He got up to leave, saying, "No need."
Tang Yue kicked the door open, walked over, and easily broke the iron bars. The women inside didn't react at all to the door being kicked open, as if they were used to such scenes.
However, when they felt the chains binding them being broken, they could no longer remain calm. The women looked up at Tang Yue in surprise, their eyes flickering with light.
Tang Yue smiled at them, "Don't be afraid, you're safe now. I'm here to rescue you." Tang Yue's voice was soft and gentle, but it was filled with determination. The women were stunned by Tang Yue's words and couldn't react for a long time.
After a long while, one of them couldn't hold back his tears and burst into tears. This caused a chain reaction, with some people kneeling on the ground and crying as they expressed their gratitude to Tang Yue.
Hearing their cries, Tang Yue felt a pang of guilt. She wondered if she had been too lenient with the pirates. These women were being treated this way by the pirates, yet the pirates themselves hadn't received the punishment they deserved. Tang Yue felt she had made a mistake.
Gu Yanxi stood at the doorway, taking in everything. He noticed the expression on Tang Yue's face. Giving the women a chance to recover, Gu Yanxi gave Tang Yue a look, and Tang Yue followed him out of the house.
"What's wrong? Regretting it?"
Tang Yue let out a heavy sigh, "I feel I should avenge them."
Gu Yanxi's voice was cold, "No one should be responsible for someone else's life."
Tang Yue looked at him in surprise, and Gu Yanxi looked down into Tang Yue's eyes. "They don't know why they were captured by pirates and brought here. However, they should have taken full responsibility for their choices when they came out."
No one knows what the future holds once they step out of their home.
Tang Yue frowned slightly. Gu Yanxi looked at her and asked, "You don't agree?"
