Chapter 127 Lecture

Chapter 127 Propaganda

Upon hearing the students' questions, Zhao Yi wore a look of schadenfreude. Assistant Li wanted to maintain discipline, but Xu Songning spoke first.

"Hello, my name is Xu Songning, and I am one of the speakers for this presentation."

Xu Songning's cool voice was like a splash of cold water on a hot stone, and the classroom gradually quieted down.

Her calm gaze swept over the crowd below the stage, and whether they were there to watch the spectacle, to be interested, or to mock her, none of them stirred any emotion in her eyes.

"I have heard all your questions. First of all, I definitely did not go to the wrong classroom, and my profession is not the flight attendant you have defined me as. Secondly, please do not have a narrow understanding of any profession. Whether it is flight attendant or air traffic controller, it is an important part of aviation work. Please do not point fingers based on shallow first impressions."

"If you really have your own unique insights, you can contact your teacher and apply to the Civil Aviation Administration to give a presentation for us. You are welcome to come anytime."

Laughter broke out in the audience, easing the tense atmosphere. Assistant Teacher Li exclaimed, "Ms. Xu's ability to control the stage is truly impressive!"

"If no one wants to give us a presentation in return, can we begin? We won't compensate you for taking up your lunch time." Xu Songning blinked.

That blink was a bit unfair; she always knew her eyes were beautiful—large, double-lidded, almond-shaped eyes with a perfect ratio of sclera to iris. She cherished her eyes; their expressive eyes held a wealth of emotion, as if they could speak.

The students responded enthusiastically, "Okay!"

Xu Songning and Assistant Teacher Li gave up the podium, and Zhao Yixian gave the lecture.

Teaching assistant Li arranged a window seat for her, and she sat next to her with a notebook to take notes on the content of the presentation.

Although Zhao Yi is an average person, his professional knowledge is indeed outstanding.

He began by recounting the history and four main stages of development of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, emphasizing the importance of air traffic control, which stirred the young man's excitement. He then went on to discuss the responsibilities and duties of various air traffic control positions, performance evaluations and promotions, and salaries and benefits...

These topics are of great interest to the students, so they naturally listened attentively and took notes on the important parts.

When asked about being thirsty, Zhao Yi naturally took a sip of water. "That's all I have to say. Let Xiao Xu continue."

With the simple phrase "Xiao Xu," the teacher reiterated the senior-junior relationship between the students.

Xu Songning ignored his "clever idea." The content of her PPT overlapped a lot with what Zhao Yi said. Zhao Yi had covered all the professional knowledge, and her additions would be superfluous. Some of the things students could find online, so she had to say something different.

So, under the watchful eyes of everyone, Xu Songning stood up, walked to the front of the first row, pulled up a chair, and sat down.

The crowd was puzzled. What was going on? Wasn't she supposed to be giving them a presentation? Why did she just sit down? Was she really just a pretty face with no substance?

"I've covered most of the professional knowledge, now let me tell you some gossip." Xu Songning folded his hands and rested them on his knees.

The students' eyes lit up when they heard about the gossip.

Zhao Yi's lips twitched. What was she up to? Was she really going to spill the gossip from their circle? Was this something students should be listening to?

"Let me think, what are you interested in? The emotional state of flight attendants and male flight attendants, or the love-hate relationship between captains and first officers? Or perhaps the strange land-air dialogues that occur at high frequencies at 10,000 meters?" Xu Songning looked at everyone with a smile.

Zhao Yi's face immediately darkened. What was this all about? Did she have no professional ethics at all?! Was she deliberately retaliating against her master by ruining the lecture?

He got up to call Xu Songning down.

Teaching assistant Li was terrified and quickly pulled Zhao Yi to sit down, whispering, "Miss Xu knows what she's doing."

"She knows what she's doing?! She doesn't know anything! If she knew what she'd do, would she have gotten into this mess with her master?" Zhao Yi roared. With people all around him, at Li's request, he had no choice but to sit down and see what Xu Songning was up to.

Although Assistant Li didn't understand why what Xu Songning said was different from the PPT she had prepared, he trusted Xu Songning's character and believed she wouldn't deliberately mess things up.

The students' faces were filled with a variety of expressions, and they all shouted that they wanted to hear it all!

Xu Songning readily agreed, "Okay! Let's start with the flight attendants and male flight attendants then."

The students who were playing on their phones immediately sat up straight, put their phones in their pockets, and leaned on the table to listen attentively to her.

Sure enough, people only concentrate when listening to gossip.

Xu Songning cleared her throat, enduring Zhao Yi's terrifying gaze, and continued, "As everyone knows, our flight attendant program is full of handsome men and beautiful women. With so many handsome men and beautiful women, there's naturally a lot of gossip. For example, when flying, some passengers ask for their contact information, wanting to develop a relationship with them. Do you think we should give that out?"

"able!"

"cannot!"

"Of course not. This is during the flight attendants' working hours. Such behavior by passengers constitutes harassment and affects their work," Xu Songning said earnestly.

"The captain and first officer have even more gossip to share. For example, their relationship status, salary and benefits, flight hours, when they became captains, when they were promoted from first officer to captain, which planes they've flown, which is easier to handle, Boeing or Airbus, how many times they practiced on the simulator this month... Ah, of course, you can only hear this in the flight class next door. I know that captains are generally in pretty good shape, after all, most pilots work out."

One of the guys, not to be outdone, rolled up his sleeves to show off his muscles, saying, "We work out too! Look, muscles!"

“We air traffic controllers do need to work out too. Even though we don’t have any troublemakers, if we encounter some captains who are looking for trouble, showing off our muscles offline might be more effective,” Xu Songning said with a smile.

The students burst into laughter. They had never met a real captain before, nor had they ever actually worked a job. If they encountered a captain with far more seniority than themselves and were given a hard time, they would feel all sorts of emotions and would have to be very good at handling it.

Xu Songning continued, "Actually, I think Airbus would be better, since it has a small tray table, which makes eating more convenient. What types of aircraft have you flown on? Do you have a favorite model? Do you ask the captain to write a flight log?"

The students chattered away, just like in a bird park.

Xu Songning raised his hand, signaling them to raise their hands and speak one by one.

Soon, students stood up one by one to share the types of aircraft they had flown on and their experiences. Xu Songning scored them on the blackboard to see which company, Boeing or Airbus, had a higher score.

One of the girls is a frequent flyer, and her connection with airplanes and air traffic control began with her flight notebook. She brought it to this presentation to share her experiences with each flight and the captain's message.

Xu Songning was also peeking from the side when she suddenly saw a familiar handwriting on a page. She pressed down on the notebook, smiled gently, and said, "Hey, I know this captain."
