Chapter 48: The Contest, Tense and Fierce

Xiansi frowned and asked him, "What's wrong? Why are you in such a panic?"

With his hands on his hips and his body bent over, Minglang panted, "I've finally found out who tampered with Madam's car."

Xian Si's eyes narrowed, and she asked nervously, "Who?"

Minglang, panting heavily, uttered a name, "Lin Yue."

Xuan Si was shocked. "How could it be him?"

Lin Yue was Bo Xingzhi's driver and one of his confidants.

Logically speaking, he should be on Sang Yuwan's side.

Minglang slowly straightened up, raised his hand, and wiped the sweat from his forehead with his shirt sleeve.

"That bastard, I'll teach him a lesson."

Xian Si's forehead twitched. "Lin Yue has no grudge against the lady, why would he do this?"

Minglang's face was tense, and a fierce glint appeared in his eyes. "He must have been instructed by someone."

Sang Yuwan changed her clothes and came out of the bedroom. Seeing Minglang, she asked coldly, "Are you alright?"

Minglang scratched the back of his head, trying to hide his inner panic. "It's alright. Madam, how are you?"

Sang Yuwan's gaze darkened as she walked towards the living room, ignoring his question. "You just said that Lin Yue tampered with my car."

Minglang's anger flared up again, his knuckles cracking as he clenched his fists. "That's right, it's him."

"Where's the evidence?" Sang Yuwan sat down on the sofa, lifted her eyelids, and looked stern.

Minglang took out his phone and handed it to her, "Madam, take a look."

Sang Yuwan took it, her eyes slightly lowered.

The video footage was taken from a very tricky angle.

It's obviously a candid shot.

The two-minute video footage captured the entire process of Lin Yue committing the crime.

Lin Yue is Bo Xingzhi's driver, and his driving skills are top-notch. In his spare time, he enjoys studying various luxury cars and is very knowledgeable about their structure.

"Madam, I'll take men to arrest him right now," Minglang said indignantly.

Seeing this, Xiansi quickly tugged at his sleeve and whispered, "Calm down."

Having been colleagues for three years, she knows Minglang all too well.

He is skilled, loyal, and has strong initiative. His only flaw is that he can be impulsive.

Sang Yuwan tossed her phone onto the coffee table, turned to Xiansi, and asked, "Lin Ran submitted her resignation?"

Minglang looked completely bewildered.

Weren't we talking about Lin Yue? How did we end up talking about Lin Ran?

Xian Si stepped forward, lowered her eyes, and said calmly, "This morning, the report was submitted to HR."

Sang Yuwan withdrew her gaze, leaned forward, and took a candy from the crystal plate. She unwrapped it, put it in her mouth, and asked, "What was your reason for resigning?"

Xian Si replied, "It's due to her health. A couple of days ago, she was diagnosed with polyps in her uterus."

Sang Yuwan smiled slightly, yet it seemed as if she wasn't smiling at all. "Your illness really came at the right time."

Minglang was stunned and couldn't help but interject, "Madam, shouldn't you be concerned about Lin Yue?"

Sang Yuwan's eyes narrowed, a hint of ruthlessness flashing across her face. "No matter how unscrupulous Lin Yue is, he wouldn't dare lay a hand on me."

Minglang's eyes lit up as he realized, "The person behind him is Lin Ran."

Sang Yuwan ate some candy and turned on the TV.

There are matches scheduled for tomorrow.

Minglang showed no excitement upon seeing the images on television. His entire focus was on why Lin Ran was targeting Sang Yuwan.

"Madam, what should we do now?"

Sang Yuwan leaned back and pressed her temples. "There can't be only two grasshoppers on the same rope."

Minglang didn't understand.

Xiansi whispered a reminder, "Madam wants you to continue the investigation."

"I understand," Minglang said, suddenly realizing.

Sang Yuwan was exhausted, and after eating two candies, her energy was restored somewhat.

Seeing this, Xiansi pulled Minglang downstairs.

On the television, the athletes began to enter the stadium. The stands were packed with people, and cheers and shouts of encouragement rose and fell.

Sang Yuwan's breathing tightened, and every nerve in her body tensed up.

Over the past six years, Ming Zhan has been out of form for three years, failing to reach the finals of any major tournament.

He once considered retiring.

Until she wrote him a letter.

In the past two years, his performance has improved by leaps and bounds, and his physical condition is almost the same as when he won the championship.

She and he agreed that after the competition ended, they would meet in person.

On the big screen, Ming Zhan finally appeared.

He was wearing a bright red down jacket, a swimming cap, and swimming goggles, and walked steadily toward the track.

Sang Yuwan's eyes stung, tears welled up, and she silently said to herself.

"Second brother, keep it up!"

The competition has officially begun.

Eight swimsuit-clad athletes leaped into the water almost simultaneously, like arrows released from a bow, creating ripples before quickly disappearing beneath the shimmering surface.

The air seemed to freeze for a few seconds.

The contest was tense and fierce.

Sang Yuwan held her breath, her fingers clenching tighter and tighter.

As the competition progressed, the gap began to emerge. Ming Zhan gradually stood out, and every stroke he made seemed more powerful than the others, so fast that it seemed to leave an invisible trail in the water.

Sang Yuwan bit her lower lip, her heart pounding in her throat.

With breathless anticipation, Mingzhan touched the wall with an almost perfect form, completing the match.

He finally stood on the highest podium again.

Sang Yuwan took two deep breaths, blinked her eyelashes, and tears fell.

She took out her phone and sent him a WeChat message.

"Second brother, you're awesome."

-

Ning Wanzhen left Qinghe Garden, and the more she thought about it, the more uneasy she felt.

She took out her phone and looked at the photo again.

"Is this really bright and sunny?"

Mingmei and Sang Yuwan are about the same height, but because she is a celebrity, she is a bit thinner.

Rong Zhi held the woman, looking quite relaxed.

It's impossible to determine which one it is.

Ning Wanzhen took a deep breath, magnified the jade hairpin, and examined it carefully.

"No two pieces of jade are the same in the world. Even if the styles are the same, the quality of the jade will be different."

The more she looked at it, the more she felt there was something wrong.

Suddenly, Ning Wanzhen remembered the cuff of that man's shirt.

“Z”.

The first letter of the pinyin for "止".

behavior.

Rong Zhi.

Ning Wanzhen was terrified and felt a chill run through her body.

After a long pause, she finally had the strength to speak, "Turn around. Go back to Qinghe Garden."

"Yes, Madam."

Just as the driver was about to turn the steering wheel, she angrily said again, "To the hospital."

Throughout the journey, Ning Wanzhen's face was filled with anger, and her heart sank heavily.

If Sang Yuwan and Rong Zhi really did something shameful, she would definitely not let them off easily.

"Drive faster."

Ning Wanzhen was eager to confirm her suspicions and said sternly.

The driver gripped the steering wheel tightly with both hands, and a layer of cold sweat appeared on his back.

Arrived at the hospital.

Ning Wanzhen went straight to Rong Zhi's ward.

The man in black saw her and reached out to stop her.

"Madam, the Second Master is not available to receive guests. Please leave."

Ning Wanzhen angrily shouted, "Get out of the way!"

The man in black showed no fear, his face remaining expressionless and cold. "Madam, I dare not disobey the Second Master's orders."

"How dare you stop the old lady of the Bo family? You're too presumptuous." A majestic voice came from not far away.
