Chapter 18 No One Can Make You Cry

Now, my uncle and aunt have warmed me with their love and made me a better person, but they say they regret it?

It seemed a bit funny, and Yan Cuo actually laughed out loud. "You said you regretted it. What did you regret? Did you regret giving birth to me, or did you regret treating me the way you did? I wanted you to look at me more than once, countless times before. Did you see that? Now you're telling me you regret it. What? Do you think I'm easy to bully? Do you think I deserve to be bullied by you all my life?"

Yancuo smiled, but tears fell from his eyes. Looking at the woman who gave him life, his heart was filled with bitterness.

The woman was a little overwhelmed at the moment, shaking her head, tears streaming down her face, looking a little embarrassed. Yan Cuo turned his head away from her and said, "I have said everything I need to say. Don't come to me again in the future. Just pretend that I don't exist as a child, and I will pretend that I don't have this pair of parents. That way, no one will be sad."

The woman suddenly rushed over like crazy, grabbed Yancuo's hand and was about to kneel down, "Yanyan, Mommy begs you, please don't say that, okay? You are my flesh and blood, how can I just say no? Mommy was wrong, really wrong, please forgive me this time, okay? Just think of it as mommy begging you, okay?"

Yan Cuo finally turned around, looking at her with red eyes: "Then what do you want from me! After so many years of hatred, can you just forget it? I just want to ask, why don't you want me? Why did you give birth to me but don't want me? If you don't want me, why did you give birth to me?"

As Yancuo spoke, tears continued to fall. She reached out to wipe them away, looking straight at the woman. "I've begged you countless times, given myself hope countless times, but what have you given me? Ever since I was a child, I've always wondered why my childhood was so unhappy, why my parents never looked at me with love. Today, I understand. I wasn't part of your plans at all. I was completely superfluous. If that's the case, then just pretend you never gave birth to me. Don't come looking for me again, let's save some face for each other."

The woman had already collapsed on the ground, seemingly unable to imagine how her obedient daughter could become like this. But what she didn't know was that during the countless days and nights without family affection, Yan Cuo had already developed a deep despair for them.

Tears kept coming out of Yan Cuo's face. She kept reaching out to wipe them away, but it seemed that she could not wipe them away.

She suddenly ran out, and no matter how the woman called out to her, she didn't look back. She just kept running and running until she reached Yu Muyang's doorstep, where she stopped.

She squatted at the door of Yu Muyang's house. It was quiet inside, but she didn't have the courage to knock. Did she want him to see such an unbearable scene? Her eyes must be very red and covered with tears. It must be ugly.

She squatted at the gate, and soon her legs became numb. She stood up with difficulty and prepared to go home.

At that moment, the door inside suddenly opened, and the young man walked over. Through the door, Yan Cuo watched him walk towards her with a worried look on his face. A deep warmth welled up in her heart, but she couldn't hold back her tears any longer. She rushed over and hugged him tightly, pouring out all her vulnerability and all her unbearableness at that moment.

The boy just held her quietly, and when she sobbed, he used his hands to slowly soothe her breath. Seeing the girl crying so hard, he felt his heart ache. He didn't know what was going on, but he didn't ask her. When she wanted to talk, she would tell her naturally.

After crying for an unknown amount of time, Yan Cuo felt the sadness in her heart finally dissipate a little, and she slowly raised her head from his arms. His coat was now soaked with his tears, and it looked a little wrinkled. Yan Cuo looked at him a little embarrassedly, only to see him looking at her with a distressed face: "Are you feeling better?" She nodded and lay back in his arms.

Feeling his strong heartbeat, she felt that she was truly alive again, and the heart-wrenching sadness she had felt before was now soothed.

She cried for too long, and her voice was a little hoarse at the moment, "Why are you so good to me? So good that I feel like I can't live without you all the time." He looked at her and smiled dotingly: "Then don't leave, we will be together for the rest of our lives. From now on, I will protect your life. No one can bully you, no one can make you cry, you just need to stay by my side."

Yan Cuo nodded gently in his arms, then, as if making a major decision, sat up and looked at him. "If I told you that my parents didn't want me since I was little, and I grew up with my grandmother, and then she passed away, they didn't want me anymore, but my uncle and aunt took me in and treated me well until now, would you feel sorry for me?"

Yu Muyang shook his head and hugged her tighter: "What happened in the past is in the past. I will always be with you in the future. You will not be abandoned again. Believe me."

Yancuo felt that the loss and sadness in his heart had all dissipated at this moment. Only the boy's words kept echoing in his heart: I will always be with you, and I will treat you well for the rest of my life.

Yancuo couldn't hold back any more, tears streaming down her face. But now, they weren't tears of sadness, but happiness. The deep sense of happiness in her heart silently told her: From now on, she would never be alone again, she would always have him by her side.
