Our attention returned to the first Blood Servant to engage in battle.
The energy output from the psionicists was much more restrained, no longer primarily aimed at attacking and killing, but rather at using the least amount of energy to disperse the attacks of the blood servants.
The result of this is that the Blood Servant's condition declines slowly, but he is always unable to organize an effective attack, and the battle is not over for a long time.
"It's over. The other divine messengers also encountered these blood-based monsters. We were wrong. The Dragon Kingdom really can mass-produce these things!" The fire-controlling psychic's energy had long been exhausted, and he hid to the side to recover.
They have just made contact with other rebellious psionicists in the Dragon Kingdom. All fourth-tier psionicists have been blocked by the Blood Servants, and some fourth-tier psionicists are on the verge of collapse.
"Damn it! I shouldn't have listened to those bastards in the Nordic region. Now..." The fourth-tier psionicist's face was a little pale. Even though the power was not high, he still felt unwell after using psionic energy for a long time.
Before he could finish speaking, the Blood Servant killed several more crazed believers, replenished his strength, and attacked again.
"This is never going to end, brothers! Stop saving your energy! Nobody can help us now. Concentrate your firepower and kill him in one go!" The fourth-tier psionicist roared, his chest expanding at an eerie rate.
It's as if the skin on my chest has turned into rubber, like a frog.
The remaining third-tier psionicists also knew that this was not a solution, so they mobilized all the remaining energy in their bodies and tried to directly eliminate the blood servant in front of them.
Almost simultaneously, the two forces clashed. The psionicists' various abilities swept over the Blood Servant's attack with overwhelming force, annihilating it into dust.
"It...it's a success!" The fourth-tier psionicist slumped to the ground, panting heavily, his voice hoarse, likely a side effect of the killing move he had just used.
Upon closer inspection, the blood on the ground was no longer moving at all.
"Wait! Something's wrong, run!" A sharp-eyed third-tier psionicist was the first to notice something was amiss.
It's true that the blood on the ground is not moving, but it's not even flowing in the most basic way, which means that the blood servant still has the power to control the blood.
What they didn't notice was that most of the "believers" with bloodshot eyes had bulging veins and tiny beads of blood seeping from their bodies.
As soon as the words fell, all the psionicists present scattered and fled for their lives.
"Brother, if we run away, how will we explain it to Father Odin?" the fire-controlling psychic asked, his face full of worry.
"Idiot, are you out of your mind? That guy is a ruthless and cold-blooded war fanatic. Do you really want to be his slave for life? Staying here will only lead to your death. I'm not going to play along. If you want to wait to die, go ahead. I'm leaving!" The fourth-level psionicist was still running desperately, turning back to glare at him fiercely.
However, they seem to no longer need to think about it so much.
As they sped through Kyoto, they encountered other psionicists who were also fleeing for their lives like headless flies, whom they called "divine messengers."
"Damn! When did China get these bio-engineered humans? And they can even mass-produce them?" Several teams led by fourth-tier psionicists encountered them and were now gathered together discussing the origins of the Blood Servants.
“Now we should think about how to survive. These cyborgs don’t know how they work. They’re impossible to kill. They can regenerate as long as they have blood. The hostages are just a burden!” Another fourth-tier psionicist spoke up. He was in good condition, but he had no teammates behind him.
Clearly, he had discarded these people as stepping stones to delay the advance of the Blood Servant.
"Let's continue searching for the other 'divine messengers' and recover our strength. We'll make further plans after we meet up with the other fourth-tier psionicists."
Everyone looked lifeless, a far cry from their earlier passionate pronouncements of Nordic religious beliefs to the people of Kyoto.
However, the quiet scene was soon broken by a sudden burst of applause.
"It wasn't for nothing that I brought you all together. Now tell me, is the Odin you speak of the same Odin, the Allfather of the Gods in Norse mythology? And tell me your reasons for rebellion and your plans." It was Li Xuanzu who spoke.
He was the only one in the Dragon Kingdom with that kind of strength, able to stand in front of nearly ten fourth-tier psionicists and still chat and laugh.
Although his smile is rather cheeky.
