(7 Fresh Coins) Chapter 3 (Part 1) Violent Love

Si Qiang didn't even glance at him. She used her hand to pry open the door handle and pulled it back, creating a stalemate with the man's hand pressing against the door. Gradually, his strength gained the upper hand, and he managed to open the door a crack. It looked like it was about to be completely pulled open.

Xu Qi knew that, contrary to her somewhat delicate and frail appearance, Si Qiang possessed astonishing strength. He hadn't expected that even with him exerting almost all his strength, she could still gain the upper hand. He had always assumed that he was the one giving in during their relationship, but it turned out that Si Qiang had never been serious with him. In other words, Si Qiang was now no longer willing to back down and was truly determined to end things with him.

Thinking of this, he finally began to feel genuine fear. A dull pain shot through his head, and he slowly released his hand from the door. The force that had been barely maintaining his balance suddenly lost its grip, and Si Qiang was caught off guard, taking a large step back while still holding the doorknob. He quickly regained his footing and turned to look at Xu Qi.

The door was fully opened, and the air from the corridor rushed into the room, like a turbulent lake suddenly having its surface calm broken, stirring up towering waves—Xu Qi finally lost control and twisted his expression, gritting his teeth and venting his pent-up anger at the cold-faced man.

"You're right, we don't need to see each other again. Our relationship was a complete and utter mistake." His voice wasn't loud, yet it was filled with a ferocity Si Qiang had never heard before, like a sharp dagger thrust straight forward, trying with all its might to wound the other. However, this sharp dagger not only pierced the other, but also cut himself—

He had always insisted on keeping his distance from Si Qiang, but now that she had truly shown a clean break, he couldn't accept it at all. Driven to the brink, he stood on the edge of a cliff, coldly examining himself—his true self… an utterly despicable, rotten man. Unable to give her complete love, yet unwilling to let go entirely. Those self-hypnotizing words were no longer necessary. All that talk of restraint, all that talk of practical responsibility, were merely excuses he used to mask his selfish nature—grand, plausible excuses that allowed him to avoid facing the harsh realities while preserving this beautiful love in his heart—but such a cheap deal was impossible!

Tragically, only now was he forced to unveil the veil that had been obscuring him, but it was already too late. How could he, who had been deceiving himself all along, who was so despicable and selfish, have the face to stand here? A chill ran through him, and he slowly lowered his eyes, turning to walk inside.

Si Qiang, who had remained silent from the beginning, suddenly moved. With astonishing speed, he slammed the door shut, grabbed the man with heavy steps, slammed him against the door, and then used his body to hold him in place. Seeing Xu Qi's wide, shocked eyes, he narrowed his eyes and revealed a bloodthirsty smile.

"So, I underestimated you after all." He spoke slowly and deliberately, a cruel smile on his face that added a touch of alluring beauty to his otherwise cold and handsome features. The next second, he raised his right hand and slapped the man he had pinned to the door hard.

Xu Qi's face was turned to the side by his slap. Before he could react, he was hit by a series of slaps that made him see stars, his cheeks went numb, and his mind went blank.

"A mistake?" Si Qiang's eyes were bloodshot, her beautiful face contorted with rage, one hand gripping the man's chin, the other slapping him repeatedly across the face. Her Adam's apple bobbed, her voice hoarse, "Say it again! Say it again!"

His sluggish consciousness finally returned, and Xu Qi instinctively resisted. He reached out and grabbed the other woman's slender wrist, forcefully prying it outwards. His suppressed body also began to struggle, trying to break free from the man's restraints. Although he was in this situation, he also sensed that Si Qiang's condition was quite bad, and if he didn't stop her, he wouldn't be the only one to suffer.

The prey's struggle triggered a deep-seated nerve in Si Qiang's brain. His reason, which had been clouded by anger, gradually returned. He stopped the movement of his right hand, panting heavily, while his left hand still tightly gripped the man's chin. His bloodthirsty eyes, like those of a wild beast, were fixed on the other man.

The other person stopped moving, and Xu Qi immediately raised his voice and shouted, "Wait! Listen to me, Rose!"

Upon hearing the word "Rose," the madness in Si Qiang's eyes gradually faded, and her brown pupils regained their previous clarity, but she refused to loosen her grip in the slightest.

Seeing that he seemed to have calmed down a bit, Xu Qi breathed a slight sigh of relief; Si Qiang's behavior just now had been really off. Suddenly, a bad thought flashed through his mind, which had been slowed down by a bunch of things. His expression changed drastically: "You've taken drugs?"
