Chapter 96 A Feast for the Eyes

Chapter 96 A Feast for the Eyes

"Xiang Yun! Over here."

Someone was waving at Xiang Yun from the terminal exit; it was Gu Xing, whom he hadn't seen for many days.

He was also wearing a pilot's uniform, and standing next to him was a tall, broad-shouldered, long-legged foreign man.

Xiang Yun dragged the flight case over and glanced at the person next to Gu Xing. "Who is he?"

The man's appearance combined the best features of both Caucasians and Asians: healthy wheat-colored skin, a three-dimensional facial structure, deep-set eyes, long eyelashes, a high nose bridge, and dark brown curly hair styled with hairspray, exuding the charm of a mature man.

He extended his hand first, speaking in fluent Chinese without a hint of accent, "Captain Xiang, hello, my name is Luo Xiao."

Xiang Yun was somewhat surprised. She shook hands with him and said, "Hello, I'm Xiang Yun. You speak Chinese very well."

"I started learning when I was one year old, and I've been learning for almost thirty-two years," Luo Xiao said with a smile.

Xiang Yun wasn't sure if all foreigners were well-maintained, but at least Luo Xiao didn't look his age at all; Luo Xiao was only a few months younger than Gu Xing.

“He’s of Chinese descent, his mother is Chinese, and his brother speaks even better Chinese. I’ll introduce you to him another day. We got this from him last time to help resolve Miss Xu’s situation. Luckily, I know his brother.” Gu Xing put his arm around Luo Xiao’s shoulder, and because of their height difference, Luo Xiao’s shoulder slumped down a bit as he was pulled along.

"Thank you," Xiang Yun said. "I'll treat you to coffee."

"You're welcome. My brother said that we should help Brother Gu with his needs." Luo Xiao didn't stand up straight, letting Gu Xing put his arm around his shoulder.

Xiang Yun couldn't stand it anymore and slapped Gu Xing's hand away, saying, "You're not even as tall as him, don't you get tired of putting your arm around his shoulder?"

"Aren't you tired? Besides, you're not that much taller, are you?" Gu Xing compared their heights, trying to deceive himself, while Luo Xiao smiled but remained silent.

The two were noticeably different in height. Gu Xing scratched his chin with his finger and came up with a plausible excuse: "It must be because he styled his hair too high, making him look taller."

Luo Xiao agreed, "Curly hair does make you look taller, even though I'm only 185cm."

Gu Xing, who is 178cm tall, didn't want to talk. Xiang Yun was two centimeters taller than him, and now someone was seven centimeters taller. He wondered if he should get a perm to see if it would make him a little taller.

Gu Xing quickly changed the subject, "Hey! Xiang Yun, coffee isn't enough. He specially flew all the way from Qatar on my plane. I also made an appointment with Xu Songning. I told them last time that it's good to have more friends. If Luo Xiao ends up in Shanghai, Xu Songning can help him out."

“She’s amazing. I heard that the captain who spread the rumors apologized to her,” Luo Xiao said.

Gu Xing nodded vigorously, "Yeah, our Sister Xu is not only great at commanding planes, but she also has a knack for dealing with scumbags like this. I bet Song Qing'an is too scared to sleep because of her, haha." Gu Xing laughed heartily.

Luo Xiao smiled politely, "He deserves it."

Gu Xing nodded in agreement, then remembered the important matter, "Hey, let's not talk here anymore. I've already made reservations at the restaurant, but I don't know if she's off work yet. Xiang Yun, why don't you ask her?"

"It should be soon. I landed in her sector just now. I'll go wait for her at the door. You guys go first and send me the location." Xiang Yun tossed his car keys to Gu Xing.

"Alright, just bring your people in when the time comes." Gu Xing led his men away first.

As Xiang Yun pulled the flight case to the door, she happened to run into a young male air traffic controller.

The male controller seemed to recognize him, glancing at him with a slightly strange look in his eyes.

Xiang Yun didn't think he was particularly recognizable. Knowing Xu Songning was already considered as having circumvented the social circle of the air traffic controllers. He really didn't know anyone else, nor did he remember their voices.

"You're looking for Sister Xu, right?" the man spoke first.

Xiang Yun sized him up. "Yes, you know me?"

The male controller scratched his head and nodded haphazardly. "She seems to have finished her shift. Wait a minute."

After handing over her shift, Xu Songning packed her things to go home. She bumped into Sister Wang's apprentice, expecting him to avoid her, but the young man spoke first, "Sister Xu, someone is waiting for you outside."

His attitude was much better than before, and even Sister Wang's evaluation of him was much higher, saying that he was much more serious than before, and she didn't know how he suddenly became so enlightened.

"Okay, thank you." Xu Songning smiled. Since the other party was no longer shy, no longer blushed easily when he saw her, and was willing to focus on his work, she was naturally happy to treat him as a normal colleague.

Before she even reached the door, she suddenly remembered, "Hey? How did Sister Wang's apprentice know that the person at the door was waiting for her?"

Could it be...?

She strode to the door, peeked out, and saw that the handsome figure standing there was none other than Xiang Yun.

Xu Songning exclaimed in surprise, "Brother Yun!"

Hearing the voice, Xiang Yun turned around, put away his phone, and said, "I'm off work, Xu Songning. Why didn't you reply to my message?"

"Huh?" Xu Songning looked down at her phone, and only after turning on the screen did she see several messages from Xiang Yun. She smiled and said, "I just got off work and haven't had a chance to check my phone yet. How long have you been waiting?"

"It won't be long. Let's go to the dinner party. I'll come pick you up." Xiang Yun glanced at his watch.

Xu Songning followed him outside. "A get-together? Who else is there?"

“Gu Xing, and also the Qatar Airways captain—Luo Xiao, didn’t he say he wanted to introduce you two? He lured people here from Qatar,” Xiang Yun replied.

Upon hearing his words, Xu Songning's eyes widened. "What? You kidnapped people from Qatar?!"

"Um."

"Isn't the Qatar Airways captain handsome?"

Xiang Yun paused, turned to look at her, and Xu Songning let him look openly. "What's wrong? Is it illegal to look at handsome guys?"

"You'll see for yourself later," Xiang Yun said indifferently.

Xu Songning felt a surge of satisfaction. "Oh dear, is Captain Xiang jealous? Why does his handsome face look so cold?"

The two walked to the garage. Xiang Yun didn't speak or look for the car, as if to say, "If you don't speak, I won't speak either."

"Brother Yun, where's your car? You didn't drive here?" Xu Songning asked deliberately.

"Gu Xing drove away."

"Oh~ then you'll have to drive my car, you won't be able to change your clothes then," Xu Songning said with a smile, secretly planning something.

I must say, Xiang Yun looks really good in his pilot's uniform. His already perfectly proportioned figure looks even better in the uniform, making one's heart flutter.

Xu Songning loved seeing him in his uniform. Ever since Xiang Yun sent her a photo of himself stuck in traffic in his pilot's uniform, she had been secretly wanting to see him in his uniform in person.

Unfortunately, every time Xiang Yun finished his flight, he would change out of his uniform on the way to the car, and even if they met at the door, he would be in casual clothes. Even on the few occasions when they met while he was in uniform, he would quickly change his clothes.

This time, I can finally feast my eyes.

“Okay, then Sister Xu will be your driver.” Xu Songning twirled her keychain, smiling brightly.
