Chapter 7, Chapter 7: "Baby, shall we?"...

Song Wan was startled; her eyelashes trembled wildly, and then tears streamed down her face.

He made her cry again.

Chen Jianjin lowered his eyes in frustration, "I'm sorry."

He got out of the car, went into the nearest convenience store, and grabbed a pack of cigarettes.

Chen Jianjin is not addicted to cigarettes; he only smokes one when he is particularly upset.

He half-bitten something, gathered the air, and lit it.

Exhaling a puff of smoke, Chen Jianjin, remembering something, took out his phone from his pocket, logged onto a platform he hadn't used in ages, and saw the accusations Song Wan had made.

He frowned slightly and pulled out a number from his contacts.

The other party answered quickly: "What's up?"

"I don't have a computer with me, can you delete this post for me?"

"Um."

Song Wan was left alone in the car.

Gradually, she finished crying and her mood calmed down.

Suddenly, her phone vibrated. Song Wan sniffed and picked it up to look at it.

Her roommate messaged her: "Xiao Wanwan, your post has been censored!!!"

Song Wan clicked in to check, and indeed, it was no longer available.

He took two puffs of a cigarette, threw the rest into the trash can, and then chewed two orange-flavored hard candies before returning to his car, worried about the smell.

Song Wan tensed up the moment she saw him.

Chen Jianjin apologized readily: "I'm sorry."

Song Wan was taken aback by his attitude.

He cornered her so horribly just now and made her apologize, and now he's apologizing to her?

"If you have any complaints in the future, just say so. You can hit me or yell at me, but I don't want to hear that sentence again, understand?"

That sentence...which sentence?

Song Wan thought and thought, then muttered softly to confirm, "What did I do wrong to deserve meeting you?"

Chen Jianjin's breath hitched. "Song Wan."

This was the first time she had ever heard him call her by her full name.

Chen Jianjin exuded a strong sense of oppression, and Song Wan wisely pursed her lips and remained silent.

"There must be no next time."

Chen Jianjin emphasized this seriously.

Song Wan wanted to curse, but after her lips twitched a few times, she gave up.

She couldn't bring herself to say it.

Perhaps because he was busy, Song Wan didn't see Chen Jianjin at school again after Monday, except for picking her up and dropping her off at school without fail.

She was happy to have peace and quiet, and to be free and at ease.

Thursday afternoons are the club's regular activities.

In order to get enough attendance, Song Wan still participated, and unsurprisingly, she ran into Jiao Qian.

Song Wan hasn't seen Jiao Qian since the police station last week.

In fact, there was nothing visible between the two of them. If it weren't for her false testimony, Song Wan wouldn't have been so inexplicably tied to Chen Jianjin.

Song Wan really couldn't understand Jiao Qian. She clearly liked Chen Jianjin, yet she admitted in front of so many people that she was his girlfriend.

If Song Wan was worried about Chen Jianjin being detained, she felt there was no need to worry. How many days could someone be detained for sexual harassment? Besides, he had an uncle who was the director of the municipal bureau.

Song Wan arrived at the training ground, but only sat on the viewing platform to watch.

"Congratulations, you've crossed the class barrier."

Song Wan turned her head at the sound, and Jiao Qian stood a step higher than her, looking down on her.

Song Wan turned her face back and continued to watch the other members of the commune practice target shooting.

Jiao Qian gritted her teeth and sat down next to her. "Don't you want to know why I said that?"

Song Wan didn't respond. Seeing that she was unmoved, Jiao Qian continued, "Jianjin has been very generous to every girlfriend he's dated. You know, with a family like his, his future spouse will definitely be someone of equal status. Boys, after all, want to have fun while they're young."

As soon as she finished speaking, Song Wan couldn't help but laugh.

Jiao Qian frowned, displeased: "What are you laughing at?"

"I'm laughing at you." Song Wan's eyebrows curved, and her dimples were shallow. She spoke the most hurtful words with the most innocent appearance. "At first, I didn't understand. You clearly like Chen Jianjin, so why would you say that I am his girlfriend? After hearing what you just said, I understand."

"You like Chen Jianjin, but Chen Jianjin doesn't like you. Your families know each other, right? Your parents might have secretly tried to match you two up, right?"

“You don’t actually believe the charges I made at the police station. You think I seduced the person you like, like a honey trap. You think it was all a setup I set up. You think that listening to the lawyer and giving false testimony can save Chen Jianjin and leave a mark on his heart. But why are you afraid? Is it because you feel that the current Chen Jianjin is very unfamiliar and has deviated from your understanding of him? So, you can’t wait to assert your dominance, belittle me, and tell me that Chen Jianjin is just playing around with me.”

"Jiao Qian, the person who wrongs someone knows far more about how wronged that person is than the person who was wronged."

"Don't be sarcastic and treat me like your imaginary enemy. What you treasure is not even worth a blade of grass to me. On the contrary, I am looking forward to you taking Chen Jianjin back."

Jiao Qian's face turned ashen. "Song Wan, you don't need to brag in front of me. So what if Chen Jianjin likes you? He likes a lot of people, and you're just one of them. When he first entered university, he even pursued a high school girl. It was a long-distance relationship, and he would run over to see her every day. Do you think his current interest will last long?"

Song Wan: "..."

"You and Chen Jianjin are truly a match made in heaven." Song Wan glanced at her coldly and mocked, "Both of you are unable to understand human language."

"……you?!"

Jiao Qian's eyes widened in anger.

Song Wan, however, got up from the viewing platform as if nothing had happened, intending to go down and try her hand at target shooting.

She didn't win any last time, so she hopes she can at least win one this time.

Song Wan practiced for a while, but for some reason, even though she was clearly aiming through the scope, she kept missing the target.

"Your posture is wrong."

As a clear male voice came from behind, a warm chest pressed against her back. Chen Jianjin steadied Song Wan's wrist from behind and reminded her, "Trigger."

Song Wan pressed the button subconsciously.

Two seconds later, the electronic display screen refreshed the score.

8.5!

Song Wan's best result.

She turned her head excitedly, but the smile on her face froze the moment she met Chen Jianjin's eyes.

Song Wan took a step back, widening the distance between them.

Chen Jianjin grabbed her arm and pulled her into his arms again, hooking a stray strand of hair behind her ear with his right finger to fasten it.

"Want to learn shooting? I'll teach you."

Song Wan resisted, "I don't want to learn, let me go."

Chen Jianjin held Song Wan's back with one hand and touched her lower lip with the other. "It's fine if you don't want to learn. Let's kiss. It's been so long since I kissed you, baby."

Song Wan gritted her teeth, trying to struggle, but he grabbed her chin. Seeing him lower his head and press down on her, she immediately changed her mind: "I'll learn! I'll learn shooting!"

There were quite a few club members in the venue, and they were all secretly glancing in their direction, both openly and covertly.

Chen Jianjin didn't actually kiss her.

Song Wan is easily embarrassed. Just like now, even though he did nothing, her ears and cheeks turned as red as the sunset.

Chen Jianjin rushed up from behind, and Song Wan was forced to press against his chest.

He held her wrist in his large palm.

"Focus on the scope with three points aligned, remember the feeling of aiming, and I'll help you stabilize your wrist."

Song Wan lowered her wrist slightly, but Chen Jianjin supported her again.

Once or twice might be a coincidence, but the third time, Song Wan finally couldn't hold back and questioned him, "What are you doing?!"

Chen Jianjin explained gently, "Your posture is wrong, I'm helping you adjust it."

"I can't aim accurately at you like that!"

Chen Jianjin remained silent, but this time, he didn't apply any force when Song Wan aimed.

Song Wan didn't miss the target with this shot, but her score wasn't much better.

Unconvinced, she decided to try again. This time, Chen Jianjin slightly raised his palm, lowered his head, and asked gently in her ear, "Want to try?"

The dull thud of her heart pounding in her chest continued. Song Wan exhaled softly and pulled the trigger.

9.4!

She was pleasantly surprised.

"Chen Jianjin, how did you do that?"

As her back left his warm chest, the heavy heartbeat in her ear disappeared.

Song Wan was momentarily lost in thought.

Chen Jianjin rubbed her face with his finger, "Baby, have you forgotten? Your boyfriend is a professional."

Song Wan ignored the intimacy in his words, "But..."

“But I didn’t look at the scope.” Chen Jianjin smiled. “There are no scopes in professional competitions either. The gun you have is modified. It’s for you guys to play with.”

With muscle memory trained to this level, Song Wan suddenly felt that the person in front of her was not like Chen Jianjin.

At least he wasn't like the Chen Jianjin she remembered.

However, Song Wan soon overturned this view.

Chen Jianjin is still the same Chen Jianjin.

Despicable! Bastard!

At that moment, Song Wan was pinned down on the sofa in the apartment by him, kissing her until she was almost suffocating.

"It's been so long, how come you still can't breathe properly?"

Chen Jianjin patted her on the back, panting.

Due to lack of oxygen, Song Wan felt lightheaded and dizzy, her pupils were unfocused, and her cheeks were flushed.

So cute.

Chen Jianjin, as if he couldn't get enough of looking at her, brushed away the stray hairs that were stuck to her face as she struggled.

His face darkened again.

"...Hmm."

Song Wan pushed and hit Chen Jianjin, twisting her body and struggling.

Her inner thigh accidentally brushed against a certain spot, and Chen Jianjin lost control and accidentally bit her.

A fleeting moment of pain gave Song Wan an opening, and she turned away from the lingering kiss.

She was still being pressed down by his tall frame.

Song Wan kicked him, yelling, "Let me go!"

Chen Jianjin's breath hitched. He pinched the back of her knee and frowned, "Don't move."

“You…!” Song Wan looked up angrily, but was startled by Chen Jianjin’s expression at that moment.

His eyes were red-rimmed, and a thin layer of sweat beaded on his forehead; he looked as if he were in unbearable pain.

Song Wan guessed that she had probably accidentally kicked him somewhere and hurt him.

Chen Jianjin's face was ashen.

Song Wan had never seen him so restrained.

It seems she really kicked him hard.

Song Wan was momentarily frightened. She wasn't sure if Chen Jianjin had violent tendencies. She swallowed hard, her throat dry. "This...you...you brought this on yourself. If you hadn't forced me, I wouldn't have struggled, and I wouldn't have kicked you."

As she spoke, Song Wan shifted her waist slightly outward.

Chen Jianjin's face was ashen, his brows furrowed and teeth clenched: "Don't move!"

How could it not move?

The best course of action is to escape far away from him while he is incapacitated.

Thinking this, Song Wan struggled again.

The string that had been tightening in my mind snapped completely.

Chen Jianjin breathed heavily, pressing her wrist down into the soft sofa, while simultaneously thrusting his strong, slender waist upwards.

Song Wan's eyes widened visibly.

Chen Jianjin's face turned ashen. "Are you still going to move?"

Song Wan dared not move again, and even her breathing became soft.

Chen Jianjin lowered his head and buried his face in Song Wan's warm neck.

He slowly calmed his heartbeat, trying to suppress the excitement in his heart.

The time hasn't come yet; he'll only scare her if he does this.

No matter how much he tried to restrain himself, he still insisted on what he wanted, showing off his power.

Chen Jianjin let out a soft breath, kissed the corner of the person in his arms' lips, and asked gently, "Baby, shall we?"

Song Wan did not react.

Chen Jianjin couldn't resist nuzzling her earlobe with the tip of his nose, and gently kissed the side of her neck. "Let's do it, okay?"

She didn't speak, and Chen Jianjin took it as her tacit consent. As he slipped his long fingers under the hem of her short sweater, his lips went to find hers.

Song Wan's hands were being held by him, so she could only turn her head away to avoid his kiss.

Tears welled up in my eyes without me even realizing it, flowing into my hair.

She glared at him with venomous hatred, and swore through her tears, "Chen Jianjin, if you dare touch me, I'll drag you down with me even if I die!"

Chen Jianjin was startled.

That night, Song Wan didn't sleep a wink. She sat with her knees drawn up in the corner in front of the French windows in the bedroom, her gaze vacant.
