Chapter 90 What a coincidence!
Xia Qianqian shrank back in fright, but then she regained her composure when she saw the wolf king's eyes staring intently at her—there was no malice in them, only overwhelming anger towards the "bad people who bullied her".
She finally believed it completely. This majestic wolf king truly regarded her as someone he wanted to protect.
Xia Qianqian sniffed and reached out to vigorously rub the wolf king's head: "Okay, okay, I know you're amazing~"
The wolf king's growl paused, seemingly stunned by her caresses. Its fangs slowly retracted, but a warning "woof" still rolled from its throat, while its tail gently swept the ground behind it.
With the wolf king in charge, Xia Qianqian felt much more at ease.
She walked up the newly emerged mound to check on the growth of the fruit trees.
Strangely enough, this Peach Blossom Spring seems to have a magical power to ripen fruit. In just a few days, the branches of the fruit trees that were transplanted earlier are once again covered with dense, unripe small fruits. It seems that it won't be long before there are more fruits than you can eat.
Xia Qianqian was overjoyed to see the thriving growth.
She found a lush fruit tree to sit on and casually picked a few bright red hawthorns from a branch. The memory of being overwhelmed by their sourness last time was still fresh; she hesitated for a moment, but couldn't resist putting them in her mouth.
"Hiss!" Sure enough, it was so sour that he grimaced and his brows furrowed tightly.
She glanced at the wolf king lying obediently to the side, her eyes darting around as a mischievous glint appeared in her eyes. She picked out the reddest hawthorn and tossed it to the wolf king, coaxing, "Try it, it's sweet!"
The wolf king had no idea there was a trap. When she handed him the food, he obediently opened his mouth wide to take it and took a bite with a "crunch".
The next second, the wolf king suddenly raised its head, let out a sour "howl", its whole face scrunched up like a bun, its tongue stuck out and it kept panting. The majestic wolf king appearance was gone, and it looked like a wronged little dog.
Seeing this, Xia Qianqian couldn't hold back any longer and burst into laughter, clutching her stomach until tears streamed down her face. The wolf king looked at her with a pitiful expression, his amber eyes full of accusation, as if to say, "You lied to the wolf!"
While rubbing the wolf king's fluffy head, Xia Qianqian smiled and apologized, "Okay, okay, it was my fault. I won't let you eat such sour things again next time."
The wolf king glanced at her sideways, his eyes clearly saying, "You're smart to know what's good for you," and then nodded coolly.
Xia Qianqian estimated the time and figured the person following her should have left the restroom. She took a deep breath and solemnly said to the Wolf King, "I'll go out and check the situation first. You wait inside for my signal. Come out immediately when I call you, and then you go and bite the bad guys!"
Seeing the wolf king nod again, Xia Qianqian no longer hesitated. With a thought, her figure disappeared into the Peach Blossom Spring.
The next second, Xia Qianqian appeared in a restroom stall in the department store. As soon as she steadied herself, she saw that the stall door had indeed been kicked open and was hanging crookedly on the frame. Fortunately, there were no longer any onlookers around; it seemed the commotion had subsided.
Xia Qianqian understood. The bad guy who had been following her was probably impatient to wait for her to come out, and afraid of causing too much trouble here, so he left temporarily. But he certainly wouldn't go far; he might be hiding in some corner nearby, waiting for her. However, now that the Wolf King was helping her, she felt much more at ease and wasn't so afraid anymore.
She took a deep breath, straightened her clothes, and walked out of the restroom, heading straight for the counter where she had previously stored her belongings.
The sales clerk greeted her warmly, her face full of concern: "Comrade, you're finally out! I heard there was an accident at the restrooms. Are you alright?"
Xia Qianqian shook her head and quickly asked, "I'm fine. Are all the things I left here still there? I want to take them with me now."
As they were talking, Xia Qianqian spotted the person who had been following her. After searching for a long time without finding Xia Qianqian, the person turned their attention to the goods she had stored there.
After finally finding out where to store the goods, Xia Qianqian unexpectedly appeared.
He stared intently at Xia Qianqian, completely baffled as to where this woman had come from.
Xia Qianqian pretended not to know anything, and carrying the goods, walked towards the entrance of the department store.
Seeing this, the stalker hurriedly followed. He was secretly delighted, thinking to himself, "Good things come to those who wait, it seems this money and goods will eventually end up in my hands."
Xia Qianqian caught a glimpse of him following her out of the corner of her eye, and the corners of her mouth turned up slightly, forming a meaningful arc.

Xia Qianqian kept walking, heading further and further into a secluded area. Seeing this, the follower's mouth stretched to his ears, his face filled with a greedy smile.

In the blink of an eye, the already deserted alley became completely empty.
The stalker approached Xia Qianqian step by step, like a hungry wolf, and said viciously, "If you know what's good for you, leave the goods and money behind, and I might spare your life. Otherwise..."
He warned menacingly, "No one will come to save you from here."

The stalker's pupils contracted sharply as a wolf king suddenly darted out from behind Xia Qianqian.
The wolf king exuded a fierce aura, its sharp claws pressing down on the tracker, pinning him to the ground, unable to move.
The stalker was terrified and screamed at the top of his lungs, "Help!"
Xia Qianqian laughed like a villain, mimicking the man's tone, and said, "No one will come to save you."
