Chapter 302 Let's go meet the pirates

Tang Yue raised an eyebrow, finding it quite interesting. "If we take a detour, we can avoid them?"

Gu Yanxi shook his head. "It's not realistic to completely avoid it, but we can take a longer route. If there are ships passing through the strait or nearby, the pirates won't chase ships that are further away."

Tang Yue nodded to indicate that she understood. "What are your thoughts?"

Gu Yanxi's eyes showed worry. He knew Tang Yue probably had some special abilities, but fighting at sea was different from fighting on land. Most importantly, there were so many civilians on their ship who were unable to fight, and Gu Yanxi was very worried.

"Tang Yue, our ship has no weapons or equipment. I checked, and none of the ships docked in the port are armed. So, they should have taken precautions against these ships' departures."

Tang Yue nodded again, "Okay, then let's take the shortcut."

Gu Yanxi...

Gu Yanxi shrugged; he didn't care. Tang Yue went to the control room and drove towards the Erdu Strait, following the general route Gu Yanxi had given her.

The Erdu Strait was turbulent with waves, and the dark sky seemed like a heavy lead plate, making it hard to breathe. Dawn was approaching, but there was no sign of daylight at all.

The sea breeze howled, whipping up layers of waves that crashed against the cruise ship carrying Tang Yue and Gu Yanxi with a dull thud. A salty, damp atmosphere filled the air, making their skin feel as if it were covered with a sticky film.

The air here seemed thicker than anywhere else. It seemed like this place was inherently dangerous. Gu Yanxi's heart had been pounding ever since Tang Yue decided to cross the Erdu Strait, and now it was in his throat.

He felt as if he was being watched by something. Don't ask why; his intuition, honed over many years, told him it must be true.

Standing at the bow, Tang Yue's keen eyes pierced through the layers of mist, spotting the pirate ships approaching in the distance. The ships bobbed on the waves like a pack of lurking wolves, poised to pounce.

Unable to ignore the unease in his heart, Gu Yanxi quickly walked to Tang Yue's side, his expression grave as he watched the approaching threat.
