(7 Fresh Coins) Chapter 14 (Part 1): A Bizarre Enigma

As Shawn's car drove into the Xu family's gate, Si Qiang pulled over to the side of the road, staring intently at the vehicle until it was completely out of sight. Shawn had never come at this time before, when he was still here. Her mind began to race with uncontrollable thoughts: Did that man often come here at night? What was their relationship? What were they doing now?

Si Qiang sat quietly, unconsciously taking out a cigarette and putting it in his mouth. After a moment, white smoke began to fill the car. He casually rolled down the window and turned to look out. This was the suburbs, and at night, apart from the chirping of insects and frogs, there was hardly any human sound.

In the silence, his phone suddenly rang. Glancing at the screen, he saw it was Yao Yinxiang. He pressed the answer button: "Hello? Father..."

After exchanging only a few words, he hung up the phone with a gloomy face, glanced at the familiar building one last time, then turned his car around and sped away.

"So, you're saying you're already divorced?" Having rushed back to California overnight, not for anything else but for the woman before her with her calm expression, Si Qiang suppressed her anger and asked.

Yao Jinghan didn't even look up, simply saying, "Yes, it's just not suitable."

Last night, she suddenly returned to the Yao family home. Yao Yinxiang initially thought she was just visiting, but unexpectedly, she told him that she had divorced Antonio and would not be returning to Italy. The marriage alliance with the Francisco family was basically arranged by Si Qiang, which Yao Yinxiang saw as a win-win situation. However, things didn't go as planned. First, the bride disappeared at Si Qiang's wedding and hasn't been heard from since; now this has happened! Yao Yinxiang was so angry that he had a seizure. When he finally calmed down, he had no choice but to call his son and ask him to come home.

The two remained silent for a while until Yao Yinxiang suddenly pushed the door open and came in. Looking at the weariness on Si Qiang's face, he sighed and shook his head: "You should go and rest first."

Si Qiang knew he wouldn't get anything out of him now, so after thinking for a moment, he waved his hand and said, "I'm going back now." When he said "going back," he naturally meant returning to his private villa.

He noticed that Yao Yinxiang looked exhausted, and continued, "Father, I will handle this matter immediately. Please rest."

As she drove out, a cold smile finally appeared on Si Qiang's usually icy face. So the so-called agreement was actually a divorce agreement! In just two months, he'd managed to get a woman who was deeply in love with him to sign a divorce agreement. Antonio… he really was a man not to be underestimated.

Ultimately, this matter had nothing to do with Si Qiang, but he was now representing the Yao family and the entire Fuqing gang, so he couldn't ignore it. Most importantly, while he could ignore it, Yao Yinxiang wouldn't let it go so easily. Previously, with Iris's disappearance, he couldn't openly confront the Francisco family due to their power, but Yao Jinghan's situation was like adding fuel to the fire. No matter how cold he was usually, Yao Jinghan was still Yao Yinxiang's biological daughter, and he was determined to get an explanation.

Si Qiang picked up the phone and dialed a number.

“It’s really rare that Calvin would actually call me,” Antonio’s slightly flippant voice came through. “What’s even more rare is that I’m in New York right now, and maybe I can go to California tomorrow.”

"New York?" Si Qiang was taken aback, then realized, "You said you're coming to California tomorrow?"

“Yes, Calvin, so that means we can meet tomorrow.” Antonio made no attempt to hide his excitement.

This man really has a thick skin. Si Qiang frowned, her tone turning cold: "How do you intend to explain that 'agreement'?"

Antonio smiled knowingly: "So that's what it's about. I think we should talk about it when we meet."

After hanging up the phone, Si Qiang frowned even more. Antonio had clearly come prepared; it seemed he also needed to make some preparations.

This trip to New York, while not entirely fruitless, was certainly a failure. The gang's affairs have been rather complicated lately, and just at this juncture, something seemingly minor has occurred. He didn't need to investigate it personally, but he couldn't resist the temptation to see that person.

He eventually returned to this place in disappointment. Si Qiang shook her head with a wry smile and stepped on the gas.

Hearing the busy tone on the phone, Antonio smiled even more broadly. He had just gotten off the plane when he received Si Qiang's call. Although he knew she would definitely contact him, he was still overjoyed. No matter what, he would eventually get that person.

He saw Lance waving in their direction, raised his hand in response, and then strode over.
