Yun Tangyin drew circles on his chest with her fingertips: "Xu Rong is the most opportunistic. I'm afraid she's here to stir up trouble in the divorce."

The next morning, Fu Yucheng rushed to the supply and marketing cooperative with his allowance in his pocket. As soon as he entered, he bumped into Yu Xia carrying a soy sauce bottle: "Oh, are you in a hurry to buy jewelry for your wife?"
"Sister-in-law, are you here to buy soy sauce too?" He nodded with a smile. "I was just thinking of picking out a bracelet for Yinyin."
Yu Xia glanced at the counter and said, "If you ask me, I'd say buying a pair of silver rings would make things easier to do at work."
Fu Yucheng actually picked up the ring and compared it to his own: "That's a good idea. Let's also get a bracelet to match it. Let's buy both."
Yun Tangyin was embroidering in the courtyard when Jiang Jianhua came over with a needle and thread basket: "Yinyin, Xu Rong is making a scene at my house, saying that Jiang Zhicheng is delaying her daughter's future."

Yun Tangyin opened the box and saw the silver bracelet gleaming in the sunlight, along with a pair of smooth rings: "You actually bought them all?"
"Try it on." He picked up the bracelet and slipped it onto her wrist; it fit perfectly. "Does it look good?"
"It's beautiful..." Yun Tangyin touched the bracelet, "but it's too expensive. I don't need any more bracelets."
"The money is for my wife." He slipped one ring onto his own finger and the other onto hers. "Look, it's a perfect pair."
Suddenly, a quarrel broke out outside the courtyard gate. Xu Rong shouted in a shrill voice, "Jiang Zhicheng, you heartless bastard! If it weren't for your vow that Runli was good, would I have married her to you?!"
Fu Yucheng frowned: "I'll go take a look."
"No." Yun Tangyin pulled him back. "Let them handle their own affairs. Why should we interfere?"
Not long after, Yu Xia dragged Yun Tangyin to watch the excitement.
Jiang Zhicheng, with red eyes, was settling accounts with Xu Rong.

Xu Rong hadn't noticed Yun Tangyin yet, but the moment she saw Yun Tangyin with her own eyes, her face turned pale.

"If you like it, sister-in-law, I'll ask my brother to buy you one too." Yun Tangyin smiled and slipped the ring onto her finger. "Look how pretty this smooth one is."
Fu Yucheng put his arm around Yun Tangyin and led her back into the house: "Officer Zhang brought over the photos from the shooting range that day, want to take a look?"
In the photo, the two stand side by side. He holds a gun, and the Jiangshi bracelet on her wrist sparkles. Sunlight falls on her hair, warm like a ball of fire.
Yun Tangyin touched her photo and said, "I look so silly with that smile."
"It's only good to look silly." Fu Yucheng hugged her from behind. "Let's take a family photo tomorrow and smile just as silly."
At night, Yun Tangyin tried on a cheongsam, and Fu Yucheng clicked his tongue in admiration beside her: "If I had known it would look this good, I should have made it for you sooner."

“Mom’s navy blue one is fine.” He pulled a red scarf out of the closet. “Wrap this around your neck, it’ll make you look more energetic.”
On the way to the photo studio the next day, Song Yushuang looked at Yun Tangyin's bracelet and laughed: "This Acheng is even more thoughtful than a young lady."
"If Mom likes it, I'll buy it for you too," Fu Yucheng said with a smile.
"No, no," Song Yushuang waved her hand. "I don't like silver; I like jade."
The photographer, holding up his camera, shouted, "Move closer to Comrade Yun! Hey, Comrade Yun, give us a smile!"
As soon as Yun Tangyin opened her mouth, Fu Yucheng secretly pinched her waist, making her dodge away. The camera clicked, freezing this moment into eternity.
On the way home, Yun Tangyin looked at the photo and laughed: "Look how you squeezed me, my face is all deformed."
“That’s how we show our closeness.” He tucked the photo into his pocket. “When we’re old, we can take it out and see how lively it was when we were young.”
On her way home, Song Yushuang suddenly slapped her thigh: "Oh dear, I forgot to ask the photographer to take a close-up picture of my orchid!"
Fu Yucheng smiled and said, "If Mom likes it, we'll go again tomorrow, just to take pictures of the orchids."
"Never mind, never mind." Song Yushuang waved her hand. "I can't join in the fun with you young people. You guys take more pictures."
She glanced at the silver bracelet on Yun Tangyin's wrist and said, "This bracelet is polished to a high shine and makes you look really elegant."
Fu Yucheng suddenly stopped in his tracks: "How about we buy Mom a piece of jade? She just said she likes jade."
"Don't buy things blindly." Yun Tangyin pulled him. "Jade is a shady business. Don't get scammed."
Song Yushuang, however, became interested: "It wouldn't hurt to go and take a look, we don't necessarily have to buy anything."
When the sales clerk saw them come in, she quickly took out a red cloth bag: "Oh, Brother Fu, you've come at the right time! I just bought a piece of Hetian jade. Would you like to take a look?"
The jade pendant was shaped like an orchid, gleaming with a warm glow under the light. Song Yushuang held it in her hand and stroked it: "This jade feels so comfortable to the touch, and the translucency is excellent."
"How much?" Fu Yucheng asked directly.
"One hundred yuan," the salesperson said with a smile. "This is a good deal for you."
Just as Yun Tangyin was about to haggle, Fu Yucheng had already taken out his money: "Wrap it up."

"If Mom likes it, then it's worth it." He put the jade pendant around Song Yushuang's neck. "Look, it suits you so well."
