Chapter 407 Buying a Car Through Connections

Lin Yifeng paused for a moment, touching the object in his hand.

Then they saw Yang Biaozi winking at Lin Yifeng.

"I often use this in big battles!"

"It works!"

"I guarantee your sister-in-law won't be able to get up this early then."

Lin Yifeng opened his palm and saw two small blue pills in his hand.

Why is Yang Biaozi waiting for me here?

Lin Yifeng looked at this thing and didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

After breakfast, Yang Biaozi took Lin Yifeng straight to the suburbs.

The main reason I came here is to find someone named "Monkey".

This man used to work with Yang Biaozi on the sea. They both started from scratch, but later he moved to Tianjin to develop his business, while Yang Biaozi stayed in Tianjin to continue his seafaring business.

In Yang Biaozi's words, this guy is doing quite well here, and the two of them share the same hobbies.

Yang Biaozi likes big foreign horses, while Monkey loves little cherry blossoms.

The two are good friends to some extent, and they get together for a couple of meals every year when they have time.

After the taxi driver arrived in the suburbs, he drove directly to the area where car dealerships gathered, but Yang Biaozi pointed the way and told the driver to keep going forward.

After passing through this area, we were about to head towards an even more desolate suburb.

The driver seemed to have guessed something and hurriedly shook his head, refusing to Yang Biaozi.

"No, no."

"We can't go any further."

"I can't go to this place."

Yang Biaozi frowned and immediately urged him on.

"Just go. With me here, what are you afraid of?"

The driver glanced at Yang Biaozi, but gritted his teeth and continued driving.

Sitting in the back seat, Lin Yifeng and Ye Yuqing were rather curious about where Yang Biaozi was going to take them.

However, judging from the driver's appearance, continuing down this road might not be a good place.

Sure enough, not far after driving, a dilapidated little village came into view.

Various luxury cars were parked at the entrance of the village, and a small guard post not far from the village entrance was blocked by a fence, blocking the road that would have led further ahead.

A shady-looking man emerged from the small guard post, carrying a wooden stick in his hand.

He looked at the taxi approaching with a puzzled expression, while inside the police booth, many people also stood up and looked into the distance.

The driver's expression changed drastically when he saw the person walking towards him.

Yang Biaozi remained completely calm.

The young man approached and waved repeatedly at the driver.

"Reverse!"

"We can't get through here!"

"Go back! Go back!"

Yang Biaozi grabbed the driver's steering wheel and beckoned to the young man in front of him from inside the car.

The young man cautiously approached, and just as he was about to explain, he heard Yang Biaozi order him around.

"Go tell the monkey."

"Yang Biaozi is looking for him."

This completely stunned the young man.

He hurried back to the small guard post, where a group of people gathered around and chatted amongst themselves, peering through the windows at the two taxis that were approaching.

The fact that someone can call out the name "monkey" here must have a story that's not so simple.

Soon the people inside made a phone call using a landline, and a short while later a group of people hurriedly moved the fence, and even smiled apologetically at Yang Biaozi.

"Brother Yang, I'm sorry, we didn't receive any notification."

"We'll take you there right away!"

After he finished speaking, a Santana parked on the side led the way, guiding everyone deeper into the area.

On the way, the driver kept glancing at Yang Biaozi, which made Yang Biaozi a little impatient. He handed over his cigarette and explained with a smile.

"I'm here to meet a friend and take care of something."

"Don't worry, driver. Once you get to your destination, you can leave."

"The people here won't make things difficult for you."

The driver nodded blankly.

After the car drove in, it quickly stopped in front of a large courtyard.

The courtyard was a self-built house in the village, with three floors. Various luxury cars were parked in the courtyard. In addition to the Mercedes-Benz W14 that Lin Yifeng had seen in Shanghai, he also saw an American version of a Dodge pickup truck.

This thing is a rare find these days; you can't get your hands on it without some skill.

Before Lin Yifeng even got out of the car and entered the house, he could already hear the sound of mahjong being played inside.

After getting out of the car, Yang Biaozi patted the dirt off his backside, took out a gold chain from his bag and put it around his neck, then led Lin Yifeng and Ye Yuqing into the house.

As soon as she entered the room, Ye Yuqing couldn't help but frown.

The entire first floor was filled with smoke, and many people were shirtless, smoking, and playing cards while standing on chairs.

The appearance of Lin Yifeng and Ye Yuqing also attracted the attention of this group of people. Many people also showed lewd smiles to Ye Yuqing, but they were quickly scared away by the roguishness of Yang Biaozi.

Lin Yifeng raised an eyebrow.

"From Shanghu?"

Yang Biaozi grinned and nodded silently as he introduced the man to Lin Yifeng.

"This place is the monkeys' territory."

"Those over there are the ones playing around the lake, and the group behind them are the ones driving cars."

"The main problem is that there's no one to manage things in the mountain valleys, so the people who come to play are all very big."

Yang Biaozi glanced at the people around him and shrugged.

Lin Yifeng certainly understood what Yang Biaozi meant.

To put it bluntly, this place is a gambling den. The "Wei Hu" are, in their underworld terms, the security guards here. They deal with anyone who causes trouble.

As for the "pawn car" that Yang Biaozi mentioned, it actually refers to a group of loan sharks who specialize in providing collateral for gambling addicts.

Before even seeing the monkey, Lin Yifeng had already figured out its origins.
