Chapter 107 Titan

Zhang Shi wandered aimlessly on the street for a few minutes when a loud noise suddenly came from not far away. Even the ground trembled slightly with the sound. Pipi was already on alert and growled in front of him.

Zhang Shi knew he had a big job coming up, so he and Pipi slipped into a convenience store by the roadside to hide, planning to catch the zombies off guard when they appeared.

As the loud noise grew clearer, Zhang Shi realized that it was the footsteps of the mysterious zombie, which made him wonder just how huge the zombie was.

A moment later, a colossal figure appeared at the end of the street. It was a towering monster, like a Titan, standing over 4 meters tall.

It has no skin; its flesh and blood are exposed as if they have been compressed and reorganized. Twisted and swollen dark red chunks of flesh are visible all over its body, like dark red popcorn.

Each of its joints was covered with a red fleshy growth, the kind only mutated zombies have. Its head was covered with an enormous fleshy growth that occupied almost two-thirds of its entire head, making the proportions extremely exaggerated.

Its arms are covered with sharp, ivory-like bone spikes, like Wolverine's claws, piercing through its own flesh and blood, appearing incredibly destructive.

The Titan zombie casually swung its hand, its immense strength sending the abandoned car blocking its path flying, and continued forward along the road, its destination unknown.

Zhang Shi used his True Sense to examine the monster and discovered that it was actually a refined-level zombie.

Zhang Shi knew how powerful the exquisite-level monster was, and dared not recklessly charge forward again. However, he was also unwilling to let it escape, especially since he only needed 100 kills to reach his mission objective. Zhang Shi estimated that once he dealt with this Titan, he should be able to complete the mission.

After some deliberation, Zhang Shi decided to take action.

This should be the old town area; the tallest residential buildings nearby are no more than six stories high.

Zhang Shi and Pipi split up, each arriving at the top floor of a residential building. At this moment, Titan was very close to Zhang Shi. Seeing that the time was right, Zhang Shi drew back his bowstring, unleashing a triple strike aimed at the massive tumor on Titan's head.

Titan seemed to smell a living person and was about to turn his head to look in Zhang Shi's direction when the arrow came flying with a strong wind. The sharp arrowhead pierced through the tumor, followed by two energy arrows that blasted the tumor to pieces.

The tumor on Titan's head suddenly gushed out countless streams of dark red liquid, and the originally swollen tumor quickly dried up.

Caught off guard by the sudden attack, the Titan zombie let out a deafening roar that seemed to tear space apart, shaking the surrounding buildings to the point of collapse. Its eyes instantly turned crimson, filled with rage and a bloodthirsty desire, and its massive body began to tremble violently, the surrounding air seemingly distorted by its fury.

Seeing the Titan's formidable power, Zhang Shi felt a chill run down his spine, but he did not back down. Instead, his determination to destroy this monster only strengthened. He quickly took out more arrows from his backpack, each one embodying his desire for victory and his tenacity for survival.

The Titan zombie roared and began searching for its attacker. Its steps were heavy and powerful, each one shaking the ground as if it wanted to trample the entire world under its feet. Just then, Zhang Shi's arrow shot out again, like a bolt of lightning, striking the Titan zombie's leg joint.

The arrow was sharp and easily pierced the fleshy tumor at the joint again. The explosive attached to the arrow then detonated, completely shattering the tumor. The Titan zombie's dark red, foul-smelling blood gushed out like a spring, staining the surrounding air red.

The Titan zombie, in pain, angrily looked up and finally locked onto Zhang Shi's location.

It grabbed an abandoned car with both hands and threw it toward Zhang Shi, attempting to smash the tiny creature that dared to provoke it into a pulp.

But Zhang Shi's opportunity came at this moment. He aimed at the other weaknesses exposed by the Titan zombie due to pain and fired several arrows in succession. Each arrow was extremely accurate and deeply embedded itself in the various tumors of the Titan zombie.

The Titan zombie was like a leaky water balloon, with several streams of blood gushing out, staining its body red, and the air in the street was filled with a strong smell of blood.

The Titan zombie cried out in pain, its roar growing even more shrill. It frantically flailed its arms, trying to shake off the arrows lodged in its body.

Seeing that the time was ripe, Zhang Shi put down his composite bow, took out his old Duan sword, and leaped from the sixth floor, landing steadily on top of the Titan zombie's head.

Using the force of gravity, Zhang Shi activated Triple Strike and slashed fiercely at the Titan Zombie's head. Zhang Shi gripped the hilt tightly and slid down quickly, his body close to the Titan Zombie. Old Duan left a huge wound on the Titan Zombie's body. If the blade hadn't been too short, this one strike would have been enough to cut it in two.

The Titan zombie, having suffered repeated blows, was enraged beyond measure. Its entire body bent over, and it slammed its hands toward Zhang Shi's landing point. The bone claws on its arms were like giant steel bars, easily piercing through the concrete ground.

On the other hand, Zhang Shi had already used Pipi's position to teleport to another building using Shadow Step, thus avoiding the Titan zombie's attack.

Back on the rooftop, Zhang Shi took control of the high ground and used a composite bow combined with explosives to attack the Titan zombie, targeting its weak points with every shot. The tumors on the Titan zombie's body were quickly destroyed, and it gradually lost its ability to move.

As each tumor burst open, the parasitic worms within curled up and fell to the ground. The Titan zombie's body began to disintegrate, its flesh torn into pieces by the force of the explosion, its internal organs and bones scattered everywhere, creating a horrific and bloody scene.

The air was thick with a nauseating stench and a heavy smell of blood, as if the whole world was shrouded in the brutal battle.

Finally, the Titan zombie's massive body crashed to the ground, sending dust and debris flying. Its eyes lost their light, and its enormous body lay there silently, no longer moving. Zhang Shi and Pipi stood on the ruins, gazing at the victory before them, their hearts filled with both the joy of triumph and a profound shock at the horror and bloodshed of the battle.

If this thing appeared in the wilderness, it could really cause considerable damage to the walls. Zhang Shi was somewhat worried. This Titan zombie was clearly a monster controlled by countless worms and assembled from the corpses of zombies.

This indicates that the worms possess a certain level of intelligence, and even social behavior. Zhang Shi worries that as the zombies evolve, the mutated zombies will also combine with each other to become higher-ranking and more troublesome Titan zombies, which would pose a severe challenge to the shelter.
