Chapter 113 Would you forgive the person who abandoned you?

Jiang Yimian rubbed her temples. "Busy."

Bo Jinzhou lay on the hospital bed, his face pale, his black hair hanging loosely down, unlike his usual style of combing it up and looking like a business elite.

He lost a lot of weight. His face was already narrow, and he had lost at least seven or eight pounds. He looked unhealthy and weak.

Her lips were pale, her lips pursed, and she tried to steady her voice, "Then I'll go back to China to find you tomorrow. I can help you."

"Need not."

His words were ruthlessly rejected, which made his expression even more broken.

"I'll go back now."

He stubbornly continued speaking, already reaching out to lift the blanket. Old Mrs. Pei was startled and hurriedly tried to stop him, saying, "You can't get out of bed yet. The doctor said you can't move around freely since you just woke up."

Jiang Yimian naturally heard what Old Madam Pei said. She said, "Bo Jinzhou, you should focus on getting better first. We'll talk again when you're back."

Bo Jinzhou's eyes were dark and deep, his voice weak and trembling: "What did you say? What do you want to talk to me about?"

“I’ll go back now. There are so many things going on at the Jiang family that you can’t handle on your own. If I go back and help you, those who oppose you will finally shut up.”

Grandma Pei: "No, you're not fully recovered yet, you can't fly."

"Grandma, I can."

He was shot because of himself, and if something happened to her, the Pei family probably wouldn't let him off the hook.

"You should focus on recovering first. There's too much going on at the company; I can't make it there in time."

The wound was still throbbing, the pain spreading slowly through his nerves to his heart, yet he still said, "I'll go back and help you."

"How can you help me when you're injured like this? If you really want to help me, then get well soon."

Bo Jinzhou seemed somewhat appeased by these words and stopped insisting on taking them back. "Then, can you give me a video call every day?"

Grandma Pei closed her eyes, her lips trembling with anger, unable to utter a word.

She raised her hand, signaling the maid to push her out for some peace and quiet.

Pei Xin, who had just arrived from the hospital, happened to see the old lady coming out and went up to ask, "Grandma, how is Brother Jinzhou?"

Old Mrs. Pei's face was very ugly. "Just like his mother, brainless!"

Pei Xin?

She stuck her head inside. On the hospital bed, Bo Jinzhou leaned weakly against the bed, his face pale and powerless, his expression helpless and fearful.

It even had a pleading look on its face, like a wounded wolfhound.

Pei Xin frowned, lifted her foot and walked inside. Jiang Yimian had already hung up the phone. Bo Jinzhou looked dazed, like a child who couldn't find his way home.

"Brother Jinzhou, can't you be a little more sensible? Jiang Yimian doesn't care about you at all, and you're still trying to get close to her. Isn't that just throwing yourself at her?"

Bo Jinzhou's voice was cold, "Don't interfere in our marital affairs."

"What husband and wife? She never considered herself your wife. She left as soon as you came out of the operating room, before you were even out of danger. She didn't even ask about you when you woke up, and she didn't even come to see you. She's a bad woman. Why are you still thinking about her?"

Bo Jinzhou's lifeless eyes instantly sharpened, as if covered with a layer of ice shards. "Shut up."

Pei Xin stomped her foot, looked at him with disappointment, and turned to leave the ward.

Pei Yan could tell what had happened just by looking at his sister and grandmother sulking.

When he entered the ward, he saw Bo Jinzhou staring blankly at his phone, not eating any of his porridge, looking very dejected.

Pei Yan gestured for Song Zhou to leave, and Song Zhou nodded and gently closed the door.

Pei Yan pulled up a chair and sat down. "The doctor said your recovery ability is amazing, but if you continue to live like this, even an iron body won't recover. When the Jiang family has completely overcome the crisis, Jiang Yimian will be the first one to leave you."

These words must have touched a nerve, because Bo Jinzhou's face turned cold.

"Actually, she does have feelings for you. You should have a good talk with her."

"But you have to get your body back in good shape first. If you keep ruining it like this, you'll suffer long-term consequences and illnesses will accompany you for the rest of your life."

His words seemed to have some effect, as Bo Jinzhou cooperated well with the doctor's treatment.

Another half month passed. Jiang Yimian was still very busy during this time, but she would still take some time to call him.

But it was mostly Bo Jinzhou who was speaking.

After learning that his injury was almost healed, Jiang Yimian rarely called him anymore.

Using being busy as an excuse to get by.

Her office is now renovated, with a minimalist style and some beautiful green plants, but she doesn't have time to take care of them; it's her assistant, Lu Xinxin, who does all the looking after.

That day, after she finished her meeting and returned to her office, Han Feng was sitting in her office chair waiting for her.

Seeing her arrive, Han Feng stood up, grinning and opening his arms: "Mianmian, are you done with the meeting?"

Jiang Yimian forced a smile and gave him a light hug. "Brother Han Feng, you're here."

Han Feng looked her over. "You've lost weight. Have you been eating poorly lately?"

Jiang Yimian smiled, "I'm so busy that I sometimes forget to eat, but it's very fulfilling."

Han Feng looked at her with heartache, "Come on, let's eat first. I ordered some food from the hotel, all your favorite dishes."

Jiang Yimian's eyes lit up, and she quickly went to wash her hands.

Han Feng put food on her plate, saying, "Eat more, you're so thin you're just a skeleton."

Jiang Yimian swallowed the food in her mouth before saying, "Being thinner is pretty; you'll look good in anything."

Han Feng poked her forehead: "Looks good my ass, you've turned into a skeleton and you still think you look good? Your taste is getting worse and worse."

Jiang Yimian smiled, her mood improving considerably.

Seeing her cheerful expression, Han Feng hesitated for a moment before saying, "Ah Jin will be back in China soon. Once he's back, you won't have to work so hard anymore."

Jiang Yimian paused, chewing the beef in her mouth carefully. "I can't rely on him for everything."

Han Feng laughed, "He's your husband, so you can order him around however you want."

Jiang Yimian didn't say anything. Han Feng was a straightforward person, and judging from her expression, he knew she had guessed correctly. "You wouldn't be thinking about a divorce, would you?"

"It's not a wise move for Mianmian to get a divorce at this critical juncture."

Jiang Yimian looked at him, "What do you mean?"

“Jiang’s stock price is fluctuating a lot right now, and everyone is watching. Once you break away from being Ah Jin’s wife, those investors and partners who have invested in and cooperated with Jiang will abandon Jiang.

Jiang Yimian put down her chopsticks. "Brother Han Feng, I've thought about this. Even if we encounter setbacks, I'm not afraid. I'm already working on attracting new partners."

"Once the storm passes, the Jiang family will get better and better."

Han Feng: "But why do you insist on divorcing A Jin?"

"Why have you all changed after your trip to America?"

Jiang Yimian's fingers tightened unconsciously, and she lowered her eyes. "It changed from the very beginning. It's not like when we were kids anymore."

Han Feng didn't understand. He scratched the back of his head and said, "You've liked A Jin since you were little. Now that everything is going well, shouldn't you be spending more time with him?"

Jiang Yimian stared straight at him, "Brother Han Feng, will you forgive the person who abandoned you?"
