Chapter 366 Shall we fight?

Chapter 366 Shall we fight?

After the blind date, the girl left, and Howard didn't think much of it.

He knew that Huo's mother had always been worried about him. She hoped that he could get married and have children as soon as possible, so that she could put her mind at ease. But marriage was not something that could be done so easily.

After all, how can life be the same no matter who you live with?

He's only back now because he wants to live a peaceful life for a while. He'll raise the puppy, and then give it away.

This puppy is too noisy; he's determined to give it away himself.

But to his surprise, Chun Ya came over the next day. She came to weed his field. Chun Ya was dressed in short clothes, but she worked very efficiently and quickly weeded the field.

Howard only discovered this when he went to work in the fields.

Howard: "..."

His blind date with Chun Ya wasn't a secret, and Chun Ya had been there for who knows how long, making it easy for people to misunderstand their relationship. He suddenly felt a headache coming on, so he said, "Comrade Chun Ya, you should go back and not come here again."

In truth, this was also his fault. He didn't want to go on a blind date in the first place, but he didn't explain it clearly, which led to Chun Ya's misunderstanding.

You know, these days, the way to show goodwill is to help with housework at the other person's home. Chun Ya understood what he meant.

But he didn't have that idea.

Upon hearing this, Chun Ya looked somewhat at a loss.

She looked at Howard, somewhat flustered, and said, "Comrade Howard, is there something I did that displeased you? I can change it."

Howard shook his head and said seriously, "Actually, I never thought about finding a partner. My previous marriage wasn't very successful, and I haven't fully recovered from it. Right now, I just want to maintain my single life. I was completely unaware that the village chief was introducing me to someone."

Chun Ya's eyes immediately dimmed, and she nodded, saying, "I understand."

After saying that, she left.

Howard watched her departing figure and frowned slightly.

Ultimately, it was his fault. If he had made things clear beforehand, this wouldn't have happened.

After today's events, who knows what bad rumors might spread.

But Howard didn't care about all that anymore; after all, he had no intention of having any relationship with Chun Ya.

However, to his surprise, at that moment, a man suddenly rushed over, kicked Chun Ya, and knocked her to the ground.

"You shameless woman! You actually went on blind dates with other men while I was away! I guess it's because I've been too good to you that you dare to act like this? Have you forgotten who you are? Huh?"

The man looked fierce and menacing; his gaze towards Chun Ya was malevolent.

Chun Ya clutched her stomach and said painfully, "I'm already divorced from you. We have nothing to do with each other. Even if I marry another man in the future, that's my freedom, and it's none of your business."

The man had accumulated huge gambling debts and had bad habits; he would beat her when he was drunk, and she had been putting up with him all along.

But this time, the man actually wanted to sell her to pay off his gambling debts. Chun Ya couldn't take it anymore and insisted on getting a divorce.

She has a younger brother, and her parents dote on him and don't care about her. This is why men bully her. But this time she was very firm. She was determined to get a divorce. She put in a lot of effort to get a divorce and even asked the village chief for help. In the end, she finally got a divorce.

Even though they were divorced, the man would still occasionally come to her house for dinner, making it seem as if they had never divorced.

Fortunately, the debt collectors were very aggressive during this time, so her ex-husband hid outside and stopped harassing Chun Ya. Chun Ya then thought about finding someone to marry and starting a new life, but little did she know that this man would actually come looking for her.

"What divorce? Even if we get divorced, you'll still be mine. Let me tell you, you'll never get rid of me in this lifetime! You're coming with me now."

The man grabbed Chun Ya's hand and tried to take her away.

Chun Ya's eyes were filled with panic: "No, I won't go with you. Now that we're divorced, we have nothing to do with each other anymore. Don't come looking for me again."

"You bitch!"

The man slapped her across the face, his voice filled with anger: "I bet you haven't been beaten enough, that's why you're so bold. Come back with me now, and I'll let bygones be bygones for what you did before. Don't you even know what kind of person you are? How dare you defy me!"

He hurled very harsh insults at her, and Chun Ya looked terrified. She tried her best to resist the man, but she was too weak and had no power to fight back. So she was dragged away by him.

Chun Ya looked very sad, and two lines of clear tears rolled down her cheeks, but there was nothing she could do.

This is an act of violence in broad daylight.

Her ex-husband did look very strong, big and burly, and two heads taller than Chun Ya. It was normal that Chun Ya was powerless to resist him.

This is someone else's business, and in principle, Howard shouldn't interfere. He didn't intend to get involved in Chun Ya's affairs either, but what the other party did was really too much, so much that he couldn't stand it anymore. His eyes were filled with anger, and he rushed over, slapped the man's hand away, and rescued Chun Ya from the man's side.

"Why did you force her to do that? Didn't you see that she didn't want to go with you? You're already divorced, which means you have no relationship with each other anymore. And you still hit her, which is illegal! You called her a slut, but I think you're the one with the problem. Otherwise, what kind of skill is it to bully a woman? I think you're the most unreasonable person."

The man was stunned by what Howard said. He stared at Howard for a while before he reacted. Then he pointed at Chun Ya and cursed, "So, I've only been gone a few days and you've already found someone else? He's your lover, isn't he?"

Chun Ya shook her head: "No."

Howard just rejected her; there was no possibility between them. Now that Howard is willing to stand up for her, he must be doing so out of pity for her.

She also felt quite pitiful, having chosen such a person for her first marriage. Even after the divorce, he continued to harass her, giving her no chance to breathe.

If she had known her ex-husband was this kind of person, she shouldn't have gotten married in the first place.

Howard observed the man, frowning. He still couldn't understand why a man would hit a woman, using his physical strength to bully others. It was simply disgusting.

The man stared at Howard, his entire body tense. He glared at Howard, not making any rash moves, and narrowed his eyes: "What are you going to do? Do you want to fight me? Fine, I've never lost a fight. Come on."
