Chapter 59: Always Stand by Her Side

Su He nodded hurriedly, pulled her and strode forward, "Let's go, I'm really starving." The two boys behind followed resignedly, and no one complained.

They stopped in front of a small shop. The shop looked very simple with only a few tables, but it looked clean. The proprietress looked kind and smiled at Yan Cuo. "You, are you the girl from the Yan family?"

Yan Cuo nodded and said, "It's me, Auntie. I came back to visit my grandma. These are my classmates. I brought them here to taste your cooking."

The proprietress smiled and nodded. "I haven't seen you for many years. You've grown up so much. I remember when your grandma brought you here, you were just this little."

Su He kept watching the busy figure of the proprietress, rubbing his hands in anticipation, and suddenly thought of something, "Yan Cuo, is there anything to drink here?"

Yan Cuo finally reacted, "Do you guys want some white porridge? The thick kind. A bowl of it will make your stomach feel good."

They all nodded, and Su He followed her to get the porridge, then sat down and drank it slowly, occasionally giving a few words of praise.

"This porridge tastes good, a little sweet, and it tastes very fragrant."

Yan Cuo nodded and said, "Many families here are farmers, so the rice is grown at home, so it's naturally more fragrant."

The two boys drank quietly without saying anything, just listening to the two girls talking seriously without any impatience on their faces.
