Chapter 32 Action 2

From the outside, it looked like Zhang Xudong had entered the tent, but there was no trace of Zhang Xudong inside the tent.

Zhang Xudong tore the tent apart, and the moment his head got into the tent, he sneaked into the space. This was the plan Zhang Xudong had already made when he found that the cave entrance was blocked by the tent.

Without this life-saving artifact, Zhang Xudong would have disappeared long ago, so how could he have said those righteous words! He didn't care about his life, and the thief was afraid of death.

Zhang Xudong calmed down in the space and saw that there was indeed a hole in the mountain wall behind the tent. The hole was not big, about one meter wide and more than one person tall.

Outside the cave entrance stood two Japanese men, one far away and one close together. They were the same two guys who had appeared yesterday afternoon. The fatter of the two was holding a Type 99 light machine gun.

Another skinny guy stood near the cave entrance, a black iron thing at his feet that looked like a hand-operated detonator. It seemed there really was dynamite in the cave, the kind that could go off at any moment.

The two guys were looking up at the hole that suddenly appeared on the tent above their heads, chattering something with puzzled expressions on their faces.

Suddenly, gunshots rang out outside, and the two men came to their senses. The fat man was about to go outside the tent with his Type 99 rifle, while the skinny guy squatted down to touch the detonator.

Zhang Xudong didn't dare delay and emerged from the space. He slashed the fat man's neck as he stared at him in disbelief. Then he plunged the knife into the skinny man's heart, who was still stunned.

For a doctor who has been on the operating table, it is impossible for him to be afraid of blood. So Zhang, who had just killed two people, picked up the Type 99 rifle without changing his expression and looked at the detonator.

Zhang Xudong thought for a moment, thinking he didn't know how to dismantle the detonator, and he might end up blowing it up. So he picked up the detonator and went into the cave. He had to see if anyone else was inside.

Fortunately, the cave wasn't too big, and after a quick search, no one was found inside. Zhang Xudong finally relaxed. He didn't have to worry about the work outside, and he just had to make sure the cave was okay.

Zhang Xudong stood at the entrance of the cave and looked around. The cave should have been naturally formed and was about the size of five rooms.

There were about a dozen boxes with skulls painted on them stacked against the wall next to the cave entrance. Two wires were pulled out of one of the boxes and connected to the detonator in his hand.

These boxes should be full of explosives. This thing is too dangerous. I dare not leave it in space. If it explodes in space, I am not sure where I will be sent to. It is better to be cautious.

Holding the detonator in my hand, I was wondering how it worked. Suddenly, the entire structure of the detonator appeared clearly in my mind, including the size and function of each component.

It turned out that this thing was powered by two batteries, and when the handle was pressed, it would explode. That was easy, I just ripped the two wires and threw the detonator out of the hole. It was quite heavy to hold.

This is even more okay. I glanced at the Type 99 rifle in my hand and thought about how this thing was once so popular. The structure of the Type 99 rifle appeared in my mind, and the size and principle of each part were clearly seen.

Hey, this is interesting. I tried putting my hand on the box of explosives and could "see" the yellow powder inside.

Change the box, there is a big turtle shell inside.

Change to another box, it’s bullets.

This box contains gold bars, which belong to the country and cannot be touched.

This box contains silver dollars, so don't touch them. This box contains canned beef, but it's expired, so don't move it.

This box contains porcelain. If you put it away, it will be smashed in a few years.

Zhang Xudong was exploring the space for treasures and familiarizing himself with his new abilities. He was also wondering, if he shook someone's hand, could he tell if they had worms?

Zhang Xudong went through all the boxes in the cave and found ten boxes of tortoise shells, five Type 99 rifles, fifty tortoise shells, ten boxes of watermelon grenades, five boxes of gold bars, and ten boxes of ingots.

Of these things, Zhang Xudong only secretly kept three large tortoise shells and five tortoise boxes. He embezzled two of the twenty boxes of ammunition and stole one box of watermelon grenades. He gave himself the excuse that these were souvenirs. Yes, just souvenirs.

The rest of the gold and silver were left untouched, but the six boxes of antique calligraphy and paintings that were found were all put away, under the pretext of protection.

Zhang Xudong discovered that the most common items in the cave were canned goods and sake. There were also fifty bags of flour and rice, but they had all turned to dust.

As Zhang Xudong searched for souvenirs inside the cave, the gunfire outside gradually subsided. It looked like the battle was about to end, so Zhang Xudong hurried toward the cave entrance. "There's a cave full of gold and silver in a melon field, under a plum tree. I should be more cautious. I'm a good comrade after all."

Zhang Xudong had been standing at the door for only a few minutes when Captain He called out, "Zhang Xudong, Zhang Xudong, are you alive? If you are, please let me know."

Zhang Xudong was slandering me in his heart! You are the rat, your whole family are rats! But he had to answer honestly: "Captain He, I am living well, so don't worry about me."

Several footsteps were heard outside the tent, followed by Captain He's loud voice:

"I care about you, but you don't appreciate it. I'm afraid you'll be reported as a martyr. You're so handsome, I want to find a partner for my daughter." As he spoke, Captain He walked into the tent with Platoon Leader Chen and several soldiers.

Zhang Xudong looked Captain He up and down, curled his lips, and looked disdainful.

"Hey, what's with that look in your eyes? My girl is so pretty! He Jingxian, a sophomore at the County No. 1 Middle School, is the school belle. Ask around and everyone knows her."

"Hey, her. I was wondering why she was such a hottie. Turns out she's your daughter. She's neither quiet nor idle. She's restless all day long and has been staying with you for half a year." Zhang Xudong muttered.

"What, you know him? What did you mean by what you just said? Say it to me again, kid?" Captain He raised his big hand and slapped Zhang Xudong on the head.

Zhang Xudong quickly jumped away: "Company commander, there are twenty boxes of explosives here. If you blow them up with a slap, we will all be killed in a homemade plane."

"Damn it, you made me so angry that I forgot about the important things."

Captain He looked at the two bodies on the ground and said:

"You're quite skilled, and you did a neat job. What's going on inside?"

"When I jumped in, the fat guy was about to rush out with his crooked-handled rifle, but I cut his neck with it.

This skinny guy was trying to bend down to fix this thing, so I swung the knife at him. Who knew it would go right into his heart and he died instantly. What an unlucky guy!

Zhang Xudong kicked the detonator at his feet and said.

Several people looked at Zhang Xudong speechlessly. He made such a tense matter seem like playing house.

"Zhang Xudong, can you please try to speak human language? If you speak human language, will I treat you as a human being?"
