Chapter 26 That Fool is Waiting for Me

The girl looked up at him, her face full of emotion.

He continued, "I didn't handle this situation well. Grandpa has always had a heart disease, but it had been stable in the past few years. Who knew it would suddenly relapse that day? I was panicked and scrambled, and I couldn't find my phone. I didn't have time to contact you before I rushed abroad. My parents were too busy at the time and didn't have time to come over. I could only take care of Grandpa every day and didn't find a way to contact you."

After a pause, he seemed a little nervous and spoke with difficulty: "Yanyan, I know you must be very worried about me. I'm sorry. I won't do it again next time. Don't cry, okay?"

The girl didn't speak for a long time. Yu Muyang looked at her. She was looking at him with a smile on her face. "You did a great job. If I were facing this, I would definitely not do as well as you. I will definitely believe in you in the future and will never doubt you again."

He was a little moved and wanted to hug her again, but Yan Cuo jumped up as if something had happened: "Yu Muyang, you have grown a beard."

He looked at her fussing and couldn't help laughing: "Isn't it normal for boys to have beards?"

She stared at him curiously. "I've never seen you with a beard before. It looks a bit weird."

He stroked his beard, thinking of how unkempt he looked now, and seemed a little embarrassed. "I rushed over to see you as soon as I got off the plane. I didn't have time to clean up. Am I really unkempt?"

Yan Cuo just kept looking at him with a smile: "No, I think this looks more mature and manly."

Hearing her obviously teasing tone, he tickled her with amusement and didn't let go until she kept begging for mercy.

The two walked along the familiar street, occasionally chatting about recent events. Yan Cuo looked at the obvious dark circles under his eyes, feeling distressed, and pushed him back home.

Yu Muyang didn't want to leave and wanted to continue to accompany her, but she refused and asked him to go back with a cold face.

He was a little surprised and looked at her with a smile: "What's wrong? Are you in such a hurry to send me back?"

Yan Cuo glared at him seriously: "Look at your dark circles. Go back and have a good rest. Come back to see me after you've rested."

He laughed a little: "So that's what you're worried about. Fine, I'll go back first and come see you next time. Promise me you won't let your thoughts run wild anymore. I've bought a new phone and will contact you often."

Yan Cuo nodded: "I understand. Go back quickly and have a good sleep. Get some rest. You can't look so haggard next time I see you."

He turned around reluctantly and looked back to see Yan Cuo still standing there. He ran over quickly, kissed him, then turned and left, leaving Yan Cuo standing there pretending to be angry and mumbling.

All his worries vanished after this trip. The girl was still standing there waiting for him. His physical fatigue seemed to have disappeared, and he felt only a sense of relaxation. However, after thinking about Yan Cao's words, he decided to go home and get a good night's sleep.

It is true that I haven't slept well for a long time. My grandfather's illness has been recurring, and the hospital has issued critical illness notices many times. I have been with him all the time and have almost no sleep all night.

At that time, I was very nervous and didn't dare to relax at all, for fear that something might happen to my grandfather.

Grandpa is the person who loves me the most. Since my parents were busy since I was a child, it was often my grandfather who raised me alone. My grandfather was with me through all the stages of my growth.

Seeing his grandfather lying on the hospital bed, his body full of tubes, he was terrified. He had once been so tall, but now he was gray-haired and looked so fragile.

But I can't fall down. I must be strong, take responsibility, and face it.

And that fool is waiting for me to come back.

She is her belief and the light in her heart.

When I got home, the house was empty. My grandfather was sent to the hospital here as soon as he came back. He had just had surgery and was still very weak. My parents were with him in the hospital.

He washed up and lay down on the bed.

He originally thought he would not be able to sleep, but he felt sleepy as soon as he lay down, and he had a rare good sleep.

She is the one who appears in his dreams. She smiles sweetly, glares at him angrily, and cries sadly.

Next time I must not let her worry and be anxious.

He thought.
