Extra 2
Extra 2: Parent-child Tea Class
When Gu Niancha was three years old, she developed a strong interest in tea.
She often imitated her parents, holding a small toy tea set and "making tea" in a realistic way. Seeing how much their daughter loved tea, Shen Qingci and Gu Yanchen decided to give her a "parent-child tea class."
Every Sunday afternoon, after the teahouse closes, they will place a set of mini tea sets in the main hall and start teaching Gu Niancha.
Shen Qingci was responsible for teaching her about tea: "Niannian, look, this is green tea, it's green in color and smells fragrant; this is black tea, it's red in color and tastes sweet."
Gu Yanchen was responsible for teaching her the basic steps of brewing tea: "Niannian, to make tea, you must first warm the cup, then put the tea leaves in, and then pour the water. Be gentle and slow."
Gu Niancha was a serious learner. Although her movements were still clumsy and she often spilled the tea, she never gave up. Every time she made a cup of tea, she would carefully offer it to her parents: "Dad, Mom, try the tea I made."
Shen Qingci and Gu Yanchen drank the tea their daughter had brewed, their hearts sweeter than honey. The tea soup might not be perfect, but it was filled with their daughter's love.
Once, an old customer came to the teahouse and saw Gu Niancha learning how to make tea. He smiled and said, "This little guy has really inherited your legacy. He will definitely be a master of tea art in the future."
Gu Niancha looked up and said proudly, "I want to be like my mother and run our teahouse well!"
Shen Qingci and Gu Yanchen smiled at each other, their eyes full of relief and anticipation.
