Chapter 1 "Should we date?"...
"How about we start dating?"
In the late autumn evening, the wind was cool, and the path was covered with yellowish-brown sycamore leaves.
Today is Wednesday. Song Wan helped her counselor deliver materials to the school's administration building and ran into Chen Jianjin on her way out.
He was the president of the shooting club. When Song Wan enrolled in September, she heard from a senior in the same college that joining a club could earn her extra credits. Unfortunately, it was too late when she found out, as many clubs had already recruited enough people. She took a stack of flyers given to her by her roommate and contacted each of them by phone. That's how she managed to get into the shooting club.
Song Wan only learned about Chen Jianjin half a month after joining the club. Previously, a senior named Jiao Qian had hosted all the welcoming activities, and Song Wan had always thought that she was the club president.
Until one shooting training session.
Kyoto University is a top-tier university, and its clubs are well-organized. The shooting club has a dedicated training ground, although it is only open on Thursday afternoons.
With the mindset of "since we're already here," Song Wan also participated in the training.
She thought many people in the club were just there to get credits, like her. But she was surprised to find that everyone was genuinely interested in and had experience with shooting sports, which made her, a complete novice, seem rather clueless.
She had never held a gun before, let alone aimed and fired one, and made a fool of herself.
Chen Jianjin arrived at this time.
Jiao Qian was the first to discover him.
The two seemed to have a good relationship. As soon as Jiao Qian saw him, she greeted him with a smile and chatted casually.
Song Wan initially thought he was Jiao Qian's boyfriend who had come looking for her.
She sat in the rest area, holding a pink water cup, curiously watching the two people in the distance.
Suddenly, the boy glanced away and looked in her direction.
Song Wan's heart skipped a beat, and she quickly turned her face away to watch the other students shooting.
Later, through gossip among her fellow club members, Song Wan learned that the boy's name was Chen Jianjin, the founder and president of the shooting club, a very impressive figure. He used to play professionally and won an Olympic gold medal. Later, for some unknown reason, he retired and was spotted by a famous director, starring in a movie that later won an international award. Just when everyone thought he would pursue a career in the entertainment industry, he went back to studying for the college entrance examination as usual.
He had been away for half his life, but returned at the age of eighteen.
I heard that his mother is the Party Secretary of the school and his father is a business tycoon; he is truly a chosen one.
So, Song Wan was stunned when she was suddenly asked the question about being a "chosen one".
In her memory, they had only spoken a few times, and could not even be called close friends; at most, they were strangers who knew each other's names.
Song Wan was puzzled and began to wonder if today was some kind of April Fool's Day prank, or if he had lost a game of Truth or Dare.
The girl's complicated gaze scrutinized him from head to toe.
After waiting for a long time without receiving her reply, Chen Jianjin became inexplicably irritated. He kicked away a small pebble at his feet, clicked his tongue, and asked again, "Do you want to be in a relationship?"
Under the shade of a sycamore tree, a boy dressed in all black stood casually with his hands in his pockets, while behind him, the sky was ablaze with fiery clouds.
Undeniably, Chen Jianjin has an outstanding appearance. He is over 190cm tall, has a male model-like body proportion, and has sharp eyebrows and bright eyes. Unlike the stereotypical handsome men with a casual vibe online, his handsomeness is the kind that is rugged and rugged, so good-looking that even a burlap sack couldn't hide it.
Song Wan later watched the movie he starred in, and all she can say is that he is even more stunning in real life than on screen.
People love to appreciate beautiful things, and Song Wan was no exception. So when they first met, her gaze couldn't help but linger on him.
But this is just pure appreciation, without any emotional involvement.
So, Song Wan took a deep breath and shook her head vigorously.
Chen Jianjin frowned: "Why?"
Song Wan asked, puzzled, "Why what?"
"Why don't you want to date me?" He paused, then asked, "Do you have someone you like?"
Song Wan shook her head. "No."
That was the answer to his second question.
Chen Jianjin grabbed a handful of hair in frustration, revealing his smooth forehead.
"If you don't have one, why don't you date me?"
After going around in circles, the problem has returned to its original starting point.
Song Wan thought this person was really strange. Why did he have to be in a relationship?
She didn't want to get entangled. It wasn't 5:30 yet, and she needed to get to the cafeteria for dinner before get out of class ended, otherwise it would get crowded later. After dinner, she had to go to the library to help the teacher organize books. The poverty subsidy she applied for required her to accumulate enough volunteer service hours each semester.
Chen Jianjin clearly had no intention of letting her go, and grabbed Song Wan's wrist as she turned to leave.
Song Wan's eyes widened in shock as she tried to pull back, asking, "What are you doing?"
As it's nearing the end of the workday, there are people coming and going from the administration building, making it clearly not a good place for conversation.
"Let go... Ugh!"
Before Song Wan could finish speaking, the boy covered her mouth with his large hand, easily covering her entire mouth and nose.
Song Wan wasn't short; at 1.68 meters tall, she looked like a little chick next to him. He half-carried, half-dragged her towards the parking lot outside the garden.
From a distance, the two looked like a playful young couple.
But they're not in that kind of relationship.
Song Wan didn't know what he was going to do, nor did she expect him to be so bold. She was surprised by the disparity in strength between men and women, and also felt fearful about what awaited her next.
Chen Jianjin unlocked the car, pushed the person into the back seat, and then followed him in.
Almost the instant she was released, Song Wan moved her buttocks away from him and went to pull on the other side of the car door.
Chen Jianjin had locked the door, and she couldn't open it.
Song Wan's chest heaved with anger as she glared at him, "What do you want? Let me go!"
Chen Jianjin's words remained unchanged: "Stay with me."
Song Wan couldn't understand why he was so stubborn.
"I don't like you, and I won't be with you. Can't you understand human language?!"
She was like a frightened bird, terrified and furious, her breath coming in ragged gasps, her cheeks flushed red from the blood rushing to her face.
Chen Jianjin remained silent for a moment.
The car fell silent, with only the sound of breathing rising and falling.
After a moment, he said, "Feelings can be cultivated slowly. You will come to like me, so..."
As he spoke, he raised his eyelids, his dark brown pupils instantly locking onto her, and slowly concluded, "From today onwards, we are boyfriend and girlfriend."
For the first time in her life, Song Wan felt so powerless. She slowly calmed herself and tried to reason with him, "We've only met a few times, and we've only spoken a handful of times. We don't understand each other at all..."
“I know you very well.” Chen Jianjin interrupted her calmly, his tone flat and even, as if he were stating a press release. “I’m a local, two years older than you, I studied finance, and my parents are divorced.”
"..." Song Wan: "Are you done talking? If you're done, open the door and let me out."
Chen Jianjin remained silent, his eyes dark and brooding.
Song Wan felt uneasy under his gaze. Just then, her phone vibrated in her shoulder bag, reminding her that she still had her phone.
She hurriedly pulled out her things and found Jiao Qian in her contacts.
Before the call button could be pressed, it was snatched away by Chen Jianjin's long finger.
"Give it back to me."
Song Wan tried to grab it, but he grabbed her shoulder and squeezed her into the corner of the car seat.
Her back was pressed against the leather seat back, the car door was to her left, and he was in front of her.
Song Wan looked at him in horror, her round, doe-like eyes brimming with tears.
Chen Jianjin's gaze fell on the corner of her mouth, where strands of hair were stuck together.
Song Wan has a beautiful lip shape with full cupid's bow, making her look very kissable.
He had wanted to do this for a long time.
After their reunion, I waited two months, afraid of scaring her. But now, the urging voice in my heart is growing stronger.
Under Song Wan's horrified gaze, Chen Jianjin raised his finger and pressed it against the corner of her lips, his thumb gently stroking her lower lip.
The tingling, itchy sensation felt like an electric current, sending a shiver down my spine.
Song Wan struggled, but he grabbed her cheeks and turned her face back to normal.
Chen Jianjin used his other hand to brush away the stray hairs from her cheek, his gentle gaze traveling down from the girl's almond-shaped eyes, past the tip of her delicate nose, and finally landing on her slightly pouting pink lips.
She wasn't wearing makeup; everything about her was in the cleanest, purest color.
With a slight twitch of his Adam's apple, Chen Jianjin bowed his head.
At first, he only lightly touched her lips, which felt very soft. Soon, he was no longer satisfied with the light touch and stuck out his tongue to tease her.
Song Wan was clearly uncooperative.
He was pinching her face, and she couldn't bite him, so she used all her strength to push and hit him.
Song Wan kept struggling, but Chen Jianjin was a very impatient person. He changed his position and knelt down beside her. The hand that was originally holding her waist controlled her two wrists and pulled them up above her head.
In this position, Song Wan had to straighten her back, which made it easier for Chen Jianjin to kiss her.
She remained uncooperative.
Chen Jianjin was displeased, and coaxed her by rubbing her lips: "Baby, stick your tongue out."
He was as affectionate as if they were lovers who had been together for a long time.
But Song Wan knew they weren't.
Tears welled up in her eyes and fell one by one.
Meeting her terrified, tearful eyes, Chen Jianjin frowned and asked, puzzled, "Why are you crying?"
He kissed away her tears.
The salty and astringent taste wasn't pleasant; it wasn't as good as her palate.
"We are lovers, kissing is a perfectly normal thing."
A low, gentle sentence, as if convincing himself, and also as convincing her.
After saying that, Chen Jianjin pressed himself against her again.
He kissed her deeply, his tongue swirling in her mouth, hooking her tongue and sucking on it repeatedly, until Song Wan was almost suffocating.
After an unknown amount of time, Chen Jianjin finally got satisfied and let go.
Song Wan had long since exhausted her strength; her limbs were weak, and her head was spinning due to lack of oxygen.
She stopped arguing with him.
Chen Jianjin liked Song Wan very much. He grabbed her waist and held her in his arms. His slightly damp fingertips touched her sweaty temples. He felt an overwhelming joy in his heart.
It was already dark outside.
Moonlight streamed in, and Chen Jianjin stroked Song Wan's spine, slowly calming his racing heart. His voice was slightly hoarse afterward, but he was in a good mood and asked, "What do you want to eat tonight?"
Song Wan gritted her teeth and closed her eyes. "I have something to do tonight. I promised the teacher I'd help me pack my things."
Chen Jianjin knew everything about Song Wan, nodded, and said, "Don't go, I'll give you the money."
"What is this? Being kept as a sugar daddy?"
Chen Jianjin frowned and looked into her eyes. He disliked those two words, and even more so the disgust in her eyes. He explained, "We are boyfriend and girlfriend, so my money is your money."
Song Wan found it ironic. Before today, they would never greet each other if they bumped into each other on the street. From today onwards, she was forced to become his girlfriend.
Chen Jianjin was very efficient; he found the phone he had left aside and transferred a considerable amount of money to her card.
"You can spend these first. Later, I'll have the lawyer compile a complete asset summary and transfer them all to your name, okay?"
Song Wan neither agreed nor disagreed, and turned her face away to look out of the car.
The moonlight was pale, unable to reach her eyes.
Song Wan simply repeated, "I promised the teacher I would help tidy up my things."
With his lips drawn straight, Chen Jianjin stared at her profile for a long time, and the two remained locked in a stalemate for just as long. Finally, he relented: "Then let's have breakfast together tomorrow morning."

Those who know Zhou Mo know that she has a younger brother who is a servant.
Anyone who knows Zhou Song'an knows that he is a sister-obsessed person.
The day Zhou Song'an changed his name to Fu Song'an, Zhou Mo thought that their sibling relationship had come to an end.
Unexpectedly, the next day, he showed up at their door with hundreds of millions of assets given to him by his new family.
——
During a gathering with friends, the topic of Zhou Mo's scumbag ex-boyfriend came up. Apparently, he debuted based on his looks and became a member of a small idol group.
Immediately, friends who were unaware of this relationship started gossiping.
With fruit being stuffed into her mouth one after another, Zhou Mo couldn't speak. She glared at Zhou Song'an beside her.
Using the excuse of going to the restroom, Zhou Mo fled the scene.
In the single cubicle, Zhou Mo glared at Zhou Song'an, who was blocking her way, and gritted her teeth as she rebuked him: "This is the women's restroom!"
“I can read.” The boy chuckled as he locked the door, his long, slender fingers caressing the inside of her wrist. His dark eyes, partially hidden by long eyelashes, were both sickly and obsessive. He called out softly, “Sister.”
The summer night was humid, and the scorching heat that wouldn't cool down filled my ears, along with the broken laughter of a boy.
Zhou Mo regretted provoking Zhou Song'an terribly.
——
In public, Zhou Song'an is obedient, compliant, and always ready to help others—a model of filial piety.
Behind the scenes, Zhou Song'an, like a rat in a gutter, coveted his good sister.
