Chapter 6 You are good

He nodded at her, "Okay, I will. It's late, you should go back early." Then he took out a notebook from his pocket, "This is the last English notebook, remember to read it carefully, I have to go back first." Yan Cuo looked at him and nodded heavily, "Okay, I got it, you should go back early. Remember, be happy!" She watched the boy turn around and leave, disappearing into the end of the night.

Yan Cuo realized that his heart was beating very fast at this moment. His embrace was so warm that he didn't want to leave.

But tonight, he was so sad. He wanted to ask what was wrong, wanted to help him, but it seemed like there was nothing he could do. Thinking of the slap marks on his face, Yan Cuo felt heartbroken. Who would hurt such a good boy?

Thinking back to the group of people who had chased him, Yancuo felt that she should find out everything. She walked along the intersection where the boy had just left, slowly following his footsteps, and saw him enter a courtyard. The courtyard looked very grand and imposing, and the lights in the hall were on.

Yan Cuo followed him in stealthily and eavesdropped at the door. There were two middle-aged men talking inside, and their words were all accusing Yu Muyang. "Look at what you look like! How many times have I told you not to hang out with girls from poor families like that? Our Yu family isn't an ordinary family. You're going to inherit the family business after you graduate. You're always going to that girl's house every few days. Do you think I don't know?"

The boy remained silent for a long time. After a while, he looked at the middle-aged man and said, "Dad, she's not the kind of girl you guys are talking about. She's very hardworking and motivated. It's my business that I like her. She's still young. I won't let her know, and I won't bother her anymore."

The middle-aged woman who had been silent seemed to be furious at this moment and was about to hit him with a wave of her hand. Yan Cuo rushed in without thinking.

The woman had no time to hide her shocked look and slapped him hard.

The slap was powerful, and Yan Cuo turned her head away. Yu Muyang rushed over and pulled her behind him. "What are you doing? I've already told you it was my own wishful thinking. If you think hitting me will make you feel better, then go ahead and hit me. I'm telling you now, I regret it and I don't want to give up. I just like her. I want to wait until she grows up and be with her." After saying that, he took Yan Cuo's hand and turned to leave the place.

Yan Cuo was still lost in the situation. What had he said? Who did he like? Me? The boy paused, watching the girl behind him, lost in thought.

He took her to a park. At that moment, there were only a few people in the park. They sat down on a bench, paused, and then he looked at Yan Cuo and said firmly, "Yan Cuo, you must have heard everything I said. I like you. I have liked you for a long time. But back then, I wasn't sure what love meant. Now I understand. I have walked to the alley in front of your house countless times, watching you studying upstairs, doing housework, or just daydreaming. I don't know when it started, but you are the only one in my mind. But you are still young, so I am not in a hurry. I will wait for you. When you grow up, you can be with me, okay?"

Yan Cuo stared at him blankly, as if trying to confirm the truth of his words. Actually, do you really like me? But I'm so bad. I'm not pretty, not outstanding, and even my parents don't want me. What's the merit of me? He's such a good person.

The more Yan Cuo thought about it, the more helpless he became. Tears welled up in his eyes, and he choked out, "But, but, I'm really not good at all. I'm not pretty, nor am I outstanding. I need to put in a hundred thousand efforts to stand by your side. Are you sure you like me, even though I'm such a bad person?"

Yu Muyang reached out and wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes, then looked at Yan Cuo firmly: "Yan Cuo, don't say that about yourself. To me, you are the most special. You are cute, you work hard, and to me, you are the best."

Yan Cuo blinked hard, trying to hold back the tears that were still flowing down, and looked at him: "I'm really not that good..." He looked at her quietly for a long time without saying a word. Yan Cuo stood there in a daze, turned around and was about to leave, only to hear a light but firm voice behind her: "No, you are fine." Yan Cuo did not look back, but just glanced at the sky, and finally let the tear fall.
