Chapter 5 Bargaining

Wang Qiang would occasionally steal glances at his second uncle outside the window.

Seeing that it was almost time, he leaned close to Qin Huairu's ear and whispered a few words.

Qin Huairu nodded, then rummaged through her clothes, ran her fingers through her hair, and lay down on the bed.

At this moment, Uncle Er was listening intently. Although he was old, there were not many entertainment activities in this era, so he would still go out for a game with his wife from time to time.

But his own wife was nowhere near as good as Qin Huairu. This made him both envious and jealous, and he hated Wang Qiang even more.

He wondered why it had taken so long. It must have been half an hour. And it wasn't over yet. This Wang Qiang was quite skilled, no wonder he was young.

While he was lost in thought.

Suddenly everything went black, and I fainted.

...

In a hazy, dreamlike state, the second uncle heard the sound of a woman crying nearby.

He opened his eyes and looked around.

They found Qin Huairu with disheveled hair, sitting on the bed with torn clothes, crying with her head down.

He looked back and found that the courtyard was packed with people; almost all the residents had come.

Uncle Er was startled. What was going on?

Then I noticed that I had taken off my pants and shirt.

I think we should call the police.

Wang Qiang stepped forward and was the first to speak.

"We can't let him off so easily; we have to make him pay us back."

The speaker was Qin Huaru's mother-in-law, Jia Zhangshi.

She was visiting neighbors when she heard what was happening in the courtyard. She rushed back, only to find her daughter-in-law, Qin Huairu, sitting on the bed crying with her hair disheveled, and a half-naked man lying on the floor.

Before she could even lash out, Qin Huairu's crying attracted the attention of the other people in the courtyard.

"You old geezer, I was wondering why you'd been gone for so long."

Auntie Er came up and grabbed Uncle Er, hitting and scratching him repeatedly.

"Hey, are you trying to ruin the scene?"

Wang Qiang came over. He pretended to stop her, but actually condoned Second Aunt's behavior.

At this moment, the second uncle's three sons arrived and saw what was happening. They quickly stepped forward to separate their parents.

His eyes, however, stole glances at Qin Huairu, who was still crying, because her torn clothes revealed a section of her snow-white skin at her waist.

"Take him away, take him to the police station."

"Hey, I'm telling you, we're all just borrowing from each other, let's talk this out and not make such a big deal out of it. If this gets out of hand, it'll be a real problem."

The one who spoke was the third uncle, who came over to stop him.

“You can’t tell me that. You have to ask the victim.”

Wang Qiang glanced in the direction of Jia Zhangshi.

At this moment, Jia Zhangshi cried and made a scene, grabbing onto her second uncle and refusing to let go.

The second uncle's family also understood at this point.

If this matter blows up, it will do them no good at all; the whole family will probably never be able to hold their heads up again.

His mother quickly came over and grabbed Jia Zhangshi, pleading with her.

"Sister-in-law, this is all because of Second Uncle. That old geezer has gone mad."

"Oh dear, I'm not going to live anymore! You're bullying us orphans and widows!"

Jia Zhangshi cried with snot and tears streaming down her face.

"Let's discuss this and see how much compensation we can make them pay."

The old man was a kind-hearted person. Seeing this scene, which was causing such a commotion, he couldn't help but come over and offer some words of comfort.

He knew that Jia Zhangshi was extremely greedy and that he could definitely settle things with money.

As for Qin Huairu, she will definitely listen to her mother-in-law.

Once we get Jia Zhangshi on board, this matter will be much easier.

Upon hearing that she would have to pay compensation, Jia Zhangshi immediately stopped crying and perked up.

"Then how much compensation do you want?"

"Let's talk in the yard, instead of all inside."

After the old man finished speaking, Jia Zhangshi thought it made sense.

Especially his own daughter-in-law, Qin Huairu, was dressed in tattered clothes, her private parts exposed.

The men in the room, regardless of age, would occasionally glance in Qin Huairu's direction.

"Then get out to the yard quickly!"

As if afraid of being taken advantage of if she looked any longer, Madam Jia changed her previous attitude and shooed people out.

The eldest and third uncles sat down in the main seat in the courtyard.

The second uncle was still dazed and confused. He was dragged to sit opposite him.

His wife and three sons surrounded him.

Wang Qiang, Sha Zhu, and others gathered around.

Jia Zhangshi sat imposingly in the middle.

"Then it's settled, this will be considered a private chat."

An old man spoke up.

"So how much compensation are you prepared to pay?"

Jia Zhangshi is not interested in private or public chats; she's willing to do anything as long as she gets the money.

"this……"

The man hesitated, looking troubled. He knew they should take money from the three sons of the former second uncle: Liu Guangfu, Liu Guangtian, and Liu Guangqi. These three were notoriously stingy and miserly.

"Look, we don't have much money. How about 5 yuan?"

It was Auntie Er who spoke up.

"Five yuan is not enough to appease a beggar. I'm telling you, this isn't over. If you don't like it, we'll go to the police station."

When Jia Zhangshi heard the price, she immediately exploded.

“If you keep doing this, we won’t be able to say anything nice to you.”

Even the third uncle couldn't stand it anymore and couldn't help but scold him.

"Then how much money do you think would be appropriate?"

Liu Guangqi, the eldest son of the second uncle, retorted, somewhat unconvinced.

"Hey, how can you talk like that? Is this your family's business or someone else's? If you're going to have this attitude, then just send your dad straight to the police station and that's it."

The old man's words silenced the others.
