(7 Fresh Coins) Chapter 15 (Part 2) A Twist of Fate
As he calmly finished his preparations and lay alone on the cold bed, a terrifying chill seeped into his heart. They had finally come to this—he knew he could never be more desperate. Only the pain inflicted by that person was an unbearable agony.
Despite the immense pain, he finally saw the dawn. However, he never imagined that things would unfold so drastically differently from his expectations. Before he even reached the agreed-upon location, he received a call from Lian Sheng, informing him to change his route and go to another place.
With Si Yan in their hands, it was as if he had his throat gripped. He had no choice but to comply—he couldn't risk his sister's life.
But upon seeing Lian Sheng, he immediately realized he had been tricked. Only Lian Sheng and a few subordinates were there; Xu Qi was nowhere to be seen.
He first scanned the small room, then fixed his gaze on the man sitting there leisurely, his pupils almost shrinking to a point, and said, word by word, "Where is she?"
Lian Sheng smiled slightly, but his rough face did not become more friendly; instead, it looked even more ferocious: "I am very honored to see such an expression on the beautiful Rose's face."
Si Qiang stared at him without saying a word, but his eyes showed that his patience had run out.
"Ah, don't misunderstand, Miss Si is safe..." Lian Sheng suddenly looked up at what was behind him, his eyes flashing, "Look, isn't she right there?"
Si Qiang whirled around, only to be met with the cold barrel of a gun and a beautiful yet venomous face, causing his heart to sink instantly. His beloved younger sister was being held by a subordinate, her tightly closed eyes and pale face indicating her condition—she had likely been injected with some kind of drug.
Seeing him turn around, the beautiful woman smiled and said, "My dear brother, I haven't given you a proper gift yet, and I feel a little guilty as your older sister."
A gift? This is truly a generous gift.
Looking at the key member of the Fuqing gang and his group of subordinates behind Yao Jinghan, Si Qiang slowly revealed a smile. Today, he only brought this one core member here, but he hadn't expected that she was actually part of his sister's faction. Sure enough, to control the situation quickly, one has to take this kind of risk. So, one day he too could become someone else's pawn; this feeling… is really not good.
Si Qiang raised her delicate eyebrows slightly, about to speak, when suddenly a slight numbness ran down the back of her neck. Her body swayed uncontrollably for a few moments before finally collapsing limply to the ground. He struggled to keep his eyelids open, staring at the woman who was getting closer and closer, his eyes filled with a chilling resentment and anger.
Finally, the beautiful yet powerful man fell, and the tense atmosphere instantly eased. Yao Jinghan breathed a slight sigh of relief. This younger brother was incredibly intimidating; dealing with someone like him was truly perilous. If they hadn't already discovered his fatal weakness, they would never have directly turned against Si Qiang.
She slowly stood up, looked up at Lian Sheng who was still sitting steadily, and frowned slightly: "What are you still sitting for? Waiting for him to wake up?"
Lian Sheng made a reassuring gesture and said with a hint of pride, "Don't worry, although this guy has undergone drug resistance training, what I gave him is no ordinary stuff. It'll keep him asleep for a while."
Before Yao Jinghan could say anything more, a loud "bang" echoed as the door, not far from him, crashed to the ground. Startled, she turned around to see a man slowly walking in through the door. The sound of his leather shoes pounding against the door was particularly chilling in the eerie silence.
"Can anyone tell me what's going on?" The man casually glanced at the people in the room and then spoke easily.
Although his tone was incredibly relaxed, it sounded so heavy to everyone present that it made their hearts sink to the bottom.
Because this man is Yan Jun, the renowned leader of the international mercenary group "Blood Cross," codenamed "Blood Red." He is quite handsome and refined, but a scar on his cheek makes his face extremely fierce. Of course, in the databases of any faction, this face represents the same meaning: "Do not be an enemy."
No matter how vivid Lian Sheng and his companions' imaginations were, they never imagined this person would appear in such a setting. Although the Fuqing Gang and Long Ming's power was considerable, they could never have attracted the attention of such a ferocious figure. They couldn't help but look at Si Qiang lying on the ground, a very ominous thought rising in their minds at the same time.
These two...could they be related?
