Jiang Zhi had been feeling a vague sense of unease for some time. This unease was like a dark cloud hanging over her heart, lingering. She couldn't explain where this feeling came from, but she just felt that something was about to happen.
That day, sunlight filtered through thin clouds, illuminating the earth with a silvery glow. Jiang Zhi, observing the fine weather outside, decided to go shopping to relax her frayed nerves. She dressed meticulously, wearing a simple yet elegant white dress, her long hair flowing down her shoulders, silky smooth. She smiled at herself in the mirror, trying to dispel the uneasiness within.
Jiang Zhi walked out of the house, a gentle breeze caressing her cheeks, bringing a breath of fresh air. She took a deep breath, taking in the beauty of nature. The streets were bustling with people and traffic, a scene of bustling activity. Jiang Zhi strolled along the streets, admiring the scenery, and her mood gradually became relaxed.
She arrived at a large shopping mall, which was overflowing with goods. Jiang Zhi walked into a fashionable clothing store and began to choose clothes she liked. She picked up a light blue shirt and held it in front of her, imagining how she would look in it. Just then, she suddenly felt a strong gaze fixed on her. She raised her head and looked around, but found nothing unusual. Jiang Zhi's uneasiness once again surged in her heart, and she decided to finish her shopping and go home as soon as possible.
Jiang Zhi sped up her shopping. She picked up a few clothes and some daily necessities, then went to the checkout counter to pay. When she walked out of the shopping mall, the feeling of being watched came back. Jiang Zhi quickened her pace. She wanted to get home as soon as possible and get back to Shen Qingchen. She took out her mobile phone and sent a message to Shen Qingchen, telling him that she was on her way home.
Just as Jiang Zhi reached the entrance of a secluded alley, Jiang Yao suddenly rushed out from around the corner. Her eyes were filled with madness and hatred, and she held a sharp knife in her hand, shouting, "It's all you who stole my happiness!" Jiang Zhi was startled by this sudden attack. Her heart skipped a beat, and her face turned pale. She instinctively took a few steps back, staring at Jiang Yao in horror.
Jiang Yao approached Jiang Zhi step by step, a ferocious smile on her face. "Today, I will make you pay the price!" Jiang Zhi tried to calm herself down. She knew she couldn't panic now, otherwise she would only put herself in greater danger. Her mind raced, thinking of a way to respond.
"Jiang Yao, calm down!" Jiang Zhi tried to persuade Jiang Yao to put down the knife. "We can talk it out. There's no need to do this." But Jiang Yao turned a deaf ear to Jiang Zhi's words and continued to approach Jiang Zhi. "Talk? What's there to talk about? You took everything from me. I won't let you go!"
Jiang Zhi watched Jiang Yao's frenzy, feeling helpless and sad. She couldn't understand why Jiang Yao was so stubborn, why she couldn't let go of her hatred and start a new life. "Jiang Yao, this will lead to nothing. You've already made so many mistakes. Don't make them again," Jiang Zhi continued to persuade Jiang Yao.
Jiang Yao burst into laughter. "Mistake? I'm not wrong! It was you who stole my happiness! I'm going to make you feel the pain of losing everything!" Jiang Yao raised her knife and stabbed at Jiang Zhi. Jiang Zhi nimbly dodged Jiang Yao's attack. Her heart was filled with anxiety and fear, but she knew she couldn't retreat.
Jiang Yao's attack missed, irritating her even further. She raised her knife again and lunged at Jiang Zhi. Jiang Zhi repeatedly dodged Jiang Yao's attacks, her agility preventing her from succeeding. However, Jiang Yao's attacks grew increasingly frenzied, and Jiang Zhi gradually began to feel the strain.
While dodging Jiang Yao's attacks, Jiang Zhi's mind kept replaying the good times she had with Shen Qingchen. She knew she couldn't let Jiang Yao ruin their happiness; she had to protect herself and their love. Jiang Zhi's eyes grew firm, and she decided to find a chance to strike back at Jiang Yao.
Just as Jiang Yao was about to pounce on Jiang Zhi again, Jiang Zhi suddenly turned sideways and kicked Jiang Yao in the wrist. The knife in Jiang Yao's hand fell to the ground with a crisp sound. Jiang Yao was stunned for a moment, then pounced on Jiang Zhi frantically again. Jiang Zhi took the opportunity to pick up the knife on the ground and pointed it at Jiang Yao: "Jiang Yao, don't be so stubborn! Your actions will only put you in deeper trouble."
Jiang Yao looked at the knife in Jiang Zhi's hand, a flicker of fear in her eyes. But soon, her madness took over again: "I'm not afraid! I will make you pay the price today!" Jiang Yao said, and rushed towards Jiang Zhi again. Jiang Zhi sighed helplessly, knowing that Jiang Yao had completely lost her mind and that nothing she said now would be of any use.
Just as Jiang Zhi and Jiang Yao were at a stalemate, footsteps were heard in the distance. Jiang Zhi was delighted, knowing that the bodyguards had heard the noise and rushed over. Jiang Yao also heard the footsteps, and her face became even more ferocious. "Even if you come, what can you do? I will kill you today!"
The bodyguards quickly arrived at the scene. Seeing the confrontation between Jiang Zhi and Jiang Yao, they immediately rushed over. Together, they subdued Jiang Yao and snatched the knife from her hand. Jiang Zhi looked at the frantic Jiang Yao with a touch of pity. She knew that Jiang Yao had become like this out of jealousy, but she couldn't let Jiang Yao hurt her either.
Jiang Zhi slowly walked over to Jiang Yao's side, watching her being restrained by the bodyguards, her heart filled with emotion. She recalled her past tolerance for Jiang Yao, and how she had urged her to let go of her hatred and start a new life. But Jiang Yao hadn't cherished this opportunity, instead stubbornly embarking on a wrong path.
