Jiang Hao originally thought that the guests around him would stand up for him when they heard that Lin Qingtong was infertile, but as soon as Lin Qingtong made this statement, Mrs. Chen took the lead in supporting Lin Qingtong.
"That's right. It's better to be free sooner than to suffer your whole life. Your Jiang family isn't exactly a big shot, so why do you have to make such a fuss?"
With Mrs. Chen taking the lead, everyone spoke up to support Lin Qingtong.
Jiang Yutang was too ashamed to stay any longer, so she shook her head and left.
Seeing that he was about to be laughed at by everyone, Jiang Hao looked to Shen Tinghe next to him for help.
"Uncle, my mother was so angry with Lin Qingtong that she fainted. You have to say something for me."
Shen Tinghe stood there with one hand in his pocket, his eyes cold and languid.
"What do you want me to say? Are you suggesting that the Jiang family's banquet was undignified and that they are unreliable in their work?"
"You'd better apologize to Lin Qingtong as soon as possible."
Jiang Hao felt a wave of dizziness. He was being asked to apologize to Lin Qingtong. How could he possibly do that? He would be utterly humiliated.
He was about to faint, wanting to escape the bloodshed. Just as he was about to pass out, Shen Tinghe waved his hand and several bodyguards grabbed Jiang Hao, preventing him from collapsing.
Shen Tinghe's dark pupils were filled with coldness as he offered a curt apology.
There was nothing Jiang Hao could do but obediently apologize in front of Shen Tinghe.
"Lin Qingtong, I'm sorry, I did something wrong, and I apologize to you here."
After apologizing, he looked at Shen Tinghe and asked cautiously, "Uncle, I was just confused for a moment. This is just a trivial matter at home and has nothing to do with the company. Please don't take it to heart."
He still cares a lot about Shen Tinghe's investment.
