Chapter 13 Is this the kind of question you should ask?

Chapter 13 Is that a question you can ask?

Su Xi coldly withdrew her hand. Diamonds depreciate even more; if she bought and sold them like a bracelet, the loss would be too great.

She needs to come up with a good way to recover the funds to the maximum extent possible.

The two of them went to see the old man first. The old man was in excellent spirits and seemed to be able to be discharged from the hospital tomorrow.

"Xiao Xi," Old Master Feng stared intently at Su Xi's lower abdomen, "is there any movement in your belly?"

Su Xi shook her head. "No."

"So, is your period late?" Old Master Feng pressed on, unwilling to give up. Before Su Xi could answer, Old Madam Feng grabbed her ear.

"You old geezer, you're delirious from your illness. How dare you ask such a question?" If anyone should be asking, it should be her.

Grandma Feng held Su Xi's hand and smiled, "Xiao Xi, you are currently trying to conceive. You must keep track of your period dates carefully. If it is delayed, you must pay attention, as the fetus is very delicate in the first three months."

Su Xi pursed her lips. "Don't worry, Grandma, my period isn't delayed."

Upon hearing this, Old Master Feng sighed. Su Xi looked over and, for some reason, saw a hint of doubt in his eyes, as if to say, "This shouldn't be happening."

Su Xi didn't think much of it; she figured the old man probably just really wanted to hold his great-grandson.

The two talked for a while longer before going to another hospital building.

Su Luochen was extremely thin, but because she was young and had collagen in her body, it was not easy to tell that she was sick.

Upon seeing Su Xi, Su Luochen's eyes lit up. He dropped the mouse, but his words were somewhat harsh.

"Sis, you finally remembered you have a younger brother. I thought you were dead."

Her younger brother, she didn't know who he took after, always spoke his mind directly, saying whatever came to mind. His words, though harsh, were always the truth, the absolute truth.

In today's society, everyone wears a mask, speaking frankly and insincerely. Only Su Luochen is different, probably because she has been sick and has not experienced the harsh realities of society.

Su Xi didn't mind and smiled as she placed the flowers on the small table.

Upon seeing the flowers, Su Luochen became unhappy again. "Sister, how many times have I told you, I don't like this junk."

"You rarely go out, so put some flowers and plants by your bedside. They'll make you feel good, and a good mood helps you recover faster. These flowers can bloom for a week or two, and they're really beautiful when they're in full bloom. The fragrance also helps you sleep."

"Sis, why can't you understand human language? If you don't like it, you just don't like it. Let me tell you the truth, before, the moment you left, I would throw it in the trash can. You didn't find it troublesome, but I did."

Su Xi's hands, which were arranging the flowers, froze. For the first time, she realized she was wrong.

She knew many men didn't like flowers as much as women, but she never imagined her younger brother would dislike them to such an extent. She hadn't cared enough about him; she knew nothing about his preferences.

"In that case, I'll take these flowers back with me later. If you think there's anything that can replace fresh flowers here, you can tell me."

"Hmm." Su Luochen seemed quite satisfied with the result. He didn't like watching flowers wither and die.

She added, "If there's anything that could replace it, the best thing would be stacks of cash, the more the better. Unfortunately, the money is all in my brother-in-law's hands, and you can't make that decision. It's pointless to say anything."

Su Xi just smiled.

Her younger brother used to criticize her, saying that even though she came from a wealthy family, she was manipulated by men and turned into a parasitic plant. She foolishly gave away a multi-billion dollar AI software program without any backup plan; if Feng Jinchen changed his mind one day, she'd be devastated.

Su Xi used to not take it seriously, but now she only regrets that her younger brother's previous scolding was too mild and didn't wake her up from her love-struck state.

Feng Jinchen arranged the things he had brought in the cabinet, closed the door, and then walked over to look at Su Luochen, his tone stern like that of an elder.

“Su Luochen, she is your sister, but more importantly, she is my wife. If you ever speak to my wife like that again, believe me, I will tell all your female friends about your breast cancer.”

The boy's face turned purple with anger. "You dare? I knew you weren't a good person."

Seeing her younger brother's breathing worsen, Su Xi became very worried and quickly pressed the call button.

“He’s still young. Besides, how can you reopen his wounds?” Su Xi glared at Feng Jinchen, a sharp pain shooting through her heart.

Su Luochen was diagnosed with leukemia. After years of treatment, her condition did not improve and it kept recurring. She was unable to find a suitable bone marrow match and then developed breast cancer as a complication.

Su Luochen, a teenage boy, was ashamed to talk about having breast disease, so only a few people knew about it.

“He’s not a kid anymore, he just turned 15, he’s a grown man. If I had a younger brother like that, I would have given him a good beating by now,” Feng Jinchen said, half-jokingly and half-seriously.

The nurse came in, checked and found nothing wrong, then went home.

Feng Jinchen looked at Su Xi with a face full of jealousy, "Xi Xi, I've noticed you're so biased. If I spoke to you like Luo Chen did, I would have been beaten to a pulp long ago."

Then she looked at Su Luochen and said, "You don't know how lucky you are. You trample on other people's sincerity. You'll regret it someday."

Su Luochen pouted, secretly rolled her eyes at Feng Jinchen, and looked at Su Xi, "Sister, I'm sorry, that's just how I talk. Maybe I should pretend to be mute and not speak anymore. Or maybe I should just cut my tongue out, I feel like my mouth is useless anyway."

"Don't talk nonsense." Su Xi tapped Su Luochen's forehead.

Before Feng Jinchen could say anything more, a phone call came in.

Upon seeing the name "Jump," his eyes flickered slightly. He told Su Xi and then went out to answer the phone.

Seeing Feng Jinchen walk away, Su Xi closed the door, took out a card and stuffed it into Su Luochen's hand, "There is 580,000 here, it's from your account, keep it safe."

"Why are you suddenly giving me money? Aren't you afraid your brother-in-law will be angry if he finds out?"

Su Xiyu's eyelashes trembled slightly. "It's okay. There will be many places to spend money in the future. Just don't spend it recklessly."

Su Luochen shifted to a more comfortable position, half-lying down, and stared intently into Su Xi's eyes. "Sister, what happened? I'm not a child anymore."

Su Xi hesitated and did not speak.

"Has Feng Jinchen been unfaithful?"

Su Xi's eyes widened. "How did you know? Who told you?"

"Do I need anyone to tell me? It's obvious even to someone with their ass. Let me guess," Su Luochen twirled the card in her hand, "Sis, you can't stand any nonsense, you'll definitely break up with him, and that scumbag might even demand compensation for your lost youth. Am I right?"

Su Xi's lips trembled.

"You're a little devil. Oh, and don't tell anyone about this, especially Grandma. Also, don't give yourself away later."

Su Luochen was speechless. "Sister, do you think I'm as stupid as you?"

Su Xi, "..."

"Sis, just you wait and see how I deal with him."

In the corridor, Feng Jinchen grew increasingly impatient. "Alright, alright, Wu Yaoyao, if you're not feeling well, go see a doctor. I don't know how to treat illnesses..."
