The kitchen was steaming hot, filled with the aroma of food. Jiang Zhi instructed his daughter on how to cut vegetables into even pieces. The daughter took her learning seriously, her tiny hands tightly gripping the knife as she sliced carefully. Occasionally, when she made a mistake, she would stick out her tongue, drawing laughter from everyone. The family gathered around the table, looking at the delicious food, feeling a sense of accomplishment.
Under the warm light, the family ate and chatted, sharing the joy and harvest of the day. Jiang Zhi looked at Shen Qingchen and the children, and a warm current surged in her heart.
