Chapter 51 Chapter 51 She should like him too.

How could Wu Ma have the courage to discuss Lin Qianyuan's private affairs with others? She was still wiping the vase with her hands. She chuckled dryly and said perfunctorily, "I'm not sure about that."

The other nanny obviously didn't believe it. Miss Lin was the most mysterious employer she had ever met. She was not much younger than her, but she seemed to have experienced a lot. She couldn't contain her curiosity and planned to quietly inquire for more information.

Suddenly, a shadow pressed against her ear. Someone was leaning over to talk to her. The voice was calm and peaceful, like the heavy snow outside the window, which made people silent.

"Do you want to know?" Lin Qianyuan asked her with a smile, then slowly stood up and stared at her indifferently.

The nanny was startled by the sudden sound and slowly turned around to check who was standing in front of her. She even stopped breathing unconsciously and lowered her head tightly, not daring to look at the person again. "No."

Lin Qianyuan said nothing and continued to stare at her.

The black and gold skirt in her sight remained motionless, and the nanny suddenly felt overwhelmed. She no longer had the courage to gossip about the person in front of her. A thin layer of sweat broke out on her forehead, and her voice trembled, as if she was about to cry. "I'm sorry, Miss Lin, I'm sorry. I won't dare to talk about you like this again next time."

She kept bowing and apologizing, holding back her tears, "Please give me another chance, give me another chance." Her voice gradually became lower and she didn't dare to raise her head.

Lin Qianyuan deliberately waited for a few seconds, then turned her eyes away as if nothing had happened. "This won't happen again." She walked around her and looked at Wu Ma. "Come upstairs with me."

"Okay," Wu Ma agreed and followed without stopping.

When they reached the second floor, Aunt Wu whispered, "Young Miss, was she frightened by you?"

Lin Qianyuan hummed nonchalantly.

Wu Ma wanted to say something, such as you are not actually that fierce, you can use a different method to warn her, otherwise they will start to stay away from you again, but in a flash, Wu Ma thought that this was also a good idea, and it really solved the problem once and for all.

Lin Qianyuan opened the door of the room and asked her to pack out a few sets of clothes and some personal belongings for him.

Wu Ma nodded in agreement and ventured to guess, "Young Miss, are you going back?"

Lin Qianyuan was twirling his phone in his hand, but suddenly stopped, raised his eyes to look at her, then lowered his head and smiled, his eyebrows curved, "Yeah."

She has a few weeks of New Year's vacation.

Wu Ma understood what she meant and cheerfully went to clean up for her. Halfway through, she asked loudly, "Young Miss, are you going back this afternoon?"

Lin Qianyuan was stunned when he heard this and turned to look at her.

Seeing her so confused, Wu Ma thought to herself, "How anxious!" She suppressed her laughter and reminded him, "Isn't it this afternoon?"

Lin Qianyuan pursed her lips and scratched her hair in frustration, "Tomorrow."

Aunt Wu hid her smile and said nothing more. She returned to the cloakroom while explaining, "Then I won't pack your clothes for tonight."

"Oh," Lin Qianyuan responded sullenly, lowered his head, and his hand unconsciously sent the message that had not been sent successfully just now. It was probably the time when he arrived at the small building.

Lin Qianyuan retracted his hand, only now realizing that it was around four in the morning in China.

As expected, she didn't get a reply. She raised her hand and scratched her hair again, looking at herself in the dressing mirror with some annoyance. After a while, she set off to attend the New Year's party held by her classmates at home.

Lin Qianyuan arrived early, and her classmate's mother opened the door for her enthusiastically. When she saw the gift in her hand, she took it generously and gave her a big hug.

Lin Qianyuan smiled politely and greeted her in English.

The classmate's mother let her go and invited her into the house with a smile.

Lin Qianyuan nodded, brushed off the snowflakes on her skirt, took off her hat and walked into the house.

It was freezing cold outside, but the heating inside was on full blast. Not long after, Lin Qianyuan took off her scarf again, sat alone in the corner of the sofa, and fiddled with her phone with her head down.

The female classmate who had invited them over walked over slowly, dragging the pendant on her leg. She pushed the head attached to her thigh away with all her might and poured a drink with difficulty. "Qianyuan, are you waiting for someone's message?"

Lin Qianyuan suddenly came back to his senses, subconsciously turned off his phone, and smiled at her, "No."

"Oh," the classmate pushed the cup over and suddenly felt his legs loosen. He looked over curiously and saw that his sister was staring at Lin Qianyuan intently.

"Who are you?" The little girl with blond hair and blue eyes tilted her head and asked curiously.

Lin Qianyuan bent down, considerately adjusted to her height, and introduced himself to her.

The little girl nodded and introduced herself. After that, she hugged her sister's thighs again and begged pitifully, "Sister, I also want to wear such a beautiful dress. I also want to be a princess."

Lin Qianyuan looked down at herself when she heard that. When she looked up again, she accidentally met her classmate's gaze. She saw her sigh helplessly, "Before she met you, she just wanted to eat one more ice cream."

Lin Qianyuan couldn't help laughing and spread his hands, indicating that he could do nothing to help.

The classmate held his forehead and tried to deal with it calmly.

A few boys who had just arrived walked over here, giggling, put their arms around each other's shoulders, and casually asked, "What are you talking about?"

The girl began to explain. Lin Qianyuan smiled faintly and listened to their conversation politely. The phone on her lap suddenly vibrated, and she clicked it to check it out belatedly.

It was just a spam message, so Lin Qianyuan chose to delete it listlessly. He read the dialog box over and over again, and finally someone chose to close it.

This skirt has no pockets. Lin Qianyuan put her phone aside and covered her hands with the cup.

The person sitting next to her kept looking at her. She was in a daze. He turned around, smiled, and handed her a piece of chocolate. "Didn't you eat?"

He used Chinese because he and she were the only two Chinese students in the class.

Lin Qianyuan looked at him and didn't answer. "I've eaten."

Jiang Yu was stunned for a moment and did not withdraw his hand.

Lin Qianyuan drank the hot water calmly, not paying attention to his actions.

Jiang Yu smiled, not feeling embarrassed at all. He pointed at his face and signaled her, "But you don't look well."

Lin Qianyuan nodded nonchalantly, put the cup back on the coffee table, looked him straight in the eyes, and said without any emotion: "No, I don't like sweet things."

Jiang Yu's outstretched hand suddenly froze in place. He lowered his head in shock and muttered, "So that's how it is."

The atmosphere suddenly became cold and quiet. The students around looked at each other. Everyone knew that Jiang Yu had some inexplicable feelings for Lin Qianyuan.

After refusing, Lin Qianyuan turned around and noticed that people around her were looking at her frequently. She frowned uncomfortably, feeling both confused and unhappy. She didn't like being scrutinized by others.

"Qianyuan," tonight's host said at the right moment, "Would you like to go with me to install the light strips?"

The girl opened her arms exaggeratedly and said with emotion: "The Christmas tree I bought for Christmas is this big."

"Yeah," Lin Qianyuan didn't want to stay here and be observed by others, so he simply got up and followed her.

The girl held her arm affectionately, and after gradually moving away from the living room, she leaned over and asked softly, "You don't like Jiang Yu?"

"What?"

Lin Qianyuan looked at her, bewildered. "Why should I like him? He has nothing to do with me."

The girl burst out laughing. "That's really sad," she patted her chest and said seriously, "Luckily Jiang Yu isn't here, otherwise it would be so embarrassing."

Lin Qianyuan remained calm and did not respond.

The girl immediately realized something else after she finished speaking, and asked in disbelief: "No way? From the tone of your voice, it seems that you don't know that he likes you? God, we all thought it was obvious."

Lin Qianyuan frowned, looking incredulous, "He likes me?"

The girl couldn't help laughing, and after searching for the intact light strip, she saw that the man was still stunned. She nodded and repeated, "Yes, he likes you."

Lin Qianyuan held the other end of the light strip firmly and said nothing more.

The snow in the capital came earlier this winter than usual. Thick white snow covered the plane trees on campus, and people's voices were foggy even when they spoke.

After Zhang Shurui finished his last exam, he excitedly returned to the dormitory to pack his luggage. He planned to leave school today because he couldn't stay there for another day.

Zhang Shurui pushed open the dormitory door and almost bumped into Pei Lanqing who was about to leave. He stopped in his tracks and looked at him thoughtfully, "Aren't you going home today?"

"Um."

Zhang Shurui saw that he had nothing in his hands and asked directly, "Did she return to China?"

Pei Lanqing didn't react for a moment, "Who?"

Zhang Shurui made a mysterious sound of "tsk tsk" twice, then walked into the dormitory with a chuckle and said slowly, "Are you still trying to hide this from me?"

He glanced at him sideways and said firmly, "I know everything. You must be in love with her."

Zhang Shurui sat down on the chair carelessly and continued, "I've noticed that there's something fishy going on between you two for a long time, I just didn't want to expose you."

He is a good person, he is not stupid.

Pei Lanqing smiled when he heard this and explained it to him slowly and clearly, "She has a name. Her name is Lin Qianyuan."

Zhang Shurui said "oh" and switched the book from his left hand to his right hand, his face serious and stern, "Don't try to change the subject."

Pei Lanqing nodded slightly, thought for a moment, and then said, "I haven't confessed to her yet."

"What?"

The book in Zhang Shurui's hand fell to the floor with a clatter. He didn't even bother to bend down to pick it up. He looked shocked and asked, "You two haven't talked yet?"

Pei Lanqing thought of something, and a smile appeared in his eyes. "Soon," he answered, but a trace of uncertainty remained in his heart. "That should be it."

She should like him too.

Pei Lanqing pointed outside the door and said, "I'm going out first."

"Go, go." Zhang Shurui didn't know what he was going to do. It seemed to be related to Lin Qianyuan. He shook his head and turned to pack his luggage.

Pei Lanqing walked out of the school gate and walked on the snow to the door of the flower shop. He put away his umbrella, placed it beside the door, pushed open the glass door and entered the store.

The wind chimes hanging above the door made a soft sound. Pei Lanqing looked up and recalled the string of chimes in the attic of the small building. He lowered his head and smiled with tenderness.

The clerk approached him and asked politely, "What flowers would you like to buy, sir?"

"Whitewood."

A hint of surprise crossed the clerk's face. Few people would actively ask to buy these flowers; most were recommended. Furthermore, winter isn't the typical blooming time for osmanthus. She put away her surprise and replied with a smile, "We have them in our store."

The clerk led him to where the white wood incense was placed and asked, "Are you planning to give it to your girlfriend?"

Osmanthus fragrans can be given to people of different identities. The flower language is appropriate. When it comes to love, it means pure first love, or loving only one person in a lifetime.

Pei Lanqing pursed her lips and corrected her embarrassedly, "Not yet."

The clerk understood the meaning behind his words and offered a friendly blessing, "I wish you a successful confession."

Pei Lanqing bowed slightly and smiled, "Thank you."

He set the time to pick up the flowers for tomorrow. After leaving his contact information at the front desk as requested, Pei Lanqing pushed the door and left.

I don't know when the snow outside stopped, leaving only a vast expanse of white, and the world was in a state of quiet and silence.

Pei Lanqing glanced at the time. It was already noon. He started to calculate in his mind and realized that it was almost dawn over at Lin Qianyuan's place. Remembering that she said she was going to a party in the evening, he picked up his umbrella and called her while walking back to school.

He wondered if she had gotten home safely by now.

The phone continued to ring for a long time, but no one answered. Pei Lanqing frowned slightly and dialed the second number, but still no one answered.

It wasn't her bedtime, and the only time she wouldn't answer the phone was when she was painting.

Pei Lanqing couldn't convince himself to calm down, and he couldn't let go of his heart, so he stopped where he was and dialed the third number with a trembling hand. Fortunately, this time he finally heard the connection sound, and Pei Lanqing's frown relaxed slightly, "Lin..."

"Pei Lanqing?"

This is an unfamiliar male voice.

Pei Lanqing swallowed back all the words he was about to say because of this sound. The cold wind pierced through his throat wantonly, making his throat dry. Before he could speak again, he heard the person opposite him introduce himself to him, "I'm Lin Qianyuan's friend."

"Do you have something to do with her?"

Jiang Yu didn't hear a reply from the other end of the phone for a long time. He took the phone away and saw that it was indeed on a call. He frowned and brought it closer. "What do you want to talk to Lin Qianyuan about?"

"She's in the room now. If you don't mind, I can tell her for you."

The tone of his voice was natural and familiar, just like the way he answered the phone, as if he had a very close relationship with her. The background of the phone was mixed with loud music and noisy voices. Maybe she was having a lot of fun now. She had told him that there were times when she felt comfortable.

Pei Lanqing lowered his head slightly and replied, "No need."

He hung up the phone.
