, he had either come in to deliver fruit or soup.

This time, I came back empty-handed.

Uncle Chen wiped his hands on his clothes, his face showing nervousness. Then he smiled and took something out of his pocket, "Miss Lin."

He handed the item over with both hands, not daring to look her in the eye. But the words he spoke seemed to have been prepared for a long time, without a trace of hesitation. "My family member is a Buddhist. She prayed for this for you at the temple. She said it will bless you with safety."

Lin Qianyuan looked at him silently as he spoke.

Uncle Chen waited for a while but she didn't take it. He couldn't help but look up at her. It seemed that he had imagined this scenario beforehand. He tried to excuse himself, "Oh, I told you that gods and Buddhas don't work. They're just lies. But the one at home just wouldn't listen."

"Ms. Lin, I've always felt that you are much more powerful than gods and Buddhas. Gods and Buddhas are not as scary as you. You must be..."

Realizing what he had said, Uncle Chen closed his mouth and wanted to escape instantly.

It's over, it's over. Miss Lin hasn't spoken for so long. Is she planning to deduct all his salary this month? Or is he about to become homeless?

Uncle Chen regretted so much that he wanted to slap his mouth. He had two pairs of parents to support at home, his wife had a low salary, his daughter was still in junior high school, and the mortgage would take several years to pay off. What should he do?

Uncle Chen's hands began to tremble.

Lin Qianyuan lowered her eyes and took the item from his hand. "Thank you," she said again, holding the red brocade bag tightly and bowing slightly. "Thank you." These two words sounded like heavenly music to Uncle Chen. The heavy stone in his heart fell to the ground, and he politely waved his hand, "You're welcome, thank you."

Lin Qianyuan raised his head and smiled, "The fruit is very fresh, and the soup is delicious."

Uncle Chen had never seen her like this before.

She was smiling at him, not very brightly, a little childishly, which made him feel sad.

Miss Lin has lost weight again. Her face is almost pale, and her hair...

Uncle Chen couldn't control his emotions, turned around, raised his hand and wiped away his tears. He had to call his wife, he was so sad for Miss Lin. Uncle Chen turned back and said goodbye to Lin Qianyuan with a smile.

Lin Qianyuan's full attention was on the red sachet. She didn't notice anything unusual and nodded to indicate that he could leave.

Lin Qianyuan put the book spread on the bed aside, sat up straight, and slowly opened the brocade bag, which contained a peace amulet. He sniffed it carefully and could smell the scent of sandalwood, which was the scent of incense in the temple. It smelled very nice.

Lin Qianyuan put it under her pillow. She had only drawn the curtains but did not close the windows. The spring breeze blew in, along with the magnolia outside the building, bringing with it the warmth of early spring.

When Liang Siyu arrived here, the nurse had just come out after changing the water, so he went in.

Lin Qianyuan was looking at something on his cell phone, so focused that even when he walked to her bed, she still didn't notice him.

Liang Siyu was still harboring resentment in his heart. He sat on the chair with a stern face and looked particularly unhappy. He was determined to wait for her to discover him first.

Wu Ma watched her nose with her eyes, and her heart with her nose, thinking that if Young Master Liang continued like this, the young lady might never notice his presence. She didn't know what Lin Qianyuan was watching, but she guessed it was a TV series, after all, she would occasionally see her smile.

Aunt Wu shook her head and left the ward.

Liang Siyu sat alone for a while, but finally couldn't hold it in any longer and waved his hand in front of Lin Qianyuan twice.

Lin Qianyuan was frightened by him. She glared at him and subconsciously locked her phone.

Liang Siyu hadn't been that curious at first, but after she did that, he suddenly became extremely curious. "What are you looking at?" he asked.

Whether out of guilt or something else, Lin Qianyuan put his phone behind his back and retreated uncontrollably. His eyes wandered, and he spoke in a tone of pretended calmness, "Nothing."

Liang Siyu snorted and didn't want to ask her any more questions because he had something more important to ask!

[Lin Qianyuan, do you still consider me a friend? ]

[You are really too much. You didn't tell me such a big thing? ]

"If I didn't know now, how long would you have kept it from me? Or would you have told me directly, so you could hear it all of a sudden?"

He jumped in front of her one sentence after another, enumerating her crimes, which were simply too numerous to list.

Lin Qianyuan didn't even blink and asked seriously, "Are you a doctor?"

Liang Siyu was stunned by her question, "No."

Lin Qianyuan nodded, then looked over with disgust, "Then why should I tell you?"

"Can you treat patients or perform surgery?"

"..." Liang Siyu was really mad at her.

Although what she said was true, how could someone say such harsh words? He consoled himself by saying that he was a magnanimous person and would not bother with such a petty person like her. [I care about you!]

[I just played the role of caring about you, okay? ]

Lin Qianyuan didn't look at him and raised his hand to chase him away, "Don't you have to go to class?"

Liang Siyu dodged her hand and stayed here, [I asked for leave.]

He changed the subject, "Why are you wearing a hat?"

Lin Qianyuan's face instantly turned cold, but after a few seconds, she returned to her normal self and asked seriously, "Does it look good?"

Liang Siyu had a bad feeling. Facing her gaze, he could only bite the bullet and continue, "Are you asking about the hat or you?"

Lin Qianyuan thought for a few seconds and smiled at him, "All."

Liang Siyu looked at her seriously for a while and said, "They're both good."

The black dress hat was made of a very comfortable material and had a large brim, casting a shadow that covered half of her face. Her already small face now looked even more angular, and her temperament also became more fierce.

She looks great in black.

Lin Qianyuan raised her eyebrows, obviously thinking the same thing. She stated the fact without hesitation, "I have no hair anymore."

Liang Siyu was stunned. [What do you mean?]

Lin Qianyuan glanced at him sideways and explained patiently: "This is a craniotomy, and I need to shave my head."

Liang Siyu heard it, but he didn't want to believe it. He asked repeatedly in a trembling voice, "Did you really shave it?"

He always knew that Lin Qianyuan treasured her hair very much, which was black, shiny, long and straight.

Lin Qianyuan herself accepted it well and leaned back on the bed. "Do you want to confirm?" She stared at him with a dull expression.

Liang Siyu shook his head like a rattle and swore, "That's absolutely not what I meant."

Lin Qianyuan smiled indifferently.

Liang Siyu was still feeling regretful, thinking to himself that it was okay, it would grow back in the future.

The expression on his face was too obvious. Lin Qianyuan glanced over and Liang Siyu immediately turned his head away, touched his stomach, and looked around. "Have you eaten?"

"Fasting, I can't eat."

Liang Siyu looked as if he had suddenly realized something, then he said with a smile: "I didn't bring you breakfast either."

He muttered as he searched for food, "I rushed to your place, and I haven't even eaten yet."

"Why is there only fruit?"

Liang Siyu put down the fruit plate and searched the refrigerator in the ward. He opened the refrigerator door and saw desserts of all kinds.

Liang Siyu was dumbfounded. He quickly walked back and snatched the book from Lin Qianyuan's hand. He typed and asked, "Lin Qianyuan, are you doing wholesale?"

Lin Qianyuan looked in the direction he pointed and said calmly, "Yes."

Liang Siyu swallowed his saliva and said, "Didn't you hate desserts the most before?"

Because I will get fat, and if I get fat, Aunt Song will criticize me.

Lin Qianyuan slowly opened his phone and took back the book, "I like it now."

After she finished speaking, she raised her eyelids slightly, looking casual, but her words were filled with warning, "You are not allowed to touch."

Liang Siyu rolled his eyes, speechless. "I'm starving, so you'd better give me a reasonable reason."

Lin Qianyuan asked him to close the refrigerator door, but Liang Siyu ran to close it unwillingly. When he came back, she gave an excuse, "Someone gave it to me."

Liang Siyu immediately smelled the scent of gossip and dragged a chair to sit down. [Who is it?]

Lin Qianyuan ignored him and speculated on his own, [Pei Lanqing?]

Seeing that she didn't deny it, Liang Siyu smiled mysteriously and said, "Lin Qianyuan, something's wrong with you."

Lin Qianyuan closed the book and listened attentively.

Liang Siyu clicked his tongue twice and looked at her meaningfully.

Lin Qianyuan looked back at him openly.

Unexpectedly, the more she acted like this, the more Liang Siyu became convinced of his guess.

Lin Qianyuan is different from others. The calmer she appears on the surface, the more trouble she has inside. Otherwise, she would definitely be like before, with undisguised interest on her face when she mentioned Pei Lanqing.

Liang Siyu didn't mind testing the waters again, [Do you like him? ]

Lin Qianyuan flatly denied it, "No."

Liang Siyu smiled. If she really didn't have any, she wouldn't have answered his question, thinking it was meaningless. But now that she had answered, the question had meaning.

For his own safety, Liang Siyu could only yield and agree with this answer. He put his phone in his pocket and fed himself a banana with a sad look on his face.

The solution in the infusion bag was about to run out. Lin Qianyuan pressed the bedside bell and the nurse came in quickly to remove the needle.

Lin Qianyuan casually put the book aside, her expression normal, but her heart was becoming increasingly irritated by Liang Siyu's question. She lay down and pulled up the quilt. "I want to rest."

Liang Siyu glanced at the time and said he had to go have lunch.

Lin Qianyuan replied that it was up to him and asked him to tell Wu Ma that she could go back.

Liang Siyu agreed, and before leaving, he closed the window of the ward.

Lin Qianyuan was the only one left in the room. She was not sleepy at all and stared out the window with her eyes open. This was the first floor, and through the thin veil, she could vaguely see the magnolias in the courtyard.

Lin Qianyuan got out of bed and stood by the window for a while. Then she put on her coat, opened the door and walked out of the ward.

The sun was very warm today. Lin Qianyuan's sweater was black and absorbed heat, making her so warm that she couldn't help but want to take a nap.

She sat alone on the bench, her phone vibrating in her sweater pocket. She squinted her eyes and unlocked the screen.

The phone interface still displayed the video screen that she had not closed. It was not a TV series, but a surveillance video playback from the small building.

Lin Qianyuan was unconsciously attracted by the person on the screen. After looking at him a few more times, she finally exited the page.

A shadow fell in front of me, carrying the scent of magnolia, subtle and quiet, making people calm.

The top of the chat list shows: [Aren’t you in the ward? ]

Lin Qianyuan put away his phone and looked up.

The person in the video walked out of the screen and appeared in front of her vividly. Lin Qianyuan was stunned for a moment.

Pei Lanqing stared at her for a few seconds, the surprise in his eyes fleeting. He hid it well and sat down beside her as if nothing had happened. "I didn't buy dessert today, but I brought something else." He placed one hand mysteriously behind his back and typed with one hand, "Do you want to guess what it is?"

Lin Qianyuan came to her senses and frowned, "No." She hated guessing things the most.

Pei Lanqing was stunned for a moment, then couldn't help but smile. His phoenix eyes were now filled with laughter, surpassing the magnolia trees behind him. [It's a flower.]

He handed her the bouquet of white gladioluses in his hand and said, "This suits you very well."

Lin Qianyuan didn't want to take it back, so he crossed his arms in a defensive posture, "It doesn't look good."

She was referring to herself.

Pei Lanqing understood immediately and smiled slightly. "No," he looked directly at the top of her hat, then lowered his gaze slightly to meet hers, without dodging or avoiding it.

【very beautiful. 】

He said so.
