Chapter 196: Postscript
With the end of summer, Bianjing's brief and false period of peace came to a complete halt.
In order to better make up for the losses of Jin Feng Xi Yu Lou and Liu Fen Ban Tang in the final battle, the Mi Tian Seven Saints Alliance was almost torn apart. Even though it was not ultimately annexed because of Guan Qi, it was not difficult for Xie Huailing, Bai Feifei and Di Feijing to bypass Guan Qi and deal with many people.
The gradual decline of the Seven Saints Alliance of Mitian also signifies the renewed upheaval in Bianjing, with waves of turmoil rising in the martial arts world. The brief cooperation between Jinfeng Xiyu Tower and Liufenban Hall quickly broke down. After the decisive battle, their already strained relationship deteriorated further, becoming an irreconcilable feud. This time, no one could intervene. For a time, any force simultaneously involved between these two gangs felt insecure.
Autumn arrived amidst this tense atmosphere, bringing with it the news of Su Mengzhen's recovery. He had completely escaped the clutches of death, thanks to the miraculous healing of some unparalleled physician, whose illness that had tormented him for over twenty years vanished. Even while battling illness, Su Mengzhen had already established himself as the leading figure in the righteous path; now, recovered, he had become the talk of the town in Bianjing, with everyone wondering what great achievements he would make.
It was as if it were a premonition, a premonition of a completely new and more unpredictable future, and everyone wanted to touch what that future looked like, filled with curiosity and fear.
Of course, some people wanted to know, while others didn't care, and still others were furious and suffered greatly from these changes.
.
As mentioned earlier, the primary victim in the Golden Wind and Drizzle Pavilion's actual resounding victory was Shaman. According to her original plan, she would work under Xie Huailing for a few more years, accumulate enough achievements, and then seize the opportunity to earn a great deal of credit. With Xie Huailing's recommendation and guarantee, she would rise to a true senior management position at the Golden Wind and Drizzle Pavilion. For this goal, she was willing to continue to endure hardship and humiliation under Xie Huailing.
However, because of Di Feijing, because of Di Feijing's existence, her first step encountered a crisis halfway through.
After resolving the matter of the Seven Saints Alliance of the Bewitching Heaven and Su Mengzhen waking up, Xie Huailing had a complete break. Bai Feifei and Yang Wuxie were enough to complete 90% of the tasks assigned by Su Mengzhen, and Xie Huailing left the remaining 10% to Shaman. The only thing Xie Huailing had to do all day was to occasionally show up in front of Su Mengzhen to prove that he was still alive.
Shaman had anticipated this situation. Xie Huailing's workload was already quite unstable. When she was working non-stop before, Shaman, who was assisting her, was so busy that she almost wanted to hang herself. Now that there wasn't much to do, it was good for Shaman to take a break. Besides, one-tenth of the work was hardly an easy task, and it was enough to slowly accumulate performance.
As a result, Di Feijing suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Shaman only knew that Xie Huailing had some free time, but she forgot that Di Feijing was able to "share" her workload when he was at his busiest after taking over. Now he would definitely be able to "share" even more. When she realized this, her blood pressure immediately rose.
Admittedly, it's Xie Huailing's freedom to decide who to assign tasks to. Shaman also knows that Xie Huailing has always wanted a subordinate as capable as Yang Wuxie. She herself isn't particularly satisfied with her boss outside of work, but when a competitor actually appears, she still feels furious.
Getting angry was useless; she still had to greet Di Feijing. Shaman's displeasure was almost tangible, but fortunately, she was an extremely proud beauty, which masked it somewhat: "Miss has gone to see the Lord of the Tower. Young Master Di, please wait a moment. You may wander around the tower or wait in the reception room. Please make yourselves at home."
Anyway, Di Feijing is now on the same boat as Jin Feng Xi Yu Lou, so Xie Huailing doesn't restrict his movements. If he happens to come by chance, she'll even force him to come alive, even if it's not her responsibility. That's what they say, since he's already here.
After receiving the person, Shaman didn't want to stay with Di Fei any longer. Since she still had work to do, she took her leave first. Out of consideration for her appearance, she left with her back turned and walked away politely.
Di Feijing naturally knew what Shaman was thinking, but pretended not to. He slowly looked around the scenery of the Golden Wind and Drizzle Pavilion, and although he had some things on his mind, none of them were visible on his face.
Walking alone along the path, he didn't have the habit of looking left or right, and his neck didn't support him looking up. Di Feijing only glanced occasionally, and suddenly stopped when he reached the edge of Tianquan Pond. He remembered Xie Huailing telling him that she had recently been thinking of raising fish in Tianquan Pond. Firstly, the fish in Tianquan Pond were neither good-looking nor tasty, and she didn't approve of Su Mengzhen's taste in fish. Secondly, she wanted to go fishing, and to fish, you first need obedient fish.
Now that he had recalled this matter, Di Feijing went to see the Heavenly Spring Pool. The pool water shimmered, and the fish swam like silk threads, creating a very charming atmosphere. After seeing it, Di Feijing actually agreed with Su Mengzhen's taste. However, since Xie Huailing had spoken, it could only be that she was right.
After taking a quick look, it was time to leave. Di Fei was about to leave when someone called out to him from the side. It was an unfamiliar voice, but one he had heard before.
The boy who had met Shaman once before was also by the pond. Di Feijing immediately realized that the boy was probably there for him. He didn't move and remained standing in place. The boy quickly walked in and stopped two steps away. The fish in the pond scattered and fled, as if trying to avoid them, and rushed away from them.
There's no way Wang Lianhua would let Di Feijing go. But to say he had any ulterior motives is also untrue; he simply suffered a loss at the hands of an unexpected and unclear person, and he wanted revenge. Not to mention, Wang Lianhua naturally harbored hostility towards men with any connection to Xie Huailing, which is why he approached and this scene unfolded.
"Last time we met, I didn't ask your name, young master. What is your surname? How about we become friends?" Wang Lianhua asked with a kind smile and her eyes crinkled.
Di Feijing remained silent at first, still gazing at the waters of Tianquan Pool. He and Wang Lianhua appeared to be two completely different types of men at first glance. His beautiful face always seemed to carry a hint of restraint and a vague shyness. After a few seconds, he looked up and replied, "Let's skip the friend part. My surname is Xie."
Upon hearing this surname, Wang Lianhua smiled even more gently, skipping over the surname and addressing him as if she hadn't heard him: "Why do you say no? Aren't we destined to be together? We owe a great debt to you for what happened to Miss Shaman."
Having said that, he completely revealed his identity, and then said, "Look at my memory, I was so busy talking to you, sir, that I forgot to introduce myself. My surname is Wang, and I am unknown in the martial arts world. However, you should have heard of me in one of Miss Xie's stories, although my name did not appear in it. The reason I am staying at the Golden Wind and Drizzle Pavilion is because of my past relationship with Miss Xie."
Upon hearing this, Di Feijing finally looked over.
He knew most of the men who had appeared in Xie Huailing's life. For example, the strange man he had met once in the teahouse. He knew exactly who had appeared in her stories: Su Mengzhen, Chu Liuxiang, Lu Xiaofeng, Hua Manlou, Wuqing... Which of them could be the men whose names were not mentioned?
The torment of the long night was recalled again, followed by the day when the news of her engagement came. His most painful period resurfaced, and Di Feijing slowly rolled his eyes.
The atmosphere changed, yet it didn't; Wang Lianhua remained the same, or perhaps this was exactly what he wanted.
He asked again, "Young master, you're not one of the people at the Golden Breeze and Fine Rain Pavilion, are you? What do you do for a living? Last time, you really helped me a lot. Miss Xie came to see me directly. It's such a rare treat to have such a wonderful night. I'm so grateful to you, young master."
.
A summer flower blooms alone, not yet blown away by the autumn wind. It is not completely withered, like a tear hanging but not yet falling, or a person who has become thin and emaciated but has not died. It extends horizontally from among the trees, vaguely blocking the scene by the Tianquan Pool not far away. The undercurrents by the Tianquan Pool are surging—no, they are probably about to be exposed.
Bai Feifei never liked these kinds of dramas; they always bothered her and made her feel like they were a waste of time. She prided herself on being detached from love and relationships, and if it weren't for the occasion and the people around her, she wouldn't even give it a second glance: "Go and separate these two people. Someone will always pass by. Don't let others laugh at you."
"It's not that bad." Xie Huailing leaned against a pillar, completely hidden from view, with Bai Feifei in front of her, not a bit of her was exposed. She yawned, not taking it to heart. "They know what they're doing. Besides, I don't want to get involved. It's too much trouble. Let them play their own game."
But Bai Feifei cared about more than just that. She continued, "You never told me about you and Di Feijing."
She tapped on the pillar, and Xie Huailing feigned innocence: "You didn't ask either."
Bai Feifei laughed: "If I don't ask, you won't tell me. But when I do ask, you're surprised?"
The fact that the person behind her dared to respond immediately infuriated Bai Feifei, as if a flame of anger was about to ignite within her, threatening to engulf her head. Fortunately, her expression was too cold, so she didn't show it. She continued, "There are a few more, you've already mentioned them, haven't you? People from the Six and a Half Hall, Wang Yunmeng's son, that one from the Taiping Prince's Mansion..." Gong Jiu couldn't quite describe them, so Bai Feifei skipped over the details, "What kind of people are they? Aren't there any good ones?"
It's not that Bai Feifei is biased towards good or evil; she herself is quite eccentric. But looking at Xie Huailing's luck with men, it's truly bizarre.
Xie Huailing thought for a moment and answered honestly: "I've told you about the handsome Wuqing from the Divine Marquis's Mansion, and his friend, who is currently our only boss."
There really was one. Bai Feifei remained silent: "..."
But it was better than the previous three, so she quickly felt relieved. She was about to ask again when she suddenly remembered something else and changed her mind: "Do you know that the two of them are meeting today?"
"Who, Su Mengzhen and Wuqing?"
"you do not know?"
"Please, I haven't been involved in anything for days, how would I know?"
Seeing Xie Huailing's reaction, Bai Feifei couldn't help but ask, "Do they know what the other is thinking?"
Xie Huailing thought for a moment, but she wasn't entirely sure: "Wuqing probably has some suspicions about Su Mengzhen. Su Mengzhen... If Wuqing hadn't told him, as soon as his friend woke up, that 'I think I've fallen for your cousin who's been working in your place for a while and is suspected to be your sweetheart,' he probably wouldn't know. But once they met, he probably knew everything."
Bai Feifei fell silent again, already imagining a suffocating scene. After a moment of silence, she said, "I won't save you if something happens."

Here's a little skit that's hard to insert into the main text:
Good morning to the poster who has recovered from illness and is now resting. (Making a grand entrance)
Ms. Xie: (She actually knew who it was, but after looking left and right, she was shocked) Who are you?
Original Poster: ...
The main text is a chaotic scene that you can imagine; I won't go into detail. The last volume is about activating the time-jumping technique.
Then, here's a preview of my next book's pre-order. If you're interested, feel free to check it out and add it to your favorites. The draft is still a bit rough around the edges, but I'll revise it later (starts kowtowing).

[Martial Arts Crossover] Aspiring to be an Idol Girl
.
Ten years after transmigrating, Lu Ningzhen found a Jianghu Pop System.
The system rushed in, shouting things like "Number One Female Star in the World," "My Host Has Instantly Defeated the Whole World," and "All-Around Ace with No Rivals, Only Subordinates." In order to support herself and her childhood friend with the same surname, she decided to train for a few years and prepare for her debut.
However, her understanding of the concept of idols was still too narrow. When she saw the first task was "Choose a suitable debut company - become a disciple of the Netherworld Palace Master, and your junior brother Flying Swordsman will be given away with a click," Lu Ningzhen felt that something was wrong.
When she saw that her debut concept was "a true idol should be famous all over the world," she began to regret it.
However, it was all too late.
————
One night later
Lu Ningzhen: I'm here to file a complaint. You'd better pity me and not laugh.
System: You said this is a very serious matter, and I have received professional training, so I don't usually laugh easily.
Lu Ningzhen: I want to complain about why my debut promotion was focused on the Thief King. Will I really not be criticized for stealing the same thing as my senior?
System: But doesn't the idea of spending a romantic night with a master thief sound a bit unappealing?
Lu Ningzhen: This beautiful night is not the same as that beautiful night!
System: There's no obligation not to freeload!
.
Lu Ningzhen: Then, for my debut album, can you explain why the scene is set in the execution ground of Bianjing? Am I fighting against the Six Doors and the Divine Marquis's Mansion? Am I a lawless outlaw?
System: Black or red is still red. Just tell me if the streaming volume is high or not, and whether it can suddenly drop to the top of the Song Dynasty's trending searches.
Lu Ningzhen: What exactly makes me famous? Is it the wanted poster? Not only can I suddenly appear on the trending topics, but my head is going to appear on the trending topics too!
.
System: Since you've asked me so many questions, let me ask you some too. What do you think of the hype surrounding you and Four Eyebrows at the Golden Roc Dynasty book signing? And what about the rumors surrounding Ghost Manor and the Desert Demoness...?
Lu Ningzhen: (Feeling guilty) (Whistles)
System: Alright, alright, we're evenly matched, so let's not argue. Don't be angry. How about this, I'll organize a tour for you next time, and I'll definitely take you to the best places.
Lu Ningzhen: Really? Is it really reliable?
System: Guaranteed authentic!
Lu Ningzhen: Then I'll trust you one more time. I'm leaving now.
.
Sometime later
Lu Ningzhen: Is the palace the best place? Why do I have to fight to the top of the Forbidden City?
#This article includes content such as Four Eyebrows, Treading the Moon and Leaving Fragrance, The Four Great Constables, Little Li Flying Dagger, and the Lord of the Underworld Palace. My childhood friend is the first character, and it is roughly a combination of Crouching Dragon and Phoenix Chick.
#Warning: Contains elements of a powerful female protagonist with exceptionally high martial arts talent.
#The romance plot is mostly written as I dream about it, but the male lead will definitely be a rich young master (for the sake of the show).
