Chapter 48 Preparing to go out and participate...
"How was it? How was it?"
Enid peeked out of the room and slowly walked out. She was wearing A.R.T.'s previous work, "Killing Yourself in Despair Without Connections." She and Damian got into the comics because of this one. It's an amazing story about fighting between real life and a fantasy world. In the comic, the ending is that the female protagonist dies by her own hand.
The most ingenious thing is that the female lead also has white hair. Enid had originally told Damian that she wanted a wig, but she didn't actually buy one. Just like she didn't plan to go to university at first, because she didn't know that her life would have a sequel, but now it does.
Bruce had a custom-made dress that was a perfect replica of the one in the comics, with every detail being flawless. Initially, everyone said they were going to make it themselves, but in the end, no one could finish it, so Bruce had it custom-made. The original plan was for the sisters to huddle together and sew the cosplay outfits, just like they used to sew uniforms together.
"Very accurate." Barbara smiled and praised Enid's outfit, then beckoned her to sit down, "Don't move, I'll do your makeup."
“Yay! Speaking of which, I haven’t seen Father yet. Is he alright?” Enid blinked, looking incredibly expectant. Barbara couldn’t help but laugh out loud at the thought of Bruce. “Looks like the hero is about to make his grand entrance. Okay, don’t move, Fia.”
Enid couldn't help but laugh because her cheek was slightly itchy from the makeup brush. Luckily, Barbara stopped quickly, or she would have made a mistake. Enid stuck out her tongue sheepishly, indicating that she would definitely not move again. However, she soon wanted to break her vow because she saw Cassandra and Stephanie!
"Ah!" She had barely opened her mouth when she met Barbara's helpless gaze, so she immediately shut up, but kept giving Cassandra and Stephanie thumbs-up and praising them with her eyes, saying how beautiful they were.
"Alright, you can start praising them now, but don't repeat the same words when you praise me later." Barbara stopped drawing; she had just finished and would go change her clothes later. She took the opportunity to joke with Enid, whose eyes widened. Enid then pretended to beg for forgiveness: "Ah! Barbara, my dear sister, I only have a high school diploma! Please forgive me!"
“Barbara is your good sister, so what about me?” Stephanie suddenly leaned over, and Enid was suddenly caught in a dilemma. Suddenly, a brilliant idea struck her, and she hugged them both. “Hehehe, Barbara and Stephanie are both my best sisters, and Cassandra is my best sister.”
Barbara wiped the lipstick off her face with a bit of annoyance, and then gestured to Stephanie's side profile, where there was also lipstick. Enid pretended to be innocent and didn't see anything, but she soon noticed Damian's disdainful expression.
“Of course!” she raised her hand. “Our Damian is the best little brother, Tim is too, and Dick and Jay are my best older brothers! Bruce is the best father, and Alfred is Alfred the best! Ciron is the best fawn, Aura is the best unicorn, Naya is the best cat, and yes, our Alfred is the best cat, and Selder is the best wolf! Titus and Ace are the best dogs!”
Enid counted on her fingers and went through everyone in the family one by one, but when she said that Bruce was the best father, Bruce and Alfred had just come out and overheard her. Bruce couldn't help but curl the corners of his mouth slightly.
"Wow!! As expected of my father!" Enid happened to hear the voice, turned around and saw her father walking out in a cosplay outfit, looking like he had stepped out of a comic book. He was a majestic yet loving king. Enid smiled and her eyebrows curved, and she respectfully gave Bruce a courtly salute.
"Your Majesty."
"Ahem, no need for formalities."
Bruce reluctantly played along with the girl's game. Enid stood up with a grin, and then Naya jumped out, stood on the highest point and meowed, as if she had something important to say. But after she finished meowing, Alfred the cat seemed to disagree and jumped up as well.
"Pfft..." Enid couldn't help but laugh. "I won't translate it! Because it's the kind of thing you can't say if you translate it, the kind of thing that would probably be completely censored."
"TT, Alfred is the strongest cat."
Enid thought for a moment and decided to concede, since the two cats had already started arguing. "Well, it's better for the cats to decide things, but Damian is definitely better than me." Enid looked at Damian very seriously, while Damian remained silent, not saying a word, but seemed to be blushing a little, though his darker skin tone made it hard to tell.
Taking advantage of this break, Barbara changed her clothes and came out. Enid's eyes lit up and she gave her a thumbs up!
“They’re all amazing, they’re all so beautiful! It’s a pity I only have a high school diploma so I can’t really compliment them—” Enid joked with a smile. The others found it amusing, and Tim couldn’t help but laugh as well. “But if you pass your entrance exam, I bet you’ll have a university degree soon, unless your school system is German.”
Upon hearing this, Enid suddenly fell silent, then quickly nodded.
"You guessed right, Tim. Actually, the witch course is super difficult, so the study system is about 7 years. But, well, it's a bit difficult because there are practical courses in university that you have to pass. But luckily, you can ask for help! Although you can't ask for help repeatedly, luckily we have a lot of family members! There are a total of 7 exams, which is just right."
Although he had a general understanding of Enid's university, he was still a little uneasy about the school after the teaching assistant incident before he left. After learning more about it, it seemed that the previously agreed-upon plan to send her to school would have to be brought forward. However, he remembered that Enid and Damian had agreed to have an entrance exam.
"When are your and Damian's entrance exams?"
“Well, probably in a while,” Enid paused, then smiled brightly. “Don’t worry, there won’t be any problems with the teaching assistant coming this time, because he’s my high school principal. The last time was a bit of an accident, but they said they’ve resolved it.”
“I’ll be careful.” Damian suddenly spoke up when Enid hesitated about how to explain. He was clearly indicating that he would keep an eye on those guys, because the first exam was between him and Enid, and Damian felt that he couldn’t rely on Enid for this kind of thing. That girl saw everyone as a good person and was completely useless.
"Okay, then I'll leave it to Damian—"
"Bring the miniature camera with you then, we'll keep an eye on you. Can you bring any other people with you?"
Barbara was also slightly worried, but Enid shook her head. It seemed only she and Damian could go. However, having Damian with her made her feel a little more at ease than having Enid alone. "It's okay, I'll bring this. Don't worry, I'll definitely be back. I won't break my promise this time!"
Hearing her promise, everyone's eyes softened, and they stopped mentioning the matter. Instead, they urged the rest of them to finish their makeup and get ready to leave. Enid was still pestering Damian to teach her how to use a sword. Although Damian was disdainful, he still gave her some pointers and complained that Enid had completely forgotten her previous lessons, and that her passing grade was extremely low.
"Ah! Absolutely not!"
Completely forgetting about the exam, her progress so far has only been with Barbara and Tim, so she looked at the two of them pitifully.
"I'm not going to take back my pass for now, don't worry." Barbara smiled and ruffled her hair. But Tim was much more mischievous. He thought for a moment and said, "I think you need to take another test. If you pass, I won't take it back." This test seemed really difficult. Could Tim be regretting giving her a pass?
At that moment, Dick received the pleading look in Enid's beautiful eyes. Dick's heart softened, and he was about to speak when he saw Tim's signal. In the end, he only agreed halfway.
"Don't look at me like that, Fia, you know me... okay... I'll tutor you?"

Author's Note: Wasn't this a super family-friendly and happy episode! There won't be many more dark sides in the school.
However, there will be some follow-up events involving the Storm's Sons at the school, but it will be resolved quickly without any violence, since they are just remnants and no match for the enemy.
