Chapter 218 Keep a Low Profile
Xu Songning looked at the photos with great joy. "I'm going to print them all out, including the ones Qiaoqiao took for us last time. I'll keep them all. Luckily, I still have blank pages in my photo album."
“If that’s not enough, we’ll buy another photo album,” Xiang Yun said, putting his arm around her.
“Great! We want to capture many more wonderful moments. Let’s take lots of photos on this trip; we might even be able to print a whole photo album when we get back,” Xu Songning replied happily.
Xiang Yun's Adam's apple bobbed. "The whole book?"
Keep in mind that his photos from adolescence to the present only fill a few pages of a photo album.
“Right! Yun-ge, don’t you want to take a picture with me?” Xu Songning pressed his finger against Xiang Yun’s chin. The point of going out to play is to relax, so he wanted to find something for Xiang Yun to do so that he wouldn’t think about the plane.
"I'll do whatever you say," Xiang Yun agreed.
He would listen to Xu Songning on anything that didn't violate his bottom line, without any regrets.
Xu Songning nodded in satisfaction and was about to send the photo to her best friends' group chat when she glanced up and saw a familiar face. "Hey, isn't that Gu Xing? Is he flying today?"
Xiang Yun wasn't surprised. He chuckled and waved to the crew.
The passing aircraft stopped as expected. Gu Xing greeted the others and then walked over.
"Hey, what are you two doing at the airport?"
Gu Xing, dressed in a captain's uniform, was particularly eye-catching. His long legs and slender waist attracted a lot of attention as he stood there.
"Keep a low profile, Captain Gu." Xu Songning covered his forehead and half his face with his hand.
"What's wrong? Is it embarrassing to know me? You guys aren't sitting here because you're going abroad, are you?" Gu Xing plopped down.
Xiang Yun countered with a question, "You fly a plane?"
"Yes, you're taking a plane?"

"Good lad, you actually came to hitch a ride on my plane. I have to let you experience Captain Gu's superb flying skills!" Gu Xing laughed and secretly gave Xu Songning a thumbs up.
Wow, Sister Xu is something else! She actually managed to get someone out for a walk. She's got some skills! It's no wonder Xiang Yun fell for her.
"Stop showing off, go on." Xiang Yun slapped his arm.
Gu Xing exclaimed, "Never mind, I won't beat you up because of Sister Xu. Otherwise, you'll lose face."

Gu Xing quickly rolled away, and the people around him began to whisper among themselves.
"Was that our flight's captain just now? He's so handsome!"
"Probably, look at the four stripes on his shoulders."
"Hey, there was a plane crash recently, have you guys been following the news?"
"I heard about it. Apparently, it's quite serious; one of the plane's engines fell off!"
Xu Songning squeezed Xiang Yun's hand and muttered, "Are the rumors getting this out of control these days? If the engine falls down, wouldn't that injure innocent bystanders?"

Xu Songning sat up straight. "Want me to praise you? Well, that depends on how you perform these past few days."
"Attention passengers, boarding has begun for CA174 bound for Malé..."
Xu Songning carried her small bag, while Xiang Yun carried a small bag containing their identification documents.
As they walked to the boarding gate, they saw another person who had just said goodbye. "Hi! Welcome aboard CA174. Our destination is Malé. Find your seats and sit down. There will be no stops along the way, so please do not jump off the plane without permission."
Everyone around Gu Xing was amused, and Xu Songning exclaimed, "Captain, you're so special!"
"Don't have a crush on me, I already have a girlfriend." Gu Xing casually loosened his tie.
Xiang Yun took Xu Songning's hand and raised an eyebrow. "She has a boyfriend too."
"Stop showing off your love, let's go!" Gu Xing waved and urged.
"Captain, don't cause trouble here. Why don't you go inside and get ready?" the flight attendant whose job had been taken away suggested in a low voice.
"Alright." Gu Xing left with a flourish.
Xu Songning sat down by the window and looked at the busy ground staff below. She felt a sense of emotion. She looked towards the control tower, where Lu Xiaomeng should be working.
Xiang Yun sat down next to her, somewhat lost in thought.
Recently, Xiang Yun has been spacing out a lot. Xu Songning put her fingers between his fingers and intertwined them. Neither of them spoke.
The plane taxied onto the runway, its engines roaring.
Xu Songning suddenly remembered something interesting, "Hey, Yun-ge, you know what? When I went for psychological counseling, the therapist played a piece of white noise from an airplane engine for me, and I actually fell asleep."
"Don't you find it noisy?" Xiang Yun squinted. The weather outside the window was nice, so the flight should go smoothly.
"It's so quiet, it's really amazing. You should try it too, take a nap on the plane."
"Okay, I'll give it a try."
As the plane lifted off the ground and gradually ascended to cruising altitude, it appeared to be flying above the clouds when viewed from the window.
Most of the people on the plane were quietly doing their own thing; an eight-hour journey would be too boring without doing something.
Xu Songning and Xiang Yun intertwined their fingers, their heads turned towards each other, and closed their eyes.
Xiang Yun thought he definitely wouldn't be able to sleep. Listening to the engine, dangerous signals would occasionally pop into his mind, repeatedly reminding him of the single-engine failure.
But when he opened his eyes, Xu Songning's peaceful sleeping face was right in front of him. He took a deep breath and silently closed his eyes.
Amidst the roar of the engine, the two held hands tightly and drifted off to sleep.
