Time flies, and summer vacation is just around the corner. Li Baolong bids farewell to the campus, his teachers and friends, and ends his freshman year. He steps out of the school gate with mixed feelings. He already has plans in mind, intending to visit his uncle's family in Jianzhou City, and deep in his heart, the image of the girl named Jiang Xiaomei keeps surfacing.
That afternoon, he arrived safely at his cousin's house in Jianzhou. His cousin's family warmly welcomed him, and their deep affection made him feel a long-lost warmth in this unfamiliar city. After having dinner with his cousin's family, Li Baolong lied and said he was going to a classmate's house, then hurriedly left his cousin's house. His steps involuntarily led him towards Jiang Xiaomei's hair salon.
Even before entering the shop, one could see it was bustling with people, business was booming. Li Baolong sighed inwardly, the wave of reform and opening up had indeed brought tremendous changes to people's lives. Nowadays, people not only have increasingly affluent material lives, but also a more obvious pursuit of quality of life. The thriving business of this small barbershop was the best proof of this.
Jiang Xiaomei caught a glimpse of Li Baolong entering the shop, and a charming smile instantly bloomed on her face. Her eyes held a hint of surprise and tenderness as she softly said, "Brother Baolong, please wait patiently for me a moment. I'll come and have a good chat with you after I finish what I'm doing." Li Baolong nodded slightly, found a corner to sit down, and quietly watched the bustling scene inside the shop. This wait lasted two or three hours. Finally, the customers gradually dispersed, and Jiang Xiaomei and her friends were able to catch their breath.
Night fell over the city, and Jiang Xiaomei, in high spirits, called over two of her colleagues from the shop, and together with Li Baolong, they went to a street food stall for a late-night snack. Months of separation had left them with so much to say. Jiang Xiaomei's eyes sparkled with excitement as she chattered incessantly, while Li Baolong listened quietly, a smile occasionally playing on his lips, savoring the joy of their reunion.
After a hearty meal, Jiang Xiaomei mysteriously said to Li Baolong, "I've opened a hotel nearby. You can stay there tonight, and I'll keep you company for a good chat." Upon hearing this, Li Baolong grinned mischievously and teased, "Sister Xiaomei, aren't you afraid I'll eat you up?" Jiang Xiaomei, however, showed no embarrassment. She gently took Li Baolong's arm and playfully scolded, "What's there to be afraid of? I'm already yours."
Li Baolong's heart fluttered at Jiang Xiaomei's words, and the wicked smile on his face became somewhat unnatural. He followed Jiang Xiaomei to the hotel. The room was softly lit, and the atmosphere gradually became subtle and ambiguous.
The two sat on the edge of the bed, chatting about their experiences over the past few months. Jiang Xiaomei recounted the amusing stories of the foot massage parlor, the bizarre requests from customers, and how she had always emphasized that she was selling her art, not her body.
Li Baolong's gaze softened as he looked at Jiang Xiaomei, who leaned gently against his shoulder. He could smell the faint fragrance of her hair, and his heart raced. His hand trembled slightly as he raised it and slowly placed it on Jiang Xiaomei's waist. Jiang Xiaomei tilted her head slightly, looking at Li Baolong with eyes full of love and anticipation.
After a fierce and passionate battle, Jiang Xiaomei and Li Baolong were both panting and drenched in sweat. They seemed to have lost all their strength, limply embracing each other and lying quietly in Li Baolong's broad, warm embrace.
Li Baolong gently stroked Jiang Xiaomei's delicate skin, as white and flawless as mutton fat jade, feeling the exquisite touch on his fingertips. He slowly said, "Sister Xiaomei, if I become rich in the future, I won't let you work so hard to run that hair salon and massage parlor anymore. At that time, you can just stay at home and cook delicious meals for me every day."
Hearing this, Jiang Xiaomei couldn't help but giggle charmingly. Her large, watery eyes gazed tenderly at Li Baolong as she softly replied, "Brother Long, what's a little cooking? But then again, to truly become a family, cooking alone isn't enough. More importantly, I need to give you a big, healthy son or a lovely little princess! So, you'd better put in some effort, don't let me keep waiting like this. It wouldn't look good if I became an old woman!" With that, Jiang Xiaomei gently poked Li Baolong's chest with her finger, her face beaming with a sweet, happy smile.
The next day, Li Baolong returned home to Rongcheng. Feeling slightly tired, he closed his eyes to rest. Just as he was immersed in the tranquility, his pager suddenly rang. Li Baolong checked the message and saw that it was from Honghong, informing him that the dance hall was extremely busy that evening and urgently needed his help.
After lunch, Li Baolong took a taxi straight to the dance hall. It wasn't yet opening time, but the hall was already nearly full, filled with laughter and lively conversation. Sister Honghong was busily attending to the guests, her graceful figure moving effortlessly among them, displaying her charming and sophisticated nature.
Upon seeing Li Baolong arrive, Honghong hurriedly stepped forward and said, "Baolong, a big boss has come today. I have to go and keep them company with drinks and dancing. Could you stay here and look after things?" Li Baolong nodded in agreement and then kept an eye on the situation from the side.
As night fell and the lights came on, the dance hall instantly became bustling with activity. Colorful lights flashed and danced, the music was deafening, and people swayed wildly on the dance floor. Li Baolong's gaze inadvertently swept across the dance floor, and he saw a short, fat man tightly embracing Honghong as they danced. The man's behavior was vulgar; he had buried his large head deep into Honghong's ample breasts. Witnessing this, Li Baolong was instantly filled with a surge of anger. He secretly resolved to find an opportunity to teach this shameless old rogue a lesson, to vent his anger, and to defend Honghong's dignity.
