Chapter 613 Jiang Yao's Terror

Jiang Yao saw Jiang Zhi break through the assassins' encirclement and rush towards her like a flash of lightning. At that moment, her heart felt as if it were being tightly grasped by an invisible hand, and fear instantly spread throughout her body. Her eyes widened, staring at the approaching Jiang Zhi, her feet felt like they were nailed to the ground, unable to move an inch.

She had never imagined that all her meticulous planning, the well-trained assassins she had dispatched, the ingenious traps she had set, would be powerless to stop Jiang Zhi. Jiang Yao's mind was in turmoil. The elation she had felt at securing victory vanished in an instant, leaving only panic and fear. Her face turned pale as paper, her lips trembling slightly. She tried to speak, but fear choked her throat, and no sound came out.

She began frantically directing the assassins to reorganize their defenses, her voice trembling with a hint of despair. "Stop her! Stop her now! Don't let her get to me!" However, the assassins were already overwhelmed by Jiang Zhi's fierce attacks. Some assassins, struck by Jiang Zhi's fierce punches and kicks, fell to the ground groaning in pain; others were trapped by the obstacles Jiang Zhi had cleverly created by using the surrounding environment, struggling to escape.

Jiang Yao watched helplessly as the fear within her grew like wild weeds. She knew that if she fell into Jiang Zhi's hands, she would suffer a disastrous fate. A hint of desperate pleading lingered in her eyes, as if she were hoping for a miracle to free her from this desperate situation. Her body began to involuntarily recoil, her steps stumbling, and she nearly fell.

Jiang Zhi's eyes burned with rage, like a sharp blade, piercing Jiang Yao. Each step closer felt like a tremendous force, overwhelming Jiang Yao with a powerful sense of oppression. Jiang Yao's breathing became rapid and erratic, her heartbeat rumbling like thunder in her ears. She could clearly feel the shadow of death looming over her.

At that moment, the air around them seemed to freeze, leaving only the sound of Jiang Zhi's determined footsteps and Jiang Yao's increasingly heavy breathing. Jiang Yao's back collided with a cold pillar, leaving her with nowhere to retreat. Her hands subconsciously groped behind her, trying to find a little support, or something to protect herself, but she found nothing.

Jiang Zhi stopped a few steps away from Jiang Yao. Her eyes were cold and determined, as if she were observing a criminal about to be sentenced to death. Jiang Yao mustered her courage and said in a trembling voice, "Jiang Zhi, you... you can't kill me. Killing me won't end well for you." Jiang Zhi snorted coldly, "You've caused me so much pain and danger, and now you're begging for mercy?" Jiang Yao's tears welled up in her eyes. She tried to fight for a last ditch effort, hoping to survive. "I... I know I was wrong. I can make it up to you. I can help you deal with the mysterious organization. All you have to do is let me go..."

Jiang Zhi frowned slightly, a flicker of hesitation passing through her mind. She truly longed to execute Jiang Yao right there and then, to avenge everything she and her child had endured. But Jiang Yao's mention of helping to combat the mysterious organization forced her to reconsider. For a brief moment, Jiang Yao nervously watched Jiang Zhi's expression, hoping to detect a hint of reassurance.

However, Jiang Zhi quickly regained his resolve: "Do you think I'll believe you? Your crimes are unforgivable." Jiang Yao's face paled even further, knowing her plea for mercy would be futile. But she remained steadfast, continuing: "I'm sincere. I can tell you everything I know about the mysterious organization: their base, their plans..."

Jiang Zhi's heart stirred. She knew the mysterious organization was vast and unpredictable. If Jiang Yao could truly provide valuable intelligence, it would be a significant aid in their complete destruction. But she also worried that this was Jiang Yao's stalling tactic. If she let her go, it would surely lead to more trouble in the future. Amidst this inner struggle and consideration, Jiang Zhi's expression grew more complex. She stared intently at Jiang Yao, trying to discern the truth in her words.

Jiang Yao sensed Jiang Zhi's hesitation, and a glimmer of hope ignited in her heart. She desperately tried to show her sincerity, "I can swear that everything I said is true. I have no other choice. I don't want to die..." Jiang Zhi was silent for a moment, then slowly said, "You'd better not lie to me, otherwise you will regret why you didn't die today." Jiang Yao nodded repeatedly as if she had been granted amnesty, "I won't lie to you. I will cooperate with you."

But Jiang Zhi didn't let her guard down. She knew Jiang Yao was cunning, and even if she acted so submissive now, she couldn't let her guard down. She decided to temporarily restrain Jiang Yao and then slowly verify what she said. Jiang Zhi stepped forward and reached out to grab Jiang Yao's arm. Jiang Yao's body trembled slightly, and she didn't dare to resist. Jiang Zhi said coldly, "Follow me. If you dare to play any tricks, I will make you pay a heavy price." Jiang Yao followed Jiang Zhi submissively, a trace of fear and uneasiness still lingering in her eyes.

As Jiang Yao left, Jiang Zhi kept an eye on her surroundings while pondering her next plan. She knew the fight against the mysterious organization had just begun, and Jiang Yao would become a crucial pawn in this struggle. She had to wield this pawn with care, while also guarding against Jiang Yao's counterattack. Jiang Zhi's eyes revealed a resolute determination. No matter how many difficulties and obstacles lay ahead, she would not retreat. She was determined to seek justice for herself, her family, and those persecuted by the mysterious organization.

By this time, Jiang Zhi's allies had gradually finished their fight and gathered around. They looked at Jiang Yao, who was being held captive by Jiang Zhi, their eyes filled with both triumph and a hint of doubt about Jiang Zhi's decision. Jiang Zhi briefly explained the situation to them, and the allies pledged their cooperation, jointly guarding Jiang Yao to prevent her from escaping or informing the mysterious organization.
