Chapter 2 Sister? Home?

That evening, after taking a bath, Xu Chen lay in the bedroom that the Xu family had prepared for him. He placed everything belonging to the Tianquan Sect in his storage bag, hanging it on his waist. While recalling the events of the day, he observed the room's layout. From Xu Nan's memories, he learned some information about the Xu family's son—they looked almost identical and shared the same name. Looking at the diary on the desk, he slowly opened it. The diary described the Xu family's son as a complete wastrel, smoking, drinking, fighting, and gambling. The diary contained words of defiance against his parents' discipline, as well as things they forbade him to do, which deepened Xu Chen's understanding of the Xu family's son. "Master, was this your doing?" Recalling the 'coincidence' of the day, Xu Chen murmured to himself.

Rewind to Xingcheng more than two years ago. Xu Chen, the纨绔 (wan ku, a spoiled brat) and Xu Nan's younger brother, was about to commit suicide with a knife in a grove when an old man called out to him, "Young man, what will happen to your family if you die?" The old man had saved him once before, and seeing him about to kill himself again, he didn't stop him, only asking a question. Xu Chen, remembering how his sister had almost lost her virginity to redeem him yesterday, his parents' disappointment in him, and his own years of being a scoundrel, felt immense pain. Tears streamed down his face, and his resolve to die grew even stronger. He didn't answer the old man's question, raised the knife, and fell to his death in front of him.

The old man was Xu Chen's master. He was passing through Earth and, for some reason, he had a strong urge to save a suicidal person, take him as his disciple, and help him become a powerful cultivator so that he could reverse time and return to Earth to make a triumphant comeback. So, after bumping into the suicidal playboy Xu Chen, he intervened and saved him.

Watching the death of the纨绔 (wan ku, a spoiled brat) Xu Chen, the old man stroked his beard, dismissing the strange thoughts in his mind. "So be it, so be it, nothing can be forced." With a wave of his hand, the纨绔 Xu Chen's body vanished instantly. "My disciple is also about to become a mortal. I'll make some arrangements so that he can take your place for the rest of your life and take care of your family."
