Chapter 114 Divorce

Chapter 114 Divorce

Han Feng was speechless, and Jiang Yimian also lost the desire to continue eating.

“He had his reasons. When he was sent to America, he asked me to take care of you, but I never expected that my old man would send me to that godforsaken place in Africa.”

Jiang Yimian: "At first, I really couldn't accept it, but later I figured it out. My relationship with him was just that of siblings who grew up together. We weren't even related by blood. I was blinded by hatred and included those who had wronged me in the same category. I didn't recognize my own position and kept hating him."

"But I have to resent him. After all, he said he would protect me, and he broke his promise. It's only right that I resent him. Cutting our losses now is the best outcome for both of us."

Han Feng shook his head and patted her shoulder: "Then let's move forward and stop thinking about those trivial things."

Jiang Yimian smiled again and nodded, "Yes, thank you for understanding me, Brother Han Feng."

Han Feng raised an eyebrow: "You've already called me brother, so I'm definitely going to side with my own people regardless of right or wrong. A Jin hasn't called me brother."

I've made contact with my senior, Meng Mingyan, and he's already booked my flight back to China.

On the day he returned to China, Jiang Yimian took the time to pick him up.

Jiang Yimian arrived at the airport ahead of time. Lu Xinxin felt very sympathetic when she learned about Meng Mingyan's plight. Being banned from returning to China must be so painful.

So she specially made a sign with four big characters on it: 'Welcome Home'.

Passersby couldn't help but turn around to look. Jiang Yimian looked at the huge sign and felt it was a bit exaggerated.

"Xiao Lu, aren't you tired of holding your hand up like that?"

Lu Xinxin smiled and shook her head, "Not tired at all, it's actually helping me lose weight."

Bo Jinzhou got off the plane and couldn't wait to send a message to Jiang Yimian.

The airport terminal was bustling with people. When Jiang Yimian's figure was spotted in the distance, Bo Jinzhou smiled, which brought some color to his pale face.

He quickened his pace. Jiang Yimian's eyes searched, and suddenly she saw a familiar person. Jiang Yimian's lips stiffened slightly. The man quickly came over and prepared to reach out and hug her.

Jiang Yimian walked straight ahead and passed by. Bo Jinzhou paused, turned around in confusion, and saw Jiang Yimian and Meng Mingyan hugging each other.

The man's face instantly darkened, and the temperature in the air seemed to drop.

Jiang Yimian was a little excited, her eyes welling up with tears, "Senior brother, welcome home."

Lu Xinxin naturally saw Bo Jinzhou as well, and she opened her mouth, not knowing who to greet first.

Meng Mingyan had lost a lot of weight. He patted her on the back and said, "Mianmian, you've grown up."

Bo Jinzhou stepped forward and pulled Jiang Yimian close, "Why didn't you hug me first?"

Meng Mingyan then noticed Bo Jinzhou, his eyes scanning him up and down before he remembered who the other person was.

"Jinzhou, you and Mianmian come to pick me up too."

Bo Jinzhou's face was tense and dark. He scoffed, "I just returned to the country too, arriving almost immediately after you."

Jiang Yimian coldly withdrew her hand and looked at Meng Mingyan, "Senior brother, let's go back first. I've arranged a hotel for you."

Meng Mingyan nodded, but Bo Jinzhou stubbornly grabbed her wrist, gritting his teeth, "Didn't you come here specifically to pick me up?"

Jiang Yimian lowered her eyes and didn't look at him. "I didn't know you were coming back to China today."

Bo Jinzhou's pupils contracted, as if he had heard something ridiculous. "I sent you a message, and when I called you, I told you I was going back to China today."

Jiang Yimian was annoyed and didn't want to argue with him in public: "Fine, I understand, go back."

Bo Jinzhou felt a dull pain in his chest from the impact of a burst of gas, and even his gunshot wound started to hurt.

Meng Mingyan could tell that the two had a disagreement, so he put one arm around Jiang Yimian's shoulder and the other around Bo Jinzhou's shoulder, saying, "Alright, alright, let's go back and argue."

He thought the two of them would still argue and bicker like they did when they were kids.

Bo Jinzhou pushed his hand away impatiently and walked past Meng Mingyan to stand with Jiang Yimian.

Meng Mingyan gave an awkward laugh; he still didn't like him.

His gaze was sharp and cold as he touched the sign in Lu Xinxin's hand. Lu Xinxin was so frightened that she hid the sign behind her back, but it was still sticking out on both sides.

Bo Jinzhou's face turned even uglier. He was already pale, and now he looked like he was about to faint from anger.

Jiang Yimian chatted with Meng Mingyan the whole time, with a relaxed and cheerful smile on her face, while she was cold and indifferent to him, as if she didn't want to talk to him.

Even after getting into the car, Jiang Yimian showed no intention of inviting him to get in. Bo Jinzhou couldn't hold back any longer, but dared not lash out, so he could only say aggrievedly, "Why didn't you ask me if I was alright?"

Jiang Yimian gently twisted his wrist, but he held it tightly and she couldn't move it. Only then did Jiang Yimian look directly into his eyes and carefully examine his face.

She's lost weight and is much more fragile than usual.

Their lips were pale, lacking a certain coldness.

"It's not convenient to talk here. My senior brother just returned to China and needs to rest. We can talk again when we have time."

Bo Jinzhou felt a sudden, sharp pain in his heart, and his eyes instantly reddened. "I don't want to talk."

Jiang Yimian looked at him with a calm and indifferent expression. "In that case, there's no need to talk anymore."

Ah Long pushed him away. Bo Jinzhou was so light that he almost fell over, but Song Zhou reacted quickly and caught him in time.

Ah Long looked at his hand; he didn't seem to have used much force.

Jiang Yimian got into the car, A Long drove, and Lu Xinxin sat in the passenger seat. The car drove away in front of him.

Bo Jinzhou's wound throbbed with pain. He bent over, and Song Zhou immediately supported him. "Mr. Bo, is your wound hurting? I'll take you to the hospital right away."

Bo Jinzhou's voice was weak: "No need."

The vice president of SM Entertainment arrived and, following Old Madam Pei's orders, took Bo Jinzhou to the hospital.

Meng Mingyan then realized that something seemed off between the two of them. "Mianmian, what's going on between you and Jinzhou?"

Jiang Yimian sighed wearily, "It's a long story."

She briefly told him about what had happened between them, and also mentioned that she wanted to divorce him.

Meng Mingyan frowned, unsure of his judgment, and simply said, "I respect your decision."

After settling Meng Mingyan in, Jiang Yimian returned to the company, ignoring the barrage of calls and messages from Bo Jinzhou.

Meetings should be held, and social engagements should be attended.

Jiang Yimian refused to see him, and Bo Jinzhou was stopped again when he went to the Jiang family.

For a whole week, Bo Jinzhou couldn't get close to Jiang Yimian, mainly because Ah Long was protecting her closely, giving Bo Jinzhou no chance at all.

In addition, his injury had not yet healed, and Grandma Pei kept requiring him to go to the hospital for regular check-ups.

Bo Jinzhou returned to Yunduan, and Wang Ma came out to greet him alone.

"Ah Jin, go and rest. I'll call you when dinner is ready."

Bo Jinzhou nodded. It felt like two months had passed since he last returned.

He went upstairs and entered the room. When he saw that the walk-in closet was mostly empty, he almost stumbled backward.

"Wang Ma!"

Hearing the noise, Wang Ma wiped her hands and hurried upstairs. "What's wrong, Jin?"

Bo Jinzhou's face was pale, and his voice trembled, "Where are Mianmian's things?"

“Two days ago, Mianmian’s two best friends took her away. They said that since you two are getting a divorce, Mianmian will no longer live in Yunduan.”

Upon hearing the word "divorce," Bo Jinzhou felt a sharp pain in his heart, and the air seemed to thin.
