Chapter 290 Jiang Yao's Final Struggle

Jiang Yao sat slumped in the dimly lit room, surrounded by an air of despair. Her eyes were hollow, her face etched with resentment and anger. She couldn't fathom how she had ended up in this state. Once, she had been a proud being, possessed of dreams and aspirations, but now, blinded by hatred, she had fallen into an endless darkness.

Jiang Yao recalled her past with Jiang Zhi, and her anger flared up again. She felt that all her misfortunes were caused by Jiang Zhi. If Jiang Zhi hadn't appeared, she and Shen Qingchen might have had a bright future. She hated Jiang Zhi, hated her beauty, kindness, and tolerance, and hated her for taking away her happiness.

"I can't let this go. I'm going to make Jiang Zhi pay!" Jiang Yao gritted her teeth and vowed silently. She knew she was at her wit's end, but she refused to give up. She decided to personally harm Jiang Zhi. Once the thought emerged, it grew like a weed in her mind, unstoppable.

Jiang Yao stood up and began to plan her move. Her first thought was weaponry; a sharp knife would give her an advantage in a crucial moment. She quietly left the room and made her way to a secluded alley. There, some unscrupulous vendors were selling a variety of knives. Jiang Yao selected the sharpest one. She concealed the knife on her person, feeling a surge of anxiety.

After buying the knife, Jiang Yao began stalking Jiang Zhi. She knew Jiang Zhi's daily movements: she'd go out at set times for shopping, walking, or meeting friends. Jiang Yao decided to strike when Jiang Zhi was out alone, to avoid being spotted. Like a ghost, she quietly followed Jiang Zhi, waiting for the right opportunity.

Jiang Yao's heart was filled with conflict and struggle. She knew her actions were wrong, but hatred had already made her lose her mind. She kept telling herself that as long as she could make Jiang Zhi suffer, everything would be worth it. Her eyes flashed with a crazy light, as if she could already see the scene of Jiang Zhi lying in a pool of blood.

While tracking Jiang Zhi, Jiang Yao encountered some difficulties. Jiang Zhi seemed to sense this, and her movements became more cautious. Sometimes, Jiang Yao lost her target, but she didn't give up. She firmly believed that as long as she persisted, she would find an opportunity.

Jiang Yao began adjusting her strategy. Instead of relying solely on stalking, she began gathering more information about Jiang Zhi. She used various channels to learn about Jiang Zhi's preferences, habits, and frequented places. She even approached Jiang Zhi's friends to extract useful intelligence.

However, Jiang Yao's actions didn't go smoothly. Jiang Zhi's friends were wary of her and unwilling to reveal any information about her. Jiang Yao was frustrated, but she didn't give up. She knew she had to be more cautious and not let anyone discover her plan.

As time went on, Jiang Yao's patience wore thin. She began to grow anxious and irritable, feeling she couldn't wait any longer. She decided to speed up her actions and find an opportunity to strike at Jiang Zhi as soon as possible.

One day, Jiang Yao learned that Jiang Zhi was going out shopping alone. Seeing this as a perfect opportunity, she arrived ahead of time on the road Jiang Zhi would pass. She hid in a corner, nervously waiting for Jiang Zhi to appear. When she saw Jiang Zhi, a strong impulse surged within her. She gripped her knife tightly, ready to rush out at any moment.

Jiang Zhi had no idea that danger was approaching. She was walking leisurely on the road as usual, enjoying the sunshine and breeze. She was in a good mood because her life with Shen Qingchen was getting sweeter and sweeter. She was completely unaware that a pair of hateful eyes were staring at her in the dark.

Jiang Yao watched Jiang Zhi approach, her nervousness and excitement reaching a peak. Her hands trembled slightly, sweat soaking her palms. She mentally encouraged herself, telling herself that she must succeed. When Jiang Zhi reached her hiding place, Jiang Yao took a deep breath and rushed out.

"It's all you who stole my happiness!" Jiang Yao yelled, brandishing the knife in her hand and lunging at Jiang Zhi. Startled by the sudden attack, Jiang Zhi instinctively took a few steps back. But she quickly calmed down, knowing she couldn't panic and had to find a way to deal with the danger.

Jiang Zhi looked at the frantic Jiang Yao, her heart filled with shock and helplessness. She didn't understand why Jiang Yao was so stubborn, why she couldn't let go of her hatred and start a new life. She tried to persuade Jiang Yao, but Jiang Yao wouldn't listen. Her eyes were filled with hatred and anger, and she just wanted Jiang Zhi to pay the price.

Jiang Zhi used her agility to dodge Jiang Yao's attacks. She dodged left and right, deftly making Jiang Yao's blade miss again and again. Jiang Yao became even more frantic, waving her blade continuously and roaring angrily. Jiang Zhi knew she couldn't keep dodging like this; she had to find a way to subdue Jiang Yao.

Just as Jiang Zhi was pondering a countermeasure, Jiang Yao suddenly sprang forward, thrusting her knife straight at her. Jiang Zhi had no time to dodge, so she could only block with her arm. The sharp blade sliced through her clothes, leaving a shallow wound on her arm. Jiang Zhi felt a pang of pain, but she didn't flinch. She seized the opportunity to grab Jiang Yao's wrist, attempting to wrest the knife from her hand.

Jiang Yao struggled desperately, unwilling to relinquish her weapon. She twisted her body vigorously, trying to break free from Jiang Zhi's grip. Jiang Zhi held Jiang Yao's wrist tightly, not daring to let go. She knew the consequences would be disastrous if she let Jiang Yao break free.

The two engaged in a fierce fight on the street. Passersby, frightened by the scene, ducked for cover. Some pulled out their phones to call the police, while others watched from a distance, daring not to approach. Jiang Zhi and Jiang Yao weaved through the crowd, their faces etched with tension and exhaustion.
