Chapter 220 Rainy Night
The butler was holding a champagne glass and a large black umbrella.
"Thank you." Xu Songning accepted the champagne. It was raining heavily outside, but the champagne didn't get wet at all.
"The hotel provides dinner; you can go eat there when the rain lightens up," the butler said.
Xu Songning nodded. The rain didn't look like it was going to let up anytime soon, so she asked, "Is there still dinner at nine o'clock?"
"That spot should be empty. If you don't mind, I'll go get you some food." The butler pointed to the glowing house not far away.
“Okay,” Xu Songning replied, picking out a few dishes that looked good from the pictures shown by the butler.
Soon after, the butler returned with something: a square insulated food container with all the food cut up and arranged inside.
The presentation was quite nice, and the food was more Western-style. The medium-rare steak was garnished with rosemary and halved cherry tomatoes were placed together.
After they finished drying their hair, the raindrops outside the window became smaller, and the small balcony was wet, with occasional raindrops drifting in.
Xu Songning had a novel idea and was about to put it into practice immediately: "Brother Yun, let's eat on the balcony!"
Xiang Yun glanced at the rain outside and agreed to her impromptu idea. He wanted to change his clothes, but when he opened his suitcase, his gaze froze.

"It feels like the end of the world," Xu Songning said, voicing Xiang Yun's thoughts.
She turned back to look at Xiang Yun and smiled, reaching out her hand to him. "If this is the end of the world, and we are still together, that would be the best ending."
The sea breeze blew everything backward, and in the vast expanse of heaven and earth, only Xu Songning reached out his hand to him.
He grasped it, he grasped everything that was deep in his heart and unshakable.
Everything becomes insignificant in the face of heaven and earth, including humankind.

Xu Songning took Xiang Yun's hand, pulled him closer, and gently kissed his cheek.

The surging seawater crashed against the balcony.
Xu Songning smiled smugly, leaned closer to Xiang Yun, and whispered, "I know."

"As much as you love me."
"Don't make them all the same," Xiang Yun said in a deep voice.
Xu Songning shook his head, "Hmm, they should be equal in amount, so that the love won't become unbalanced."
Love is like flowing water and shifting sand; if they love each other equally, they will always be in a state of balance.

Xiang Yun didn't argue with her, but silently kissed her forehead, the tip of her nose, her lips, and her chin.

Xiang Yun reached out to grab her, but she had already slipped off the bed, changed into a backless beach dress, and lightly pushed open the glass door.
