"This... this looks very unique."
Yin Yue forced herself to force a smile, trying to ease the extremely awkward atmosphere, but that smile was uglier than crying, and it hung stiffly on her face, looking very forced.
But his heart was screaming madly.
"This is not a bento, it's simply a dark dish! Taoi Satsuki's bento is indeed as good as its reputation says."
Yin Yue began to have the urge to back out. He really wanted to just cover the lunch box and then make up an excuse, like he suddenly had a stomachache or something urgent to deal with, and quickly slip away, away from this horrible lunch box and escape from the impending "taste nightmare".
However, Taoi Satsuki's expectant gaze was like an invisible, indestructible shackle that locked him tightly and made him unable to move at all.
He knew that if he rejected her mercilessly, Taoi Satsuki's heart, which was full of passion and love, would be greatly hurt, and that was the last thing he wanted to see.
It should be okay to eat a little, maybe it's not as bad as it looks.
Yin Yue comforted herself in her heart. Although she felt that her words were unconvincing, she still held on to a glimmer of hope, hoping that a miracle would happen and that the taste of the bento might not be as terrible as it looked.
Yin Yue comforted herself over and over again in her heart. Her conflicted and helpless look made people feel both funny and distressed.
He hesitated again and again, as if there were two little people in his heart constantly pulling and fighting with each other. One was shouting at him to give up quickly and save his life, while the other was reminding him not to hurt Taoi Satsuki's heart.
Finally, after this difficult psychological struggle, he gritted his teeth and picked up the chopsticks with trembling hands. His hands were like leaves in the autumn wind, shaking uncontrollably, as if he was holding not a pair of chopsticks, but some kind of terrifying "weapon".
When the people from the surrounding Generation of Miracles saw this scene, they couldn't hold back their curiosity and gathered around, surrounding Yin Yue in the middle, forming a small encirclement.
Their eyes were full of curiosity and nervousness. They all stretched their necks with their eyes wide open, as if they were waiting for a suspenseful drama whose answer was about to be revealed. No one wanted to miss this crucial moment.
Qingfeng had a sly smile on his face, with the corners of his mouth slightly raised, outlining a cunning arc, and his eyes flashed with malicious light, as if he couldn't wait to see Yin Yue make a fool of herself.
Akashi Seijuro looked at Gin Yue with anticipation and curiosity.
There was a different kind of light flickering in his eyes, as deep as a dark pool, as if he was trying to see through Yin Yue's reaction.
The others were almost the same, some frowned slightly, some pursed their lips, all of them were concentrating on waiting for the result of Yin Yue eating the lunch box.
The atmosphere of the whole scene was so tense that one could almost hear everyone's pounding heartbeats.
Yin Yue gritted her teeth and picked up a piece of something that looked like meat. The thing was trembling slightly between the chopsticks, as if it had life, and seemed to be begging Yin Yue.
But Yin Yue was in a dilemma at this point and could only slowly put the food into her mouth and then take a gentle bite.
The moment the food touched Yin Yue's tongue, an indescribable, extremely strange and strong taste exploded in his mouth like a bomb explosion, instantly filling his entire mouth.
The taste was like a mixture of burnt rubber, expired and rancid seasonings, and some unknown substance with a pungent chemical smell. It was bitter and astringent, with a pungent burnt smell that could not be dispelled. Each smell was attacking his taste buds wantonly, as if to completely destroy his taste system.
Yin Yue's face turned pale in an instant, without a trace of blood. Her originally rosy face was now like a piece of white paper, revealing a heart-wrenching paleness.
His eyes were wide open, filled with fear and pain, as if telling us that he was suffering great torture at the moment, as if he was trapped in a nightmare that he could not escape.
What does this smell like?!
Yin Yue was screaming wildly in his heart. His only thought at this moment was to quickly spit out the horrible food in his mouth and escape from this "taste hell".
However, when he thought of Taoi Satsuki's expectant eyes and her happy look as she prepared the lunch box, he really couldn't bear to do it. He was afraid that saying it bluntly like this would deeply hurt her feelings.
So, he suppressed the overwhelming nausea and chewed a few times with great effort and difficulty. Each chew seemed to use up all his strength, and his brows were tightly furrowed in pain.
He tried to swallow the food, thinking that if he did, he might be able to give an explanation to Taoi Satsuki.
However, the smell was so strong that it was like a ferocious beast, moving all the way down Yin Yue's throat. Wherever it went, it seemed to ignite a raging fire, burning his esophagus and stomach wantonly. He felt as if his insides were about to be "corroded" by this horrible smell.
Yin Yue only felt a violent spasm in his stomach, as if a pair of invisible hands were twisting his stomach fiercely. A strong urge to vomit surged into his heart like a surging tide. The feeling became stronger and stronger and more and more difficult to suppress, causing him to fall into extreme pain.
His body began to tremble violently and uncontrollably, and beads of sweat the size of beans instantly appeared on his forehead. The sweat beads rolled down from his forehead one after another, ran across his cheeks, and dripped onto the ground, as if they were also "crying" for his pain at the moment.
