He stared at Meng Youning with anger and was about to speak.
Meng Youning looked at Qi Ran with concern and spoke carefully, "My Lord, are you okay? Youning didn't mean it..."
Her voice rose slightly at the end.
Qi Ran wanted to curse, but he immediately took it back and said dryly, "Be more careful next time."
"Boom..."
A flash of white light flashed outside the house, illuminating the entire darkness for a moment.
Immediately afterwards, a thunderous roar that resounded through the sky suddenly rang out, shocking Qi Ran so much that he jumped directly onto the bed without thinking and curled up into a ball.
He stared at Meng Youning without blinking.
Meng Youning was speechless. A grown man was actually afraid of thunder.
Her expression remained expressionless, and she asked with concern, "My Lord, are you okay?"
As she said this, she wanted to get off the bed directly while holding up her clothes, but Qi Ran stopped her in time.
"Hey, hey, hey, don't move. Let's sleep here together. I don't mind."
Meng Youning: Is this a question you mind?
The corners of her mouth slowly pulled up a smile, and she looked at Qi Ran with a charming smile, "But it was the prince himself who said that You Ning should stay away from you."
Meng Youning said this while pointing at Qi Ran standing beside her.
Qi Ran silently moved his head aside and lay down. "It's okay. This prince doesn't mind. Why are you still complaining?"
As soon as he finished speaking, he pulled the quilt towards himself, as if he felt it was not warm enough. He then pinched a corner of Meng Youning's quilt and quietly pulled it towards himself.
Qi Ran was not much taller than her. As he kept pulling the quilt up, her feet were naturally exposed.
She unconsciously put her feet together and rubbed them against each other, looking pitiful and helpless.
At this moment, thunder was heard outside the house again. Qi Ran closed his eyes tightly and his body trembled slightly.
Meng Youning lowered her eyes slightly and could clearly feel Qi Ran shaking under the quilt.
Are you so scared?
Meng Youning pinched a corner of the quilt and silently pulled it towards herself, while moving her whole body upwards.
