Chapter 293 Subduing Jiang Yao

Jiang Zhi went shopping alone. The sunlight bathed the streets, but it couldn't dispel the lingering unease in her heart. Ever since she sensed the approaching danger, she had remained on high alert. Today, the streets seemed busier than usual, bustling with people. Jiang Zhi paused in front of a boutique, gazing at the exquisite ornaments in the window, her mind wandering.

Suddenly, a dark figure rushed out of the crowd at breakneck speed. Before Jiang Zhi could react, Jiang Yao, knife in hand, lunged at her with a ferocious expression, shouting, "It's all your fault! You stole my happiness!" Her voice, filled with anger and despair, was particularly harsh in the bustling street.

Jiang Zhi was startled by the sudden attack, her heart lurching. But years of experience had calmed her down quickly, and her body reacted instinctively. She nimbly dodged to the side, avoiding Jiang Yao's first strike. Jiang Yao's eyes were filled with frenzy as she swung her knife again, slashing at Jiang Zhi. Jiang Zhi dodged Jiang Yao's attacks, searching for a chance to escape.

At this moment, the surrounding crowd let out terrified screams and fled in all directions. The street was suddenly in chaos. Some people hid in shops, while others watched the terrifying attack from afar. Jiang Zhi's heart was filled with tension and fear, but she knew she couldn't panic. She had to remain calm to deal with the crisis at hand.

Jiang Yao's attacks intensified, seemingly losing her mind and completely oblivious to her surroundings. Jiang Zhi repeatedly dodged Jiang Yao's blade, her body nimbly moving like a nimble cheetah. Her mind raced through countermeasures, knowing she couldn't keep dodging like this. She had to find a way to subdue Jiang Yao.

Just as Jiang Zhi was in trouble, she suddenly heard a burst of hurried footsteps. She was delighted, knowing that the bodyguards had heard the noise and rushed over. Sure enough, several bodyguards in black suits rushed over quickly, each of them agile and with a firm look in their eyes.

The bodyguards immediately surrounded Jiang Yao, trying to wrest the knife from her hand. Seeing the bodyguards appear, Jiang Yao waved her knife even more frantically, trying to keep them away. The bodyguards approached Jiang Yao cautiously, looking for an opportunity. One of the bodyguards took advantage of Jiang Yao's unpreparedness, rushed forward, and grabbed her wrist. Jiang Yao struggled, trying to break free from the bodyguard's grip, but the bodyguard was very strong and held her wrist tightly.

The other bodyguards also stepped forward and together they wrestled the knife from Jiang Yao's hand. Jiang Yao struggled unwillingly, cursing Jiang Zhi non-stop. Jiang Zhi looked at the frantic Jiang Yao and felt a little pity for her. She knew Jiang Yao was acting like this out of jealousy, but she couldn't let Jiang Yao hurt her either.

Jiang Zhi walked over, looked into Jiang Yao's eyes filled with hatred, and sighed softly. "Jiang Yao, why can't you let go of your hatred? I once gave you a chance, hoping you could start a new life, but you refused to change." Jiang Zhi's voice was filled with helplessness and regret.

Jiang Yao glared at Jiang Zhi fiercely, the hatred in her eyes undiminished. "What do you know? You stole my happiness. I won't let you go!" Jiang Yao's voice was hoarse and sharp, like the roar of a wounded beast.

Jiang Zhi shook his head. "Jiang Yao, I didn't take away your happiness. It was you who fell into the vortex of hatred and couldn't extricate yourself. Doing this will only make yourself more miserable." Jiang Zhi's words did not calm Jiang Yao down. She was still struggling, trying to break free from the bodyguard's control.

The bodyguards held Jiang Yao tightly, not allowing her any chance to escape. Their faces were expressionless, only filled with unwavering determination. They knew their duty was to protect Jiang Zhi and not let Jiang Yao hurt her again.

Jiang Zhi looked at Jiang Yao, feeling a surge of emotion. She had once thought she could use tolerance to influence Jiang Yao, allowing her to let go of her hatred and start a new life. But now it seemed that her idea was too naive. Jiang Yao had been blinded by hatred and could not see the kindness and tolerance of others.

Jiang Zhi turned to the bodyguards and said, "Hand her over to the police. She needs to be punished by law. Perhaps only in this way can she truly recognize her mistakes." The bodyguards nodded, and they took Jiang Yao to the nearby police station.

Jiang Zhi watched them depart, a heavy weight finally falling from her heart. She knew the crisis was finally over. But her heart didn't feel lightened, but rather heavy. She felt sorry for Jiang Yao, someone who could have had a bright future, but who had been led down the wrong path by jealousy and hatred.

Jiang Zhi stood alone on the street, the sun shining on her body, but it couldn't warm the chill in her heart. She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. She knew that she and Shen Qingchen still had a long way to go. They couldn't be defeated by this crisis and had to face the future life with strength.

Just as Jiang Zhi was lost in thought, she suddenly heard a familiar voice. "Jiang Zhi!" She looked up and saw Shen Qingchen running towards her anxiously. Shen Qingchen's face was full of concern and worry, and he hugged Jiang Zhi tightly in his arms.

"Are you okay? I heard that Jiang Yao attacked you, and I was worried to death." Shen Qingchen's voice trembled a little. He hugged Jiang Zhi tightly, as if afraid that she would be hurt again.

Jiang Zhi felt Shen Qingchen's warmth and care, and the fear and uneasiness in her heart gradually dissipated. She patted Shen Qingchen's back gently and said, "I'm fine. The bodyguards arrived in time and subdued Jiang Yao."

Shen Qingchen let go of Jiang Zhi and carefully checked her body. After making sure that she was not injured, she breathed a sigh of relief. "Fortunately, you are okay, otherwise I really don't know what to do." Shen Qingchen's eyes were full of love and heartache.
