Gu Yanxi turned around in surprise and looked at Tang Yue, "What's wrong?" Tang Yue said nonchalantly, "Let's go quickly, I feel like this place is going to collapse."
Gu Yanxi was startled by Tang Yue's words. Suddenly, he remembered those treasures. If they collapsed, it would take a long time to dig them out.
What should we do with that thing?
Tang Yue forcefully grabbed Gu Yanxi's arm, "You'd better be alive to spend the money! Let's go."
Gu Yanxi didn't notice that the second-in-command was staring blankly at the treasure room behind him, unable to come to his senses. Where were the treasures? How could so many treasures suddenly disappear?
Could it be that the boss has set up some other mechanism?
Before he could figure it out, the floor of the treasure room suddenly began to collapse. A huge black hole appeared before him.
"Hurry up!" Tang Yue was also a little anxious. She didn't want to cause herself any more trouble, so she pulled the two of them and rushed out of the treasure room.
The three stood on the ground outside the treasure room, looking down into the bottomless black hole, their hearts filled with the relief of surviving a disaster.
"That was thrilling! I never imagined there were so many dangerous traps hidden in this treasure room. This pirate captain is quite shrewd," Gu Yanxi exclaimed.
Tang Yue nodded in agreement, "Yes, the saying 'you can't judge a book by its cover' is true. It seems we need to be even more careful."
Tang Yue flicked her thumb and forefinger, and a burst of spiritual energy struck the second-in-command's forehead. The second-in-command felt as if something was missing from his head, and his eyes were no longer filled with astonishment.
He looked down at Tang Yue, his eyes filled with confusion. "Master, what's wrong with me?"
Tang Yue looked at him with a questioning gaze.
The second-in-command tapped his head. "Master, what are we going to do now?"
Gu Yanxi stared into the eyes of the second-in-command, wondering what tricks this kid was up to. Tang Yue knew what was going on and said calmly, "The cave in the treasure room just collapsed."
"ah?"
The second-in-command was startled. "No way? How could it have collapsed?" He wanted to make a good impression on his master. Swallowing hard, he glanced cautiously at Tang Yue and tentatively asked.
“Um, Master, I also know of a place where treasures are hidden, but the treasures there are all ordinary items, along with some foreign currency. Would you like to go take a look?”
Tang Yue raised an eyebrow; this guy was indeed quite "loyal."
Tang Yue shook her head, "You go back and take care of other things first, I'll just walk around by myself."
Gu Yanxi didn't follow either. Tang Yue quickly went to the places where the pirate leaders had mentioned storing their money. Just as the second-in-command had said, these places contained gold, silver, various items, and a lot of foreign banknotes.
Tang Yue had no concept of generating revenue or earning foreign exchange for China, and she had absolutely no interest in these banknotes. Therefore, she didn't take any of them. After all, she actually had quite a few Japanese banknotes in her spatial storage.
Tang Yue had been constantly upgrading her equipment, so she had no idea what was happening in the places she had visited. It could be said that the entire country of Japan was in an uproar, everyone was on edge, especially those areas bordering the places Tang Yue had been.
They seemed to be awaiting Tang Yue's trial. Everyone in the government was on high alert, eager to know who had done these things.
The houses on Pirate Island are mostly stone houses, and some lazier people live in wooden houses. Tang Yue went around to all the places where things were stored. Since these people still had to do their missions, Tang Yue did not take everything away.
Food supplies on the pirate island were limited, and they had also cleared several areas to store other unwanted items. Tang Yue thought these would be useful back in China, so she accepted them without hesitation.
When Tang Yue wandered out again, she ran into the second-in-command and Gu Yanxi.
Led by the second-in-command, Tang Yue and the others arrived at a secret outpost hidden in a low-lying area in the center of Pirate Island. As they entered the outpost, a mixture of fragrance and eerie atmosphere wafted towards them.
The houses in the settlement were different; some were built of stone, but these were relatively few, and most were wooden huts. Many women lived in these houses. When the group arrived, the women heard footsteps and came out of their houses.
The women's expressions varied. Some were dressed in fine clothes, with fawning smiles on their faces, exuding a seductive charm, trying to please the pirates in order to survive. Others were innocent and lovely, their eyes filled with fear and helplessness. They stood together, seemingly nervous, their bodies trembling, evoking pity.
There were also some women with a cold and aloof demeanor, seemingly out of place in this environment. They seemed like snow lotuses on a high mountain, unapproachable to these pirates; others displayed a coy and alluring attitude, as if they had learned to protect themselves in this chaotic world.
No women came out of the stone houses Tang Yue saw. Tang Yue's consciousness had already seen that there were several women inside, tightly chained. Their hair was disheveled, their clothes were tattered, their faces were covered in dirt, and their eyes were empty and desperate, as if they had lost all hope for life.
Seeing this, Tang Yue felt a surge of intense anger. She pointed at the stone house, "What's going on here?"
The second-in-command also found it strange; his memory was a bit confused. What was going on? Shouldn't the Chinese be treated as honored guests? How come he remembered that several disobedient Chinese women were locked up in these stone houses?
Seeing that the second-in-command remained silent, Tang Yue released a slight pressure. The second-in-command's legs went weak and he almost knelt down. He looked at Tang Yue blankly and said, "Benefactor, I can't remember why I treated them like that. I'll find someone to untie them right away."
