Chapter 39 Good Boy

Chapter 39: So Good

I talked to my parents on the phone for a long time last night, and then I edited a few videos and uploaded them, and then I went to bed a little late.

So Liu Wangxue was woken up by the dog again. Pengpeng was very anxious because he wanted to go out to poop.

Wenxi was unable to get up as expected; her biological clock just wasn't set for this time.

When Liu Wangxue was pulling the traction rope to open the gate, she was stopped by a voice saying "Good morning". She turned around and saw that it was Du Yunkai, who was standing on the roof of Xu Qingsong's bungalow, waving at her.

"Going out?" Du Yunkai asked. Because of the kitchen's obstruction, he couldn't see the cat and dog next to Liu Wangxue.

Liu Wangxue was wearing a neat sportswear. She nodded and said, "Let's take Pengpeng out for a run. Do you want to join us? The air here is quite fresh in the morning."

Du Yunkai was thinking this, so he quickly went downstairs. Xu Qingsong had just finished washing up, so they went together.

When they came over, Peng Peng and Xiao Ci had already finished their work at the edge of the field. Xiao Ci scratched Peng Peng with her front paws, and Peng Peng lay on the ground, and then Xiao Ci climbed onto its back.

Xu Qingsong praised: "Great, Xiaoci, you already have a mount right after arriving!"

Du Yunkai asked with a smile: "Is it going to carry the cat for a walk?"

Liu Wangxue brought her cell phone with her. She held the leash in one hand and the camera in the other. She also said with a smile, "Let it get comfortable for a while, and then we'll take it down. We're here to exercise, not to enjoy ourselves, hahahaha."

The three of them walked forward. Du Yunkai looked back and asked Liu Wangxue, "Where's Wenxi? Isn't she coming with us?"

Liu Wangxue said: "She can't get up."

Walking onto the wider cement road, Liu Wangxue picked up Xiaoci and put her on the ground. Xiaoci seemed to not understand why she was being picked up, and raised her round head to look at Liu Wangxue.

Liu Wangxue scratched its chin and said, "Let's run together."

The three people and the dog ran forward a few steps. Liu Wangxue looked back and found that Xiaoci was still standing there. Liu Wangxue gently pulled the leash, Pengpeng also looked back, and then barked at Xiaoci a few times.

The cat then reluctantly started running forward to catch up with them. However, after running for a short while, it was unwilling to move anymore.

Pengpeng turned back and used his nose to push Xiaoci forward, and Xiaoci let him push her forward. After pushing for a while, Pengpeng became unwilling and called out to Liu Wangxue twice.

Liu Wangxue and the others kept standing still, watching the interaction between the two.

Seeing that Pengpeng stopped pushing it, Xiaoci walked to Liu Wangxue's feet, stretched out its claws to grab her trouser leg, and tried to climb up.

Liu Wangxue could only stop and hand Pengpeng's leash to Xu Qingsong: "Please take Pengpeng with you for a run, you lazy cat."

Du Yunkai asked, "You don't want to run with it as a weight, do you?"

Liu Wangxue bent down and picked up Xiaoci. Forget it, it’s our own cat, just pamper her.

She patted Xiaoci's butt and said, "You can't just leave it here." She poked Xiaoci's forehead gently and said, "I won't bring you out next time."

Xu Qingsong took the leash and handed it to Du Yunkai, saying to Liu Wangxue, "It must weigh at least five or six kilograms. How about letting me hold it?"

As he spoke, he stretched out his hand towards the cat. Xiao Ci immediately raised its two front paws and hit Xu Qingsong's hand through the air.

Du Yunkai laughed at him: "People look down on you!"

Liu Wangxue was helpless and said, "Let's go. We can carry the weights to exercise our bodies!"

Xiao Ci seemed to have received some kind of signal in an instant. She grabbed Liu Wangxue's coat and climbed onto her shoulders, then squatted down obediently.

The three of them were surprised and burst into laughter.

After jogging, I still walked back.

The new round of rice planting has ended, and the paddy fields are full of short seedlings, growing freely in the sun. In the lotus pond, the green lotus leaves support the graceful lotus flowers, swaying gently in the breeze.

When passing the intersection of a field path, I met several children holding lotus pods. The oldest one looked about seven or eight years old, and the youngest seemed to be only three or four years old. There were mud stains on their clothes. The youngest one was the most embarrassed, with half of his buttocks and trouser legs covered in mud, and his white face was also scratched.

The children stopped beside an electric tricycle and stared at the three of them as they came over with a cat and a dog. They were mainly looking at Liu Wangxue, because she was not only holding a dog with bumpy fur, but also had a cat sitting on her shoulder.

Liu Wangxue looked at these pairs of curious and innocent eyes and couldn't help but greet them with a smile: "Hello~"

The older children were a little shy, but the youngest one immediately smiled broadly when he saw Liu Wangxue greeting them.

He held a few lotus pods in his arms, and walked over with his short legs. He raised his little head to look at Liu Wangxue, and started the chat mode that only children would use: "Sister, do you have a cat?"

Liu Wangxue squatted down and corrected him: "Call me Auntie."

"Oh," the little one asked again, "Sister, are you supporting Auntie?"

Liu Wangxue looked back at Xu Qingsong and Du Yunkai. It was really ridiculous. She had no choice but to squat down, take the cat off her shoulders, and introduce it to the child: "The cat's name is Xiaoci."

The little one said to the cat, "Hello, Xiaoci. My name is Youyou, also called Xiaoyouzi. I have two names."

Liu Wangxue pinched Xiaoci's paw and waved to Youyou: "Youyou, hello!"

Seeing her friendly smile, the other children gathered around her. A little girl with pigtails asked, "Sister, what's the dog's name?"

"Call Peng Peng."

"Sister, why is its fur like this?"

"Sister, why is the cat sitting on your shoulder?"

"elder sister."

For a moment, Liu Wangxue was surrounded by a barrage of questions. Xu Qingsong and Du Yunkai also squatted down, helped answer questions, and joined in the conversation with the children.

Youyou seemed to like Xiaoci very much and asked Liu Wangxue: "Sister, can I touch it?"

Before Liu Wangxue could answer, a little fat boy stopped her: "No, your hands are dirty and will make the cat dirty."

Youyou spread out her little hands, and a few lotus pods fell to the ground. She looked at her hands covered with mud and green juice, and wiped them on her knees, but found they were not clean, and she felt a little sad.

Liu Wangxue put the cat on the ground, with a gentle smile in her eyes, and said: "It's okay, you can wash it again if it gets dirty. Cats also need a bath."

Youyou got permission, stretched out her little hand, and gently touched Xiaoci's head. His eyes suddenly brightened, and he said happily: "Sister, it's so good!"

When the other children saw this, they also asked if they could touch it. After getting permission, they put the lotus pods on the ground, stretched out their dirty little hands, touched the cats and dogs, and then exchanged feelings with Liu Wangxue and the others.

Du Yunkai looked at the time and it was already past eight o'clock. He asked them, "Don't you have to go to school? You'll be late if you don't go home now."
