Chapter 46: Little Dumbass

Lu Chunshu had already climbed onto the oxcart and waved to her from his seat, "Aunt, come here. My brother has saved a seat for you."

After saying that, he opened up the seat next to him and showed her. It was on the roof of the ox cart and looked like a good spot.

Jiang Wanwan was still a little hesitant, not knowing where to climb up. A pair of big hands pinched her armpits. Before she could scream, Lu Xiao put her up like a child.

Even though Jiang Wanwan was thick-skinned, she felt a little embarrassed. She looked around in panic and found that everyone was in a hurry to go home. Except for a few people on the ox cart, no one paid attention to them.

Lu Chunshu covered his mouth and looked at her with a sly smile. After Lu Xiao rubbed his head, Lu Chunsheng pursed his lips uncomfortably.

Why is there such a big difference in the personalities between these two children?

"If you laugh again, your aunt will be angry," Jiang Wanwan pinched his nose, "Are you hungry?"

Lu Chunshu shook his head and took out a piece of candy to show her, "I still have a piece of candy that my aunt gave me this afternoon."

"Are you full with sugar? Here are some for you," Jiang Wanwan took out a handful of boiled chestnuts from her bag.

"Yeah, it's chestnuts."

Lu Chunshu didn't know how to be polite. In his opinion, his aunt and uncle were family members just like his grandmother. He picked up the chestnuts and started eating them, and even invited Lu Chunsheng to eat with them.

Lu Chunsheng seemed much more reserved. He didn't even reach out for the chestnuts even when they were handed to him. Finally, he pursed his lips and said, "Aunt, I'm not hungry. You can keep these chestnuts for yourself and your uncle."

Jiang Wanwan raised her eyebrows and asked him deliberately, "Why did you save it for me and your uncle? Look, Haruki has eaten it all."

Lu Chunsheng glanced at his brother and pursed his lips again. This time he didn't explain anything more.

My younger brother is still young and doesn’t understand adult matters, but he heard everything that day. Mom said that grandma gave all the good things to my uncle and aunt, and said that my aunt’s good things should be taken out for everyone to eat. Grandma was even angry.

In fact, he felt that his mother was wrong. He had never seen any good things at home since he was a child, but his aunt had so many good things, including delicious meals, candies, and chestnuts.

He heard that all the good things of his aunt were given to her by her family, and his mother should not have wanted his aunt's things, just like his mother should not have wanted his uncle's room.

Although he didn't say anything, Jiang Wanwan could feel that this child was very smart and understood everything, and she felt even more sorry for him.

She took his little hand and put a whole handful of chestnuts into his palm, "Just eat what your aunt gives you. If you don't believe me, ask your uncle if you can eat what your aunt gives you."

Lu Xiao was driving the ox cart nearby and heard what the two of them said. He turned around and said, "Eat."

Two simple words, but his gaze finally fell on Jiang Wanwan, and a faint smile appeared at the corner of his lips.
