Chapter 612 Jiang Zhi - Dilemma and Breakthrough

Jiang Zhi looked at Jiang Yao, her anger undimmed by her plea for mercy. She recalled the pain and suffering she had endured, and the allies she had persecuted, and the hatred within her surged like a raging river.

"The crime you committed is unforgivable." Jiang Zhi said through gritted teeth, "You must pay for what you did." Her hands tightly grasped Jiang Yao's collar, and her nails dug deep into Jiang Yao's skin.

Jiang Yao's body trembled constantly. She knew she was in a desperate situation. Her eyes were filled with despair, as if she saw her own doom approaching.

Just as Jiang Zhi was about to punish Jiang Yao further, she heard footsteps from both ends of the alley. Startled, Jiang Zhi realized it might be Jiang Yao's reinforcements. She quickly pulled Jiang Yao to her side, using her as a hostage, and warily watched both ends of the alley.

A moment later, a group of members of a mysterious organization appeared at both ends of the alley. They were holding weapons and looking at Jiang Zhi and Jiang Yao with cold eyes. The man in the lead sneered and said, "Jiang Zhi, let Jiang Yao go, or you won't leave here alive today."

Jiang Zhi knew he was caught in a dilemma. If he let Jiang Yao go, he would lose his only bargaining chip and would likely be killed by these people. But if he didn't let Jiang Yao go, if they attacked, both he and Jiang Yao would likely die in this narrow alley.

Her mind raced, thinking of a plan. She quietly observed her surroundings, searching for a possible escape route. Suddenly, she spotted a vent on the wall on one side of the alley. Although small, it might be her only chance.

Jiang Zhi took a deep breath and decided to take a chance. She held onto Jiang Yao tightly and moved toward the vent. Seeing Jiang Zhi's actions, the members of the mysterious organization raised their weapons, ready to attack.

Just as they were about to shoot, Jiang Zhi pushed Jiang Yao towards the mysterious organization's members. Then, using the momentum, she leaped towards the vent. Her body arced through the air and successfully entered the vent.

The members of the mysterious organization were caught off guard by Jiang Zhi's sudden action. They all hid from Jiang Yao, and the alley was plunged into chaos. By the time they reacted, Jiang Zhi had disappeared into the vent.

Jiang Zhi crawled quickly through the ventilation duct, which was filled with a pungent smell. Dust and dirt kept falling on her. But she didn't care about these things. She only wanted to escape from this dangerous place as soon as possible.

After a long journey through the ventilation ducts, she finally found an exit. She crawled out and found herself inside an abandoned factory. A thick fog filled the air, making visibility very low. Jiang Zhi cautiously groped her way through the factory, knowing she was still in danger and needed to find a way out as soon as possible.

She searched for an exit throughout the factory, keeping a vigilant eye on her surroundings. Suddenly, she heard the sound of footsteps. She immediately hid in a corner, holding her breath, waiting for the footsteps to approach.

Soon, a member of a mysterious organization appeared in her sight. Jiang Zhi took advantage of his inattention and quietly slipped out from the corner. With lightning speed, she covered his mouth and then kneed him in the back, subduing him.

"Tell me, where is the exit?" Jiang Zhi asked in a low voice.

The mysterious organization member struggled a few times, but under Jiang Zhi's powerful strength, he could not move. He pointed in a direction helplessly.

Jiang Zhi looked in the direction he pointed and saw a dilapidated door. She was delighted and immediately ran towards the door.

Just as she was about to run to the gate, it suddenly opened slowly and a group of members of a mysterious organization appeared at the door. When they saw Jiang Zhi, they immediately raised their weapons and prepared to shoot.

Jiang Zhi was startled and quickly turned around and ran in the other direction. Members of the mysterious organization were chasing her closely, and bullets whizzed past her.

Jiang Zhi fled around the factory, using the machines and equipment inside as cover to avoid the bullets. Her heart was filled with anxiety and helplessness. She knew that she had to find a safe place as soon as possible, otherwise she would really die here today.

While running away, Jiang Zhi discovered an entrance to the basement. Without hesitation, she immediately ran towards the basement. She rushed down the stairs into the basement and slammed the basement door shut.

The basement was dark, damp, and filled with a foul odor. Jiang Zhi searched for an exit or a hiding place. Suddenly, she found a secret door in the corner of the basement. She walked over, pushed it open, and found a small secret room inside.

Jiang Zhi hid in the secret room and gently closed the door. She leaned against the wall, breathing heavily. Her body was exhausted, but her mind was still highly tense. She knew she was safe for the time being, but she had to find a way to leave.

She rested in the chamber for a while, then began to think about her next plan. She realized that she couldn't hide here forever and had to take the initiative to escape the predicament. She decided to use the environment in the chamber to set a trap and wait for the members of the mysterious organization to take the bait.

Jiang Zhi busied herself in the secret room, using the miscellaneous items she found to create some simple traps. She tied a rope to the doorknob and attached a heavy object to the other end. Whenever someone opened the door, the weight would fall, making a noise to alert her to the entrance. She also scattered some nails on the floor, making it easy for anyone entering to step on them and fall.
