Chapter 67 Crisis? Red Robin strikes, De...

"Lyra, where is Red Robin now?"

Enid's expression suddenly turned extremely serious. Lyra flew through the skies above Gotham like an invisible shadow, moving without a care in the world, oblivious to everyone around her. In her haste, she forgot that Tim still had the teleportation crystal that Enid had given him.

Sure enough, the next second a phantom rippled through the air, and Tim suddenly appeared behind Enid and Barbara. Apart from a little dirt on the hem of his cloak and a barely perceptible smell of blood, he seemed perfectly normal and walked over easily.

"The teleportation array works very well," Tim said in a relaxed tone. "I've sent you the coordinates."

Barbara nodded and made a detailed annotation of the coordinates Tim sent. After Enid looked at the coordinates, she converted the detailed location into location information that Lyra could understand, so that he could conduct a detailed investigation of that place. Barbara also mobilized the monitoring equipment to start real-time monitoring of that place.

"Tell me about that place?" Barbara's tone was somewhat serious.

"The magnetic field inside is obviously fluctuating abnormally, which has been confirmed. There are no signal jamming devices and no hidden entrance. The missing persons have not been found."

Tim was a little anxious about this. When Chief Gordon contacted him, he explained that the person had been missing for about 30 hours when the police discovered the situation. Tim had also conducted a very careful and detailed investigation when he located the location based on all the missing persons information, and had even used a vital signs detection device to confirm it.

The 12 missing Gotham citizens were all inside, but there was nothing there. Tim only went in because he was concerned about Enid's teleportation device.

“That’s strange…” Enid was also puzzled when she heard Tim say that, but she quickly affirmed, “But Tim, you must know something, right?”

She believed that Tim was not someone who spoke without reason. Tim raised an eyebrow slightly, not expecting Enid to trust him so much. However, she was clearly right. Although the location of the hidden entrance was not confirmed, Tim did have a clue.

“Of course, so you’ll need to come with me this time, Druid.”

By this time, the others had almost finished and were on their way back. Bruce heard their entire conversation through his headset. From Tim's reaction, he already knew that there was probably some magical element involved. So he didn't say anything to stop them, but instead acquiesced.

"Okay! Shall we set off now?"

"Yes, they couldn't wait any longer."

Tim didn't think they would provide food and water to the hostages, because when he found the location, he had already figured out the kidnappers' general purpose and the methods they would use, so it was clear they were pressed for time. Of course, he wasn't risking going in; he needed to go inside to verify the authenticity of another clue, and he proved to be right.

“Very good, Druid, you and Red Robin can set off now. Here are some simple nutritional supplements, please keep them safe. I'll be here.”

"Okay, please, Oracle, and one penny."

Enid blinked, and as she stood up, the aura around her clothes gradually dissipated, revealing a uniform with the same exquisite rune embroidery as her previous gorgeous dress. It was a simpler cloak and skirt, but with special rune devices that would not damage or impede movement, making it a combat uniform suitable even for appropriate combat.

She wore a blue domino mask, a blue mask she'd swiped from Nightwing, which perfectly matched her blue and green uniform. A blue water sphere floated in mid-air, like a starry sky slowly drifting within it. Enid slowly expanded the aura and glanced at Tim.

Tim stepped into the area enveloped by the halo. Unlike the last time they teleported together, this time the dizziness was completely gone. It felt more like taking an elevator. It seemed she had improved a lot.

“It looks like ‘Apparition’ has turned into an elevator.”

“Thank you for the compliment,” Enid said with a hint of pride, but she quickly composed herself. Her gaze lingered on the dilapidated house. “Hmm, there’s definitely a trace of storm magic in there. Looks like they found something left behind by some guy.”

"Indeed, will the contents of the book be returned to you?"

"Okay, you can keep one copy for me to make a rubbing. I'll look for others here later. It looks like he left a lot of trouble here. We'll be busy."

The books were currently stored in the personal space Enid had given him, but there hadn't been time to chat about them earlier; they'd have to deal with that later and read them when they got back. Completely unconcerned about the books, Enid stopped thinking about them and instead took out the crystals Bruce had prepared for her. These were various colored crystals, which Enid had refined with magic to create an excellent medium.

"Take this and place it in these spots. We'll put it down at the same time after one minute."

"no problem."

Enid gave Tim three green crystals and three locations some distance away from him. She had already figured out the general layout of the place, thanks to Lyra. She could do it herself, but it would be too much trouble. However, placing these three points simultaneously shouldn't be a problem for Tim.

Of course, it was only three points, which was easy. Tim caught the crystals and found a very clever spot. The clocks on the two of their devices were already set to be accurate, so in the very next second as the countdown reached 0, all the crystals fell to the ground simultaneously, without the slightest error.

The next second, the glass shattered.

She turned to the side and cast a defensive spell on herself and Tim, then hid in a corner. Tim easily vaulted over. The rats that could only hide in the shadows seemed to be trying to attack from behind, but Tim must have eyes in the back of his head, dodging all the attacks. Occasionally, when there were too many of them to dodge, they missed under Enid's defensive magic.

Everyone was thoroughly knocked unconscious and tied up by Tim, and it looked extremely easy for him.

"Very good, well done." Tim thought Enid had definitely passed the test this time. She should have stayed in the corner, since close combat was still too difficult for her. This was just right for her. "Go check on them first."

She nodded, suppressing the slight smugness she felt after being praised, but her light footsteps couldn't be concealed. She had Naya jump out of her shadow, watching the group of kidnappers, and then followed Tim, watching him find all the mechanisms and hidden rooms with ease, as if he were returning home, and find the group of ordinary people who were almost on the verge of death.

The next moment, Enid quickly took out nutritional supplements, and she and Tim each took charge of one side, injecting the supplements into everyone to strengthen their almost weakened bodies. After confirming that everyone's vital signs were normal, the people from the police station seemed to be arriving soon.

"When did you notify me?!"

"Just now," Tim said, already quite adept at it, "how was the magic of those guys?"

Hearing this, Enid showed a little surprise, "They don't have any magical talent, so I don't know how they did it. But it's strange that they look a bit weak. If I'm not mistaken, it might be some kind of sacrifice, but I can't be sure of their purpose. But they won't be able to use magic in the future."

Having received a definite answer from Enid, Tim was relieved. As for the purpose, don't worry, he already knew everything. Seeing Tim nod slightly, Enid didn't intend to say anything. Instead, after they returned to the Batcave—this time via teleportation, of course—Naya was held in Enid's arms.

"The operation looks to be going well. You did a good job this time, Fia."

As soon as she got home, she was greeted by Barbara's smiling praise. Enid couldn't help but smile and couldn't resist hugging Naya and giving Barbara a kiss on the cheek. Naya struggled and jumped out.

"I can't help it, I'm very happy, it's my first time going out on a mission."

“Miss Barbara is right, Miss Fia, you did a great job, and of course, Master Tim as well.”

After smiling, Afu poured a glass of water for Enid and Tim, praising them one by one. Tim smiled, clearly pleased. After taking a sip, he noticed the sudden sparkle in Enid's eyes and realized that she wanted to know what had happened.

"The money, in the notes they found, contained methods for generating large amounts of currency."

“Okay…” Enid was silent for a moment, then the next second she found some information about the Storm Child magic, copied the general contents of the book with magic and put it on the table, “I don’t have much information here, but I know where to find it.”

Upon hearing Enid's words, Tim thought for a moment and then roughly knew where it was.

"Which school is it in?"

“Yes… If I’m not mistaken, my mother enrolled me in school to reclaim what was hidden within the school—a portion of the magical heritage I was supposed to learn. This was something that the Mother Goddess had once bestowed upon the Archdruid.”

Long before Damian and Enid participated in the first copy of the entrance exam, they had lost their most basic trust in the school, and from now on, that trust has been greatly diminished once again.

"Great, it looks like we need to prepare in advance."

"Prepare?"

Enid paused for a moment, not realizing what she was supposed to be preparing, when Damian's voice suddenly rang out from behind her, "TT, of course we're going to get our own stuff back, and I'm going with you." He was definitely going to get involved, but clearly Bruce was the first to stop him.

"No, we need to confirm the specific information first before assigning specific group members. We can't rush it."

“That’s right, Bruce is right. We need to prepare for enrollment first.” Barbara agreed with Bruce. “But now that we’re getting information about the Storm Child, can Lyra sense the notes he left behind or anything like that?”

Upon hearing Barbara's words, Enid estimated the amount of magic needed, shook her head, but quickly nodded again to indicate that she could manage.

"It's a bit of a stretch. I can manage to support Lyra's magic with all my might, but because it's so weak, it consumes too much energy."

"no."

Bruce rejected it, and Barbara also showed her disapproval. The others who returned home one after another also disagreed with Enid's decision after hearing it. Excessively consuming Enid's magic power was not a good suggestion for them. However, Dick thought about it and, of course, he didn't agree, but thought there might be another way. He spoke first.

"Perhaps your alchemy can help you?"

"Shall I give it a try?" Enid paused mid-sentence, then noticed Alfred's smiling face and Tim's schedule. She stammered, "Of course, I won't leave myself in the alchemy lab, I promise!"
