After setting the trap, Jiang Zhi hid in a corner, waiting quietly. In her hand, she tightly grasped a homemade weapon, which she made from a sharp piece of metal and a wooden stick found in the secret room. Although simple, it could be used in a critical moment.
Time passed minute by minute as Jiang Zhi waited patiently in the secret room. Her ear pressed against the wall, listening for any noise outside. Suddenly, she heard footsteps. The footsteps were getting closer, and she knew someone was coming.
Her heartbeat quickened rapidly, and she gripped her weapon tightly, ready to fight at any moment. The footsteps stopped at the door of the secret room, and then she heard the sound of someone turning the doorknob.
Jiang Zhi's eyes were fixed on the door, her body leaning forward slightly, ready to attack. With a creak, the door slowly opened. A member of the mysterious organization walked in cautiously. He scanned the secret room with vigilance, but couldn't find Jiang Zhi's hiding place.
Just as he was about to step further into the secret room, he suddenly stepped on an iron nail in the floor. His foot was pierced by the nail, and he let out a scream. He lost his balance and fell forward. As he fell, the weight on the door handle fell with a loud crash.
Jiang Zhi heard the noise and immediately dodged from the corner. She took advantage of the moment when the mysterious organization member fell to the ground and had no time to react, and quickly rushed over and stabbed his throat with the weapon in her hand. The mysterious organization member's eyes widened. He wanted to resist, but it was too late. His throat was pierced by Jiang Zhi's weapon, blood spurted out, and his body twitched a few times before he stopped moving.
After killing the mysterious organization member, Jiang Zhi quickly searched his body and found a pistol and some ammunition. She put the pistol and ammunition away and then walked out of the secret room carefully.
She walked out of the basement and found the factory much quieter. She didn't know where the members of the mysterious organization had gone, but she knew she had to leave as soon as possible. She walked towards the other exit of the factory, keeping a vigilant eye on her surroundings.
When she reached the exit, she saw that the streets outside had returned to calm. She took a deep breath and walked out of the factory. She knew that although she had temporarily escaped danger, Jiang Yao and the mysterious organization would not give up. She had to find allies quickly and work together to develop a countermeasure. Only then could she completely defeat Jiang Yao and the mysterious organization and create a safe environment for herself and her family.
